You can go to hell.

Sadly, Cartoon Network does not show the Acme Hour anymore. They DO still show Toon Heads, the Chuck Jones Show, and Bugs and Daffy, though. Unfortunately, they also don't show the Tex Avery Show or the Bob Clampett show.

On the subject of DVD's, while I'm loving the Golden Collection right now, I hope Warner Bros. has some sort of plan for releasing all the shorts, perhaps year by year. I don't want a bunch of stupid collections that have crossovers, like they're doing with the Batman animated series.

I don't think Warner Bros will be giving Looney Toons a complete collection on DVD any time soon just like they won't for Batman (which REALLY deserves it in my opinion).  Why?  Because both of them are cartoons and thus in the eyes of executive big wigs they're for kids and thus deserve kid friendly sets.  Kid friendly of course means "kids are stupid so we'll rip them off".  So we get single disc sets of Batman and Spiderman cartoons that have like four episodes on them (like we used to get on VHS back in the day) and that's probably all we'll get unless Warner feels they can make more money releasing the whole sets.  This is just something I've noticed for a lot of DVDs that target kids.  Warner Bros isn't the only offender but they're one of the worst.

The Golden Collection looks awesome but I'm reluctant to buy it in fear that next year they'll release the Platinum Collection which has all of the Golden shorts plus more.  Buying DVDs is like a gamble with all of the double dipping companies do.

The Golden Collection clearly shows that Warner Bros. is treating at least Loony Tunes as much more than just a little kid's toy- it is VERY well done. I just want maybe a year by year release of all of the Loony Tunes. Disney would be wise to do something very similar, especially considering how well their cartoons have (or rather haven't) been doing.

The Batman animated series, in my eyes, is one of the greatest action shows to date, cartoon or not. Not only was it very accurate to the comics (much more accurate than any of the movies), it really captured the atmosphere and mood of Batman, and I really liked that. Besides, Mark Hamill does the greatest Joker ever. I'd really also like them to release the Superman animated series on DVD, since I liked it almost as much as Batman.

One cartoon character who gets no respect is Zoidberg.
He only gets a few lines each episode, and I always laugh at anything he says. I saw an episode which he was the main character (he eats the world flag or something, chaos follows, etc) and that was probably my favourite.
If they made a movie about a cartoon character, they should do it on him.
Homer's been done to death (but I'll keep laughing) and its a shame that Futurama isn't continuing.

HOORAY FOR ZOIDBERG! WOOP WOOP WOOP!

Zoidberg is okay but I'm more partial to the professor on the Simpsons who when asked by Kent Brockman if it's time for the viewers to crack each others heads open and feast on the goo inside responded with "Yes I would Kent."  What ever happened to that guy?  Such potential, WASTED away like moldy fruit.
