Not sure if you guys knew this or not but IGN Weekly episode 23 has footage of someone playing BWII, it is pretty impressive how smoothly it controls along with showing how fun the game is! There is also footage of him playing Red Steel and Mario Strikers as well.

Might as well bump this with the game coming right around the corner. Personally I now CANNOT wait. Why you ask? Well you can't beat 2 vs 2 (or 1 I guess) co-op online with someone physically by your side going against someone else online. Also like Bill said, co-op single player? Heck yeah. It is too bad that this game will more than likely get lost in the shuffle because it looks amazing (the visuals from what I hear are top notch with ALOT going on).

With Brawl pushed to next year this game is now in my top 3 most anticipated for the rest of the year, and top 2 that's on a console I actually own. I was planning on buying the original, but once this was announced I decided to wait for it, the same way I did for Strikers, which was announced at the same time. I'm gonna have to play the hell out of it for those first couple weeks, though, because I don't think I'll be able to pry myself from Galaxy when that comes out.

So much for spring 2007 huh?

Can anyone find confirmation for co-op for single-player levels? I only read about co-op versus online, and if that's all there is co-op wise, I definitely need to tell me bro not to buy the game.

You must be insane even if it didn't have co-op single player the game will still rock. There could be a chance I am mistaken about the single player campaign co-op, wish I could find where I read that.

According to the October Nintendo Power there are 3 online modes, with two of them being competitive and one of them being two people teaming up against a CPU enemy. It doesn't specify whether or not that means the campaign is co-op. The way it's worded and the lack of mentioning the campaign in the Wi-Fi section leads me to believe it's not. Hopefully if we aren't getting the campaign co-op there will be some special scenarios specifically made for co-op, but I'm not holding my breath...

EDIT: IGN's preview indicates that there are actual missions in multiplayer.

This game looks like it will run circles around BW1. I think Kairon just hates me and doesn't want to play with me online.

I'd have to tell my younger bro not to buy this if it's not co-op vs. computer because that's what we were planning to do. co-op versus only would change our plans.

And the hands says "D, stop looking at me like that".

Even though I haven't played any Wii game in a month or so, I still have to beat MP3 and many other games, I am sure that I will make some time to play this game online with some of you.

I am really looking forward to this game. Too bad it's not getting 1% of the hype Brawl is getting. I'm almost more excited about this game than Galaxy. /sacrilege

In fact, if they add voice chat (which I'm doubtful of) and online co-op through the campaign mode (also doubtful), I would buy this over Galaxy, and I am not even kidding. (I have no idea why, but I just can't get excited about that game ) Heck, I might still buy it over Galaxy. I loved the first one, and can't wait to see how much better it controls with the 'mote/chuck combo.

P.S. – Congrats on buying a house, Ceric! Hopefully I'll be joining you in the realm of home-ownership in a year or two. (cross fingers)

If only.  I'm going to have to convince them to pay the closing cost and take a little off.

I will finish the first Battalion Wars once I find it from my earlier move...
