time spent online can't be right. This version of these forums started in 2003. If i spent 2 hours a day for about 200 days out of the year for 6 years that would mean i spent roughly 100 days online, my stats say i only spent 4 days online. In the last month i know I've done about half that at probably 2.3 days

Comparing Blur-Ray and DVD is like comparing the PS2 to the PS3. Hasn't PS2 sales been a steady thing even through most of last year? They are different generations and we are in a transitional period between DVD and BD.Blu-ray is just a DVD with HD isn't it? It's more like comparing the PS2 with the PS2Slim. I doubt Blu-ray will overtake DVD, it costs too much for too little benefit. They will co-exist until a real next-generation format is released, which will probably be the size of an SD card or something.

Birdo doesn't "talk". You've heard his "voice" haven't you? It sounds like a toy-horn of some kind... and now you know why.
That also does raise some questions over how Birdo eats though. I guess his face-hole is a sort of all-in-one type of thing?

I don't really like that show though, it is too preachy.
The whole series, though I haven't seen all that many really. The few ones I saw where they don't try to beat you over the head with a lesson can sometimes be clever, but that's it. Some episodes are also really random and stupid.

I remember the FPS South Park game. A friend of mine had it. You could make 'yellow snow balls'. I remember it had a To-Rock and Gold-Eye control scheme that matched each of those prominent games control methods. I also remember always beating him at it since I was so good at Goldeneye. He though getting a different game would change things. Silly boy.

Not even 6 gigs! Yikes! I couldn't live with that at all. Too many podcasts, songs, videos and then I already can only have 2-3 games on at one time.It could be worse, I believe the very first laptop weighed over twenty pounds. Just be glad you don't have to lug around one of those.

I mean sure, from Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga we know that Birdo is on a quest to be a superstar, but there's no indication that he wants to steal the spotlight from every other Nintendo character. Comparing him to that ugly man Wario is an insult. In Captain Rainbow his wish is to be popular with the boys, so it seems that may be higher on his list than superstardom.

In Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Super Sluggers, Birdo can suck in the baseball to catch an otherwise out-of-reach baseball. His pitching special also involves sucking the pitch back toward the mound, then blowing it back toward the plate. In Mario Party 7 his special item allows him to suck up character spaces.

Let's not forget, they made that Tingle game (and are working on a sequel.) It didn't hit North American shores, but it was still created. Birdo has a possibility, and with a game like that, he'd have a chance, too.It has a small possibility for Japan I guess but not elsewhere. If it's created and doesn't come to North America then that's even worse. It would be like Mother 3 all over again. It's also likely to be released through means I don't like (WiiWare) or on a system I don't have (DS). Plus, if the game touched on Birdo being transgendered (and it likely would) then that gives it NO chance of being released in North America.

Which means not to expect me around until I manage something else to work with or repair it, could be about a week at the most, I think. So for college I'm getting a single room for my dorm, and they told me that it still have both beds and desks in it, so I planned around that. Four days until I move in, and today I learn that that isn't in fact true, just one of each. I probably would have preferred that, but I also would have preferred to have a little more warning so I could plan. Good thing I got an exception to the rules so that I can have an air conditioner, because I only learned this because we dropped that off.
I'll give you 3 hints.
1. he's in college, which means lots of cute & drunk girls.

It's always fun to get one. I like dumping as much stuff on the HDD and seeing how long it takes me to fill it up. But ripping all of my CD collection takes time.It isn't fun. I hate computers. Now that I've finally gotten the sound working on my "new" computer, I can use my video editing software with it. Today is the first time I've done so, and it's amazing how much faster the conversion process goes. Depending on the quality of the source video and the compression type used, it used to take anywhere from five to eight times longer than the length of the video, so a seven-minute video could take up to an hour. Now, it takes no longer than twice as long as the video length.
And this faster process also means the video is less likely to become choppy or have de-synced audio, meaning I can be more ambitious with my projects. Yay!

I made the mistake of leaving my iPod at home when I went to the gym today. I've never heard so much auto-tune in my life. :(
That's one of my favorite things about having an iPhone: I'm never without my iPod.
All I know is back before I had the iPhone I didn't always take my iPod with me, but now that my phone is my iPod I never go anywhere without it. It's not really iPhone-specific; it applies to any phone that's a sufficiently good music player (if I remember correctly you have a G1, which would do nicely), and, as you point out, having Pandora on there (and I also occasionally use last.fm) makes it even better. My left front pocket is tight enough as it is holding my phone, my DS, and a pair of headphones; I don't think I'd have room to carry around a separate music player.
The one thing I miss about my old iPod was that it had the capacity to let me carry around every single episode of The Simpsons and Futurama and most of my favorite movies. It'll still be a couple more generations before they can fit that much space in an iPhone, but I'm optimistic that the new model for this year, which I intend to buy, will have 64 gigs, which should let me get a good chunk of that stuff on there.

I just bought the 64gb iTouch for my gf for our anniversay. She still has the 120gb iPod "classic" i gave her for christmas a few years ago but i figured she'd enjoy this because she seems to love her touch screen phone and downloading various apps. She also starting getting more movies now than she ever did for her original ipod, so she may end up using the Classic for music and the Touch for everything else. I thought about getting one myself (since i got it "discounted"...) but i don't wanna feel restrained by 64gbs ;)

LOL, I think she was referring to me. We used to play at a minimum once a week but now I'm usually too tired to play after work.
It was rather depressing. I was all trying to resist looking in it because I thought it would be disrespectful or something but then said 'heck with it' and found out there was very little exciting about it. The best I got was the people to blacklist for poor GOTY nominations ;)

3-23 had the highest post count at 500. The second closest was 342 posts on the 4th. No contest.
3-3 had the most people online at 117. More people were on overall in the first week of the month with at least 100 and none of the latter days broke that many online users.
3-17 had the most new topics started with 8.
Predictions
Unless Maxi gets banned, dies or kills his computer he will be in the top 10 posters next month. For a bit I thought Ian would make it to 10k before that happened but it's become obvious it won't.
I'm predicting that Pro will pass KDR's post count before they hit 20k and it will happen before E3 ends.

Besides, next year we have the launch of the 3DS and most likely the unveiling of the Wii2 in some form so speculation, excitement and activity will be skyrocketing. Post counts by our active members will logically go up.
I'm actually surprised that Kytim is as low as he is (1400). I thought he would be higher by now. He's one to watch. Remember, Maxi did it in a short time and you and I have come close in a similar amount of time.
