Super Smash Bros. Brawl gets pushed down by Beautiful Writing and Japanese gangsters.
This week shows yet again how strong the casual market is in Japan. Nintendo’s own calligraphy and Chinese character training game stormed right to the top, just ahead of the new PlayStation 3 Yakuza title.
Wii Fit also continued to impress, heading slowly but surely towards the two million mark. Meanwhile, Wii Sports continues its phenomenal sales, which could make it seem like a system pack-in, despite it not being so in Japan.
Metroid Prime 3, which made a bold entry at No. 5 last week, slipped to No. 11 this week. Even Everyone's General Knowledge Training TV slid way down to No. 14, despite it being predicted to be another big seller with the casual/family market.
