You may think you've signed important petitions in the past few days... but this one tops them all!
In the past week the Nintendo faithful have been taking up the charge to do their part in securing GameCube's deserved place in the next generation. Whether it be valiant attempts to get mature titles made, Square developed titles made, for it to release on time in Australia... by making people's voices heard hopefully Nintendo and other developers will take note!
Ironically enough the one core issue that is most essential to the GameCube's success has apparently been ignored. Here's an excerpt from this new and crucial petition:
We, the people signed below, feel that in order for a game system to be successful and prosper it must have software made for it. While we have seen impressive technical demos of software that could run on the GameCube hardware there have, to this date, been no official screen shots or final details on games in actual development. The intention of this petition is thus to demonstrate that there is an audience of gamers that are interested in next-generation software coming to GameCube
While we here at Planet GameCube have been concerned that posting URLs to some of these causes could trigger a flood of additional petitions to be created... we now find ourselves siding with our fellow sites in covering them, at least in this vital cause (what can we say, this is what passes for news apparently when things get slow before E3).
Take heed, if we don't let Nintendo know right now that we want games for GameCube we could end up only seeing more technical demos at E3. If we make our voices heard in great enough numbers though, we could get several playable titles maybe... it isn't too late!
