Another Pokémon movie is slated to make millions for Nintendo in the Summer of 2001 (Japan).
Nintendo has announced the fifth movie in the Pokémon series: Pokémon: Serebei's Time Adventure (rough translation). The movie will open in Japan on July 7th. Of course, that's the same month that the GameCube is scheduled to launch in Japan. July looks to be a very good month for Nintendo and Nintendo fans alike, in Japan anyway.

Xbox technologies just happened to register the trademark before M$... oh what to do now!?
No, it's not Bizarro World. Thanks to Magic Box, we're here to report more problems for X-Box. I don't want to seem like we're "system bashing" here at the Planet, though the state of the competition is relevent to Nintendo. On top of that, with rumors that Nintendo is afraid of Microsoft’s upcoming console, it’s good to point out reasons why it has no reason to be. Check it out:

You win some, you lose some.
Since this is official I might as well post it. Two more people have been added to the Planet Team, one more person is gone and another person is taking a vacation. First off, welcome David Trammell (AKA Rize) to our group. You’ll be seeing a lot of content goodies from David this week and will find yourself agreeing that I had little alternative but to add this talented fellow to our already overcrowded ranks.

The fine folks at SegaWeb have posted some interesting information they gathered while visiting Sega's Hitmaker Studios. The team seems eager to develop "younger-oriented titles" for the GameCube. What really grabbed me was this screen shot.
This is obviously some sort of menu selection screen. What I believe this is stating is that... Read more...

Is Paper Mario all that? Billy sure thinks so. See all the drool...
First off, I have to admit, I have never played Super Mario RPG. So, when I first played Paper Mario, I was a Mario RPG virgin. After investing 8-10 hours into Paper Mario, I wish I would have played Super Mario RPG! Paper Mario is a must have for anyone that is a Mario fan, as well as either a casual or hardcore RPG fan.

Solid confusion.
The other day, I mentioned the news that Metal Gear Solid 2 will be the last MGS. Well, it seems that Hideo Kojima has repeated this, alongside news that Metal Gear Solid X (the version for X-Box) would be a mix of MGS2 and the first game. How exactly this will be done is unknown, though it seems... Read more...

Finally, a real Xbox comparison.
As if you didn't already know that the XBox is huge. At first we thought that maybe the Xbox/GameCube size-up might actually be showing how small the GameCube was.
