Moray Towers is about to become hell on Inkopolis
The weekly Splatoon weapon update will hit tonight at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT and will bring a couple of modifications to existing weapons.
The Neo Splash-O-Matic is a color modification to the existing Splash-O-Matic, but packs Burst Bombs as the subweapon and an Inkzooka special for long-range blasting.

Nintendo of Europe has put a final number on the Animal Crossing Amiibo card collection.
There will be 100 cards to collect, each sold in 3 packs that are blind-packed. It would take at least 34 boosters to collect all of the collection, assuming no duplicates in any pack until the last one.

A long-standing relationship brings new ideas to the market.
Nintendo has teamed up with the video game development school Digipen to open a studio in Singapore.
DigiPen Game Studios will start out working on smaller titles, with the aim to bring some titles to the eShop later this year. Some game funding will be provided by Singapore's Media Development Authority.

You can get it from the Nintendo Network, but the window is only open for a short time.
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire players in North America and Europe will get a second crack at a Mythical Pokémon.
Diancie, the Rock/Fairy typed legendary Pokémon, will be available via a internet Mystery Gift from Friday July 24 to Monday July 27. It will come at Level 50 and will earn its Mega Stone if you bring it to a Pokémon Center after receiving it.

Japan is going to have another million seller on the 3DS just in time for the holidays.
A NicoNico livestream last night announced that Monster Hunter X will release on November 28 in Japan. The game runs on the Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate engine and will feature elements brought from 4 Ultimate like the Palicoes, but will feature more action elements and finishing moves adapted from the Asia-only Monster Hunter MMOs.

The off-again, on-again release of Devil's Third has been settled for North America, and the game will be published by Nintendo of America.

Hop on your Roll 'n Rocker and chug a Rolling Rock, the Nerd is coming back to the past - and Nintendo systems.
The Angry Video Game Nerd will return to Nintendo consoles.
At the 2015 SGC presented by Screw Attack, developer FreakZone Games announced that a second round of adventures of the Angry Video Game Nerd has entered development. The first game came out on Wii U and 3DS earlier this year, and the sequel is confirmed for "Nintendo consoles" as well as other platforms.

Touching words from the late President's funeral.
The funeral for the late Satoru Iwata was held Friday in Japan, with thousands attending the funeral for the late president of Nintendo.
At the funeral, Genyo Takeda delivered a eulogy (printed below) pledging to carry on Iwata's works and paying tribute to his friend's life. Nintendo released the translation of Takeda's remarks to Polygon.

The old-school RPG has a modern deal for you
Choice Provisions has picked up publishing rights for the 2013 throwback RPG Dragon Fantasy, and will release the game on Wii U and 3DS this week as Dragon Fantasy: The Volumes of Westeria.
Developed by Muteki, the throwback to 8-bit RPGs has appeared previously on Sony platforms, PC and mobile. As on other platforms, the game will feature crossbuy for Wii U and 3DS, with the North American launch price set at $9.99 US or $10.99 in Canada.

#TeamCoaster and #TeamWaterSlide will have some new toys to duel with late tonight.
Just in time for tonight's Splatfest, which starts at midnight ET / 9 p.m. Pacific, the squidkids will have a couple of new weapons to try out.
The Octobrush is a brush with denser bristles, causing more damage with a swing than the standard one. Its subweapon is the Squid Beakon, while the special will be the Kraken.

Sadly, we couldn't browbeat Jools into dropping a Treasurenauts date. UPDATED 11:40am ET.
In addition to the previously announced Xeodrifter Wii U date, last Sunday's edition of Nintendo World Rapport featured a couple of windows for other upcoming Renegade Kid titles straight from Jools Watsham.
As it stands, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge on Wii U and 3DS is aiming for early September while the 3DS remasters of Dementium: The Ward and Dementium 2 are looking at late October releases as they stand now.
