Not to be outdone by Sega's Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, Midway has some screens of their upcoming game "Cruis'n" for the Wii:

I checked the NWR main page for this and didn't see it so <3

Edit: I would be willing to give it the benefit of the doubt of maybe looking better when it's released but it's release date of Nov. 2007 makes me believe this is a near finished product X_X.

NEO Gaf posters have compared it to everything from the N64 version to the Gamboy version.

Anyone who buys this lovely POS deserves a horrible eye plucking from their head and have salt and lemon juice dripping in the newly emptied socket.

Midway also needs to have their license to publish on Nintendo's machines revoked until they stop using the Wii as a training device for new recruits.

To my knowledge this is a brand new game being made for Wii, so it's being built from the ground up for Wii.

Someone correct me if I am wrong =)

Either some 3rd parties are trying to screw Nintendo, or they're just forcing any excuse to not have to develop for the Wii.

Either way it must have taken a LOT of work to make a game that ugly.

I'll give Crusin' a pass if the team working on this is comprised of 10 people......... but 9 of them must be under the age of 7 and the last one had to have been comatose for the past 12 years.

I liked Cruis'n USA and Cruis'n World. And their graphics were worse than this...

I hope the game keeps the same hilarious crash animations of the original games. Head on collision with a semi and the semi starts flipping all over the road before vanishing into thin air while you spin perfectly on the spot. Man I miss 1996-1999 Midway.

And wow, the game really is only an insignificant upgrade in visuals. Now I'm really torn on it. I might rent it.

That's the arcade version of Cruisin' USA. The N64 port is far uglier. Far, far, far uglier.

Still, Cruisin' Wii has the worst jaggies I've seen in years. I can't believe they'd release those shots. The odd resolution makes me wonder if someone badly enlarged them.
