Speedy buyers were able to make vast savings earlier today.
Nintendo UK's digital store accidentally discounted numerous retail games to less than £10 for a brief time earlier today.
Between 1pm and 2pm GMT, the website was temporarily selling first-party Wii U titles such as Pikmin 3 and The Wonderful 101 for £8.95 each, while 3DS games including Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team were priced at £7.95.

It's another slow week for Nintendo Downloads. Though, what this week lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality. After all, Chibi-Robo! Photo Finder is out this week.

Nintendo's market value has risen to surpass Sony with the opening of the Chinese market, following China's decision to lift the ban on consoles earlier this week.

The Canadian developer's future lies solely on Nintendo systems.
Next Level Games, the makers of Nintendo 3DS hit Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, will develop all of their future games exclusively for Nintendo platforms, as revealed by Next Level co-founder Jason Carr.
The company remains an independent studio and has not been purchased by Nintendo, but it will now serve as a second-party developer, maintaining its close relationship with the Japanese giant.

Better late than never. Even if it is two years late.
Weapon Shop de Omasse, the fourth and final title in the Guild01 series of Nintendo 3DS games produced by Level-5, will finally receive its Western localisation this year.
The localised version was outed by a ratings listing from the Australian Classifications Board. A wider release to North America and Europe is currently unconfirmed but likely.

Dedede is coming right back at ya!
Kirby series antagonist King Dedede is the latest veteran fighter to be confirmed as a playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
The self-proclaimed king of Dream Land made his series debut in the last game, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, on Wii, and like many of the returning fighters revealed so far, he appears to carry over a lot of his attacking moveset, including the Super Dedede Jump and the Jet Hammer.

And the battle over the 3D camera's patent infringement continues.
Nintendo has been ordered to pay royalties on every 3DS sale to Seijiro Tomita of Tomita Technologies USA, plus a set fine. This all comes at the end of the heated legal battle between Nintendo and Tomita Technologies over a patent dispute started back in 2011 over the use of glasses-free 3D technology.

Marketing departments everywhere brush up on their Chinese.
China temporarily lifted its 14-year ban on gaming consoles on Monday, allowing gaming companies like Nintendo to sell systems throughout the country. At the moment it is unclear how long the suspension will last.
Speculation over the end of the ban began last year but was seen as a far off goal since all seven ministries involved in its creation would have to agree to lift it.

Popularity proves too much for Nintendo.
The December 27 launch of the Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter applications has officially been postponed by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company according to a support message citing high volumes of traffic on the Nintendo Network as the cause. Both applications have also been pulled from Japan’s eShop for similar reasons and no new launch date for the software has been provided as of yet.
