Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin is a 2D adventure game, which gives the player control of two different characters, Jonathan Morris and Charlotte Orlean. They both appear on screen all the time, and you can switch between them at will or even use team-up special moves.

The heroes must destroy a plan to resurrect Dracula's Castle. The game takes place in a World War II setting, with locations such as towns and Egyptian tombs -- definitely not the same old castle. The game also features new locations and a cast of over 100 different adversaries.
