3DS pouches and a golden surprise.
Nintendo Australia has once again updated the Club Nintendo reward catalogue.
This time, the new items include a golden nunchuk for the Wii, Mario and Luigi Nintendo 3DS pouches, styled like their respective hats, and ten random AR cards for Kid Icarus: Uprising.
The nunchuk is priced at 3000 stars, the Mario pouches are 1300 and the AR cards are set at 200.

Beamdog's Trent Oster explains the problems he encountered when bringing MDK2 to WiiWare and voices concern about Wii U.
Beamdog's Trent Oster has not been shy about discussing the problems the company had with bringing MDK2 to WiiWare. NWR recently reached out to Mr. Oster to learn more about his experience with WiiWare and also to seek out his perspective on the Wii U. Below is his response:

The MDK2 developer clarifies their stance on future Nintendo projects with a resounding "No".
Beamdog, developer of the WiiWare port of MDK2, will not be developing any future projects for Nintendo platforms. The news comes via Beamdog Business Developer Director Trent Oster who announced on Twitter: "We don't do Nintendo development. Our previous experience with Nintendo was enough to ensure there will not be another."

The E3 2011 demo will be a full-fledged game that will be officially revealed at E3 2012.

Our tiny friends may have skipped a generation, but now we know for sure they are coming back.
Pikmin for Wii U will be at E3 this year, according to both Shigeru Miyamoto and a Nintendo representative.
Earlier today we reported that Nintendo will be revealing a new Wii U Mario game at E3 this year. In an interview with the Spanish journal El Mundo, Miyamoto explained that the next Pikmin game will be at E3.

There is no official word on whether this has anything to do with New Super Mario Bros. Mii.
A new Super Mario game will be announced at this year's E3, as reported by Spanish newspaper El Mundo and later confirmed by Nintendo.
While interviewing Shigeru Miyamoto while he was in Paris promoting a 3DS Louvre tour guide, El Mundo was told that at E3 2012, "Nintendo will present a new Super Mario for this platform, in which you will combine the TV screen with the screen in the controller."

It should be getting a demo on the eShop soon, followed by a full release in late May or early June.
UPDATE: Order Up is coming out on eShop in late May/early June, according to publisher Ignition.
Order Up, originally planned for an early 2012 retail launch in North America, is coming to eShop on 3DS, according to developer Supervillain Studios. The game, which is completely finished, will also get a demo before its release.

Celebrating the release of Mario Party 9, Mario and Luigi showed up to some special parties.
Mario and Luigi visited the parties at homes of select winners in celebration of the release of Mario Party 9.
Beginning as a Twitter Question using the hashtag #1UPMyParty, Nintendo asked “Why should Mario and Luigi crash your party?” Nintendo then selected several winners who got a visit from Mario and Luigi. Not only were they visited by the Nintendo icons, but each winner received a special prize package.
