I'm reading the Balance Board manual (because I have that kind of time) and it says something that contradicts what I've read in the past. "Up to a total of 10 Wii remotes and accessories can be synchronized to a console at any time". I may be mistaken, but weren't we told before that it was 7?

Update: It turns out I really am fatter than it said before.  The carpet was interfering with the measurement, so I had to put the little extra foot things on.  Now I know the unpleasant truth.

That may be it, maybe everyone just assumed that since Wii remotes are compatible with bluetooth they have a limit of 7 connections.

The Balance board is bluetooth also I'm sure.  The manual could be inaccurate. But lets wait for someone else's input.

That would be a really weird thing for the manual to be wrong about, and an unlikely typo. I've connected Wii remotes to my computer via bluetooth, so I know they're bluetooth, but if Nintendo wanted to make a special modification to the bluetooth equipment in the Wii they could probably increase the limit of possible connections to the Wii while having the equipment in the remotes and other devices remain standard.

I'm guessing, but it sounds like the limit for BlueTooth Devices in use could be seven, but the number of devices saved in the Wii's memory could be 10.

Yeah the balance boards syncs just like wiimote so it is Bluetooth.

I've given it a shot here, and so far I'm liking it! It's really odd, it doesn't even feel like a video game anymore, holding a motion sensing remote in your hand and a sensor on your feet is a very futuristic feeling thing. Miyamoto's mind is just on a whole different level from other game developers. Wii Goggles in 2009?

Trying out the various exercises I seem to be best at at Yoga and Aerobic, and suck at Strength training and Balance games. The opposite of what I expected. I can't believe I'm enjoying this dirty hippie yoga

I hadn't thought of that, that makes perfect sense. I should probably stop going through the manual with a fine toothed comb and actually play the "game".

Wii Fit will kick your ass. According to the game I'm overweight - BMI 25 is the limit for normal, and I'm 25.06, oh well. I scored 100% on the planks on the first time, and my homosexual trainer (not that there's anything wrong with that) keeps telling me how strong I am. The yoga is pretty cool...in fact, I can't see why this game is averaging around 8.0 in the reviews, I'd give it at least a 9 based on my first go around. Gamespot's 7.0 is a joke.

By the way - I probably got the last Wii in all of Brevard County. If you can't find it, your best chance is Blockbuster. I read about it on Gamefaqs, called one about 8 miles away (the closer ones were all sold out, as was Best Buy, Circuit City, every Wal-Mart, both Targets, Sears, etc.), and they'd held the last one for me...I probably should have mentioned this earlier.

I spend way too much time at my GameStop. I realized that when I went in to pick up my Wii Fit preorder and the guy behind the counter didn't even ask my name, he just went and got it.

Didn't Wii fit launch with 1,000,000 units in NA? That could explain why they are taking awhile to sell out.

These people losing weight with the Wiifit. I was once sick for four days and ate nothing. I gained three pounds. True story.

Hmm, when I got my four wisdom teeth removed I obviously couldn't eat anything, but your body has this wonderful way of keeping you completely satisfied if you aren't able to eat - I didn't feel hungry at all for a good three days.

I can't remember if I lost weight though.

I'm from Oklahoma, so it's against the law for me to buy WiiFit.  The state constitution clearly prohibits citizens from practicing yoga in any form.

Found a copy this morning.  For some reason one loan BJs didn't put their allotment on sale until today.

And yeah, whoever thinks it isn't selling out is crazy... There are absolutely NO stores in my area (with the exception of BJs) that still have a copy.

Ditto down here in the more southern part of the state. I tried 2 bestbuys, 2 sears, 2 circuit citys, 4 gamestops, 1 walmart and 1 target (which are right cross the street from eachother....) 1 kmart (sadly nowhere near the walmart or target) and 1 FYE. No one had any and this is spanning 2 major cities and 2 smaller towns in my part of NY.

I called the two local gaming and/or electronics stores that are only a few blocks from my house and even though they're the type of stores that over charge you for everything (know a guy that paid $80 for Brawl to get it on day 1), even they were sold out.

I haven't been to any stores since picking the game up. Wal-Mart and Kmart are really the only places that would carry it around here however. On the off chance that it did sell-out, I waited at Wal-Mart until midnight rolled around. Only two other people showed up at that time, so there may or may not be a high demand in my area. It is a fairly expensive product though, and this is a impoverish local.

I went around from store to store the morning it came out, buying one at 6 different stores. Then I sold them on eBay and got about $120 for each one ($30 profit per box). ;)

We got 50 in for the release yesterday at the Target I work at and had them all sold at before 1 p.m., I picked mine up at the other Target in town about 12:30 and they had one left after I picked mine up.

Seems to be going quicker than most people thought it would.
