Nintendo stock has dropped in Japan due to bad reactions from E3.
Nintendo's stock has fallen by 2.68 percent on the Japanese stock exchange, seemingly because of the bad reaction to Nintendo's E3 presentation.
Nintendo has been criticised over the past couple of days by various press outlets, due to the fact that many felt they did not reveal many new titles and headline-worthy game announcements. The bad press has apparently affected stock holder faith in the company's upcoming products.

The Ubisoft game's weird spelling also is a throwback to the first Ubisoft game.
ZombiU was shown off before we even knew what the name of it was, game director Florent Sacré revealed to us, as the game was the zombie game featured in Nintendo's Pre E3 Nintendo Direct.
The genesis of that began one or two months ago when Ubisoft showed the game to Nintendo. Shortly before E3, Nintendo contacted Ubisoft about including the game in the presentation.

The Wii U will feature 8 gigabytes of flash storage, Time reports.
Although the included internal memory is somewhat limited, Nintendo does give gamers the option of expanding the memory via SD cards or by utilizing one of the USB ports on the Wii U to connect an external hard drive. No details... Read more...

Lara Croft's new adventure may be making its way to Nintendo's new console.
The new Tomb Raider shown off at the Microsoft E3 Press Conference earlier this week may be coming to Wii U, if a leaked Game Informer scan is to be believed.
This reboot of the long-running series, developed by Crystal Dynamics, focuses on the origin of Lara Croft, and how she became the character we know her as. The game tests your ability to survive in harsh environments while facing tough opponents.

New StreetPass and co-op modes were revealed.
Today during Nintendo's 3DS Software Showcase, while discussing the features for New Super Mario Bros 2. Nintendo announced that the entire single player game will be playable cooperatively.
The gameplay will restrict the players' movements, requiring both Mario and Luigi to be on the screen at the same time. The camera will be tied to the lead player.

The wait is finally over.
Fire Emblem: Awakening is due for a North American release, as reported by Nintendo President Reggie Fils-Aime.
He mistakenly revealed the localization in conversation with Kotaku's Stephen Totilo immediately after the Wednesday 3DS software showcase, and only realized the information wasn't in the press kit afterwards.

In addition, Pikmin 3 will run at 60 frames per second.
The first party Wii U games shown thus far at E3 will run natively at 720p. It is unknown if the games will upscale to 1080p. Speaking to Wii U Daily, a Nintendo representative on the show floor confirmed the native resolution of all games shown so far. The system supports video output at 1080p, but none of the first batch of games coming at launch will be running natively at that resolution.

Unlike its granddaddy, the Wii U is meant to lay down on the job.
The Wii U is designed exclusively for horizontal placement. In an interview with Kotaku, Nintendo creative lead Shigeru Miyamoto noted that one of the reasons they have been showing the system horizontally was so people would be clear it wasn't a Wii, which was traditionally shown standing vertically. Miyamoto indicated they could create a stand, but gave no sign that such a thing was in the works.

Unlike the 3DS, we'll get access to the storefront on day one.
The Wii U eShop will be available at console launch, according to the Wii U features list provided by Nintendo's E3 Media site.
The sheet lists one of the features of the Wii U as being the eShop: "The digital storefront for Wii U will be available at launch and offer a variety of content for people to download and enjoy. Consumers will also be able to purchase and download select games that are also available at retail stores."

The Heroes of Ruin developer is making this year's Skylanders game for Nintendo's portable.
Activision confirmed to us today that n-Space is developing the 3DS version of Skylanders Giants.
This was a shock considering that a few months ago we were told that Vicarious Visions was working on the game. It appears Vicarious Visions is doing other things, though it's still involved in the Skylanders universe, having developed the iOS game Skylanders: Cloud Patrol.
