Nazo Waku Yakata makes use of 3DS graphics and sound.
Capcom announced a new 3DS title, called Nazo Waku Yakata, which is
a "sound adventure" game that doesn't use buttons, according to
Famitsu.
It takes place in a mansion that players must explore using the
touch screen, gyroscope, and microphone. The goal is to progress through
each room, which could take anywhere from three to eight minutes to complete.

Japan will get to play Capcom's next 3DS game this summer.
Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is coming to Japan on June 2, according to Famitsu.
The title will contain all the Mercenaries maps from Resident Evil 4

Namco Bandai's One Piece Unlimited Cruise Special for the 3DS has been delayed in Japan.
Originally set to be released on April 7, the game has been pushed back to an undefined date. The developer states that "various circumstances" have caused the delay of the title.

The latest issue of Famitsu confirms the grim details. UPDATED
UPDATE: A Konami spokesperson has told Wired.com that the status of upcoming Hudson titles has yet to be decided, and to wait for an official announcement. It seems that Famitsu had removed the game listings pending re-announcement from Konami, but did not explicitly confirm cancellations. This announcement is expected to come in time for E3 in June.

A sequel to the classic NES title will be appearing on an unspecified home console.
A sequel to the NES game River City Ransom has been announced to be released sometime in 2012 on the PC and an unspecified home console.
Miracle Kidz, who are also working on the recently announced WiiWare remake of Super Dodgeball, announced that members of the original development team will also be working in this new re-imagining of the series.

Nintendo has delayed the launch of the online service that integrates with Black and White due to power consumption concerns.
Nintendo has announced the delay of the upcoming Pokémon Global Link service in response to the earthquake that struck Japan two weeks ago. A statement on the Global Link's website attributed the delay to "the need to conserve energy resources."

Players will have to wait a bit longer before getting their hands on a new Megaman Legends demo.
Capcom announced today that their previously scheduled Nintendo 3DS event that was scheduled for March 29 in Japan has been canceled. Capcom stated the reason for cancelation was the earthquake that took place on March 11 as well as “the state of society” currently.The event would have featured playable demos of Megaman Legends 3, resident Evil Mercenaries 3D, and Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition.

In the very early morning on the European Nintendo 3DS launch day, a free 3DS game is on offer to the first to buy the handheld at either HMV Oxford Street, the flagship store for the UK launch, or at one of 13 additional 'VIP' launch stores. Additionally, there are over 1,300 stores confirmed to be opening at midnight on the night of March 24 for console sales starting from 00:01 on March 25.

Walmart is offering store credit on older handhelds, redeemable against the 3DS.
For the first time, Walmart will offer store credit for all versions of Nintendo DS consoles, redeemable against a purchase of a 3DS at launch. Older consoles will be accepted at various trade-in values for credit towards a 3DS at participating stores.
The "Take-Back and Trade-Up" is set to run as a trial from March 27 to April 30 in 12 states. The store credit values for each console are as follows:

Nintendo takes players to the wrestling ring then into the depths of the sea in this week's selection of games.
This week, Nintendo brings five new games across their download services. The first of these is a Virtual Console title, Natsume Championship Wrestling, originally for the Super NES. Priced at 800 Wii Points ($8), Championship Wrestling is a wrestling game for up to four players. They can choose from 12 different wrestlers and participate in tag team and round robin matches.

Improvements come to Call of Duty: Black Ops on the Wii through the latest online patch.
Call of Duty: Black Ops owners on the Wii will be able to download an online patch that fixes small bugs found throughout the online multiplayer in the game. Some of the adjustments included in the patch, which was released on March 15, fix leaderboard issues, improve the matchmaking service, and make various adjustments to weapons and attacks to match the functionality of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game.

The 3DS game cases show off a little bit more on their spine label than most game systems.
Nintendo seems to be giving gamers a little bit more with the 3DS even when its games are on the shelf.
Each 3DS game case's spine label has a small icon - used on the system's main menu to represent the game - alongside the usual game title and system name information.
For example, Madden NFL Football's spine features an up-close look at a football, while Pilotwings Resort's features a plane on a blue background.

The new Californian branch is about more than just localization.
Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino has said that new, English-specific software will be developed at their North American branch.
Last year, Level-5 opened up a North American branch in Santa Monica, California, with plans of using the new office for localization of its Japanese titles. It has recently been revealed, however, that CEO Akihiro Hino has his sights on something much bigger.

It conveys 3D without fancy screens.
An advertisement for Nintendo 3DS at an Australian EB Games features a mock-up Nintendo 3DS display, with a picture of Mario placed further back than the surrounding image. This gives off a perception of depth which helps to illustrate what the 3DS is all about.
Displays like this will undoubtedly be used around the world in similar places.

The natural disasters in Japan have not impacted Western launch deliveries of the new handheld.

3DS game titles from other publishers include a points code for Club Nintendo Europe.
Nintendo 3DS games from publishers such as Ubisoft now include a card with a code for Club Nintendo Europe points. Previously, codes were only included with Nintendo published titles. The points can be redeemed for limited edition items on the Club Nintendo official rewards website.
