The site includes a gameplay video from the beginning of the game, so those wary of spoilers will want to avoid this!

The official Japanese site for Super Mario Galaxy launched this week. It includes a brand new trailer, as well as several other pieces of info and the promise of releasing more details over time.

The trailer can be seen by picking the second yellow button in the menu at the bottom. It shows some gameplay as well as an introduction to the main story. That story appears to be extremely traditional in the beginning, as it features airships with Bowser flags and the classic airship music from Super Mario Bros. 3. However, the addition of a hovering U.F.O. at the end really ties in the spatial theme of the game. Mario then begins the hear Peach screaming for help and he runs through the Mushroom Kingdom to her aid. Just as he arrives, the entire castle (with Peach inside) is taken by the U.F.O. and Magikoopa attacks Mario, sending him into space.

The rest of the site features a lot of the official artwork that has already been released, including pictures of Princess Rosetta and the little star buddies. There are also some new screenshots that you can see by clicking the left-most yellow button in the top row of the menu at the bottom of the screen. The third yellow button in the top row of the menu links to some control descriptions of the game. If you click on the button in the menu next to Bee Mario, you will see that there are at least four other costumes besides Bee and Boo that have yet to be revealed.

There are a lot of question marks and locked buttons throughout the site, so those of you looking forward to the game should check back frequently!
