UBISOFT BRINGS MENAGE-A-TROIS TO NINTENDO DS™ LAUNCH PARTY

A Racy, Sexy and Adventure-Filled Threesome Lead the Way

SAN FRANCISCO — November 4, 2004 — Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest videogame publishers, today announced Rayman® DS, Sprung™ and Asphalt Urban GT™ as official launch-window titles in the U.S. for the upcoming release of the Nintendo DS™ system. In fact, Asphalt Urban GT is one of only five launch-day titles arriving on store shelves nationwide on November 23, 2004, at the manufacturers suggested retail price of $29.99.

“We’re thrilled to bring three genre-leading titles to the Nintendo DS that each reach a very different, yet broad, audience,” said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing, Ubisoft. “The Nintendo DS is an innovative and unique portable videogame system. We’re excited to match that level of creativity and provide an all-new experience with our titles, especially Sprung.”

Asphalt Urban GT flies onto the Nintendo DS on four very fast wheels, combining the virtues of both simulation and arcade racing. Players will hit the streets in a wide range of licensed high-performance cars, including Lamborghini, Jaguar, Hummer and more, on tracks from around the world.

Sprung creates an entirely new genre for portable gaming by putting players in the middle of an engaging, risqué and daring adventure with sexy singles at a hip ski resort. The dating simulation, or “stimulation,” title features gender-specific adventures, entertaining dating missions and a hilarious script written by North Shore (FOX) writer Colleen McGuiness.

Rayman®, one of the most recognizable videogame characters around the world, arrives for the first time in full 3D glory on a handheld as he battles to defeat the pirate terror that has enslaved his world. Rayman DS is poised to repeat the successful performance of its predecessor, Rayman® Advance, which was among the top-ten selling launch titles for the Game Boy® Advance system in 2001.

UbiSoft games that don't revolve around saving the President's dog with a crack team of elite Hitler hunters who fail missions if one innocent person you don't see in the entire level dies because you didn't open the door with enough 1337 Tom Clancy bore-a-thon power? Unpossible.

Rayman DS will be HOT. I hope Rayman is one of the characters you can win over at the ski resort in Sprung.

Lieberman is Jewish, if I'm not mistaken. Don't try and pin this on any one religion, mmmkay?

I'm sure atheist mothers are part of the game-banning movement too.

Regardless, back on topic. I wonder how well Sprung will do in reviews... heh.

I actually would think Ubisoft will embrace the idea of putting Splinter Cell or Rainbow Six on the DS, it's probably just not something that they were able to do for launch.
