It was a dark and stormy (k)night....

Welcome to the city of Gotham! Home of millionaire Bruce Wayne and his youthful ward, Dick Grayson! But what's this? Trouble is brewing at the Arkham Asylum. Batman's greatest foes have broken free and taken over! Looks like Batman's bad habits have finally come to haunt him......

Alerted by the Bat-Signal, Batman and Robin spring into action. Great Scott! What's this? Batman and Robin have been captured in a clever trap by these fiendish finks! With our daring do-gooders detained by these diabolical delinquents, it looks like the only ones able to save Gotham are the true blue men and women of the Gotham City Police Department. But can they survive the 12 floors of Arkham Asylum in order to reach the top and save the dynamic duo? Find out.... in SAFE WORDS 3!

Hello, hello. Thank you and welcome. For the third edition, I thought I'd try something new. I'm going with a Batman theme but this time, there is almost a silver of a story to go with the game. In the latest players vote, the idea of adding new words each round was rejected 2-1. Just as popular was the ability for the winner to ban another person on these forums. Apparently, a lot of you people don't like each other here......

But let's meet this game's contestants! (Or should I say GCPD members going by the story.)

Ha ha ha ha ha. I love that joke! It never gets old!

In order to determine the selection order for this game, I decided to rank the players based on the Scrabble score of their usernames from lowest to highest. In the case of a tie score, it was then broken by the username's first letter. In Scrabble, to begin, players choose a letter and the closest to A starts so likewise the first letter of the username closest to A was slotted ahead to break the tie. Fun! I've always thought about blowing someone up if they choose the same word as someone else but keeping track of what words are left to choose isn't that hard to do so I have listened to the requests of the good detective Kitch and will let players know what is left to still choose from. You'll notice that despite Insanolord complaining about how I hadn't done this, he didn't step up and post a list of remaining words because he doesn't want to actually work to help the community. Just complain about everyone. Now if Maxi was still here, he'd be posting a list of remaining words for players even if he was killed off. Maxi understood community spirit. (And how to spam posts to inflate his post count.)

That's the best you got? It just means I'll live longer than you by travelling at the speed of light while you age and die giving me plenty of years to dance on your grave and/or desecrate it. The aliens returned their other abductees. I expect to return as well so I'll take that option also.
