Ah- I hate Ren Stimpy with a passion, though, as well as Beavis and Butthead, I just thought that was interesting.

this is one of your posts that start an argument! doh...were nto gonna discuss whetehr you like ren and stimpy or not...and no one is gonna discuss whether they like it or not...were just going to leave it as a popular series staring billy west...personally i love ren and stimpy but that is beside the point

There would be nothing to argue about- Ren and Stimpy is just one of those shows that you either like or you don't. It only appeals to a certain group of people, which isn't me. I'm not a huge fan of gross out humor because I don't think it's anywhere near as creative as situational or dialog comedy. Just my thoughts.

I think I just have a true appreciation for creativity.  Due to the fact that I'm constantly thinking about things and making things myself, I can tell when something someone else made took a great deal of time, effort, and/or genius.  Invader Zim is hilarious, and has tons of subtle humor.  Angry Beavers, too, has some good stuff.  Looney Tunes has some, but its humor is more outright.  It's amazing how much an appreciation of what the creators did to make the show can make you like it. . . I mean, I'd like them either way, but knowing what they went through to think of it sometimes amazes me, and I like it all the more.

Family Guy is a funny show, too.  I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it yet, but it's got some good subtle humor, too, and whoever makes it is really good.

Again, just my opinion, but I think Invader Zim is much funnier than Ren and Stimpy.

the whole reason i liked invader zim was the twistedness of it all reminded me of ren and stimpy....anyways Invader Zim is awesome!!!! Too bad it follows along the lines of Ren and Stimpy of being to good of a show and not crappy enough for Nickelodean. I will miss Zim. Then again if Ren and Stimpy can come back so can Family Guy and Zim.

it was actually funny the first time i watched zim..it was the first episode...and i was like wtf is on nick right now...i wonder...i havn't watched nick in years since they took off R&S....(i would flip the channel to see if they had any new shows on..but everything sucked(cept real monsters and angry beavers...nowadays its crap like hey arnold and rugrats)and then i flipped the channel and i was like yes!!!!! The show was twisted and awesome...i loved it. finally Nick had something good on again. Damned Nick for cancelling it.

Well, Family Guy is coming back, sort of. Tod McFarlane is making a Family Guy movie plus some brand new episodes that will be released straight to DVD. Cartoon Network wanted to bring back Futurama, but it was too expensive for a cable network to support ($500,000 an episode). Matt Groening does want to make a theatrical movie, though, which will probably happen considering the amount of fans that will see the movie no matter what compared to it's relatively low price when compared to live action movies. Matt said he really wants to do a trilogy, though.

mouse likes to debate, kind of like me.  I never liked Family Guy, just didn't do anything for me.  It's kind of weird that the is consideration for a Futurama movie and it's not on anymore, where The Simpsons have been on like half my life and they don't have a movie, why is that?

As for cartoons, other than the classic's, that I like, are Kim Possible, and Fairly Odd Parents.

Well, The Simpsons was never dropped by a gaggle of idiots before the series had a chance to go anywhere-  a Futurama movie kind of makes up for Fox being a collective ass.

Family guy needs to have a movie devoted to Stewey, there is no charachter EVER created that is better.  Mouse understands why I like him, I'm sure

Hey, whoa, we can't let this get off topic- this is serious stuff here.

Here's a feeble attempt- does anyone have the Loony Tunes Golden Collection DVD? Magnifcent set, if I do say so myself. It has 56 classic Loony Tunes cartoons spread across 4 discs, with soundtracks, commentary, and documentaries for many of them. I urge you all to go out and get it.

Cardboard: Cartoon Network shows a bunch of old Popeye and Loony Tunes every Saturday night starting at 2 AM (pleh).
