Well, not an official one.
A rumor for a Luigi 2DS we reported on earlier this week has been debunked.
The rumored 2DS in question was actually made by Matthew Wiggins. He made it for his website Rose Colored Gaming, where he customizes and sells modified game systems and accessories, mainly for Nintendo handhelds. The news that it was only a custom came from the YouTube video from Wes De of Second Opinion Games.

Gotta patch 'em all!
An update for Pokémon X and Y is now live on the eShop. The patch, version 1.1, should fix the glitch some players received when trying to save in Lumiose City and prevents an error when using the GTS.

Five different colors will be available. Don't make me choose!
Five different colored 3DS XL Charging Cradles will be offered as North American Club Nintendo rewards starting on October 31. Each one will cost 500 Coins and all will be available in limited quantities.
The Charging Cradles will be offered in Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, and White.

North Americans, and possibly Europeans, will need to go to retail stores to get their parties started.
Wii Party U will not be available on the Wii U eShop when it releases on October 25, as confirmed by a Nintendo of Canada representative. The $50 retail bundle, which includes a Wii Remote Plus, will be the only way to get the game, at least for the forseeable future.

Admission to the Nintendo dream park just got a little cheaper.
Nintendo Land is receiving a price drop to $29.99, $30 less than its current suggested retail price of $59.99
This price drop takes effect November 1, the same day as the release of the new Wii U Deluxe Set New Super Mario Bros. U bundle, which no longer includes Nintendo Land. The new price is for both retail and digital copies.

Nintendo Land gets the boot in favor of a New Super Mario Bros. U bundle.
A new Wii U Deluxe Set bundle packaged with New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U is releasing on November 1.
This bundle, replacing the current Nintendo Land Deluxe Set , includes both Wii U New Super Mario Bros. games on one disc. Like the current Nintendo Land bundle, it will also include the Deluxe Digital Promotion which gives owners a $5 eShop code for every 500 points earned, or $50 spent on the Wii U eShop.

Pre-ordering A Link Between Worlds is worth your while, Aussies!
The musical treasure chest previously announced as a pack-in for A Link Between Worlds is set to be available for Australian Zelda fans as well.

The console that changed the industry has ceased production.
Production of the Wii has ended in Japan according to the official Japanese Nintendo site.
It's been over six years, close to seven, since the Wii was released in Japan and almost a full year since the release of the Wii U, and now production of the Wii has finally stopped. Nintendo's official Japanese website Wii page now says "production ceased."

Nintendo confirmed that it will support more titles with cross-platform functionality, according to VG247.
After verifying that the upcoming game Pure Chess will be cross-platform compatible, contingent upon Sony’s agreement, Nintendo went on to reveal that other titles will share this feature.

A fix is on the way, but for now, players are advised to check Nintendo's guide to bypass this glitch.
Nintendo has acknowledged that there is a save data corruption bug in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y and is currently preparing a solution for it.
Many reports have appeared online since the game's worldwide launch on October 12 from players who were experiencing issues upon loading their file after saving their progress in Lumiose City. The glitch will cause the game to not respond to any control input once it has been reloaded.

Some heavy hitters from the Wii's hey-day will now be cheaper to purchase.
A selection of older Wii titles will be re-branded and reduced in price in Australia and New Zealand from November 7.
The games that will be included are, Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy and Wii Sports + Wii Sports Resort (2 games on 1 disc).
