For me a megaton would be something that was COMPLETELY unexpected, something that not even the most imaginative fanboy would ever dream of, whether it be a character or a game mode. For me since I am following Sakurai's list closely as well as fan requests some characters would not surprise me at all. Hell, if Ouendan/EBA were announced tonight I would be very happy but not all that surprised since they appeared on both lists.

As for Sora and Cloud as much as I love Sora as a character I wouldn't want him to be Square's only representative. Square has a VERY rich history in characters so they have a lot to choose from. Not only that choosing Sora would be ignoring Final Fantasy, a series which saved Square from bankruptcy, has a MAJOR presence on Nintendo consoles and is one of the important franchises in existence. Hell, they even have Dragonquest, which is far more popular than FF in Japan! So why go with a character that while popular lacks the legacy many other characters have?

And Cloud...f%ck Cloud. He's an overhyped character that only yaoi fan fiction writing, emo boy kissing other boys loving FFVII fanbitches like. FFVII might have been popular but it shouldn't be a representative for the WHOLE series, especially since there were fans before FFVII. Hell, Cloud would piss the hell out of me.

Here is a list of characters that should be Square's representatives in Brawl:
- Chocobo
- Moogle
- Slime (DQ)
- The FF classes (White Mage, Black Mage, Ninja, Red Mage and Thief)

So to sum it up...
- For an update to surprise me and make me cry "MEGATOOOOOOOOOOOON!" it would have to be something that no one expected nor Sakurai suggested.

- Sora nor Cloud shouldn't be in the game as Square's sole representatives since they many much more iconic characters to choose from.

I would never cry the word "Megaton" in any context, but I'd be pretty happy if one of the FF1 characters was in. And if they did include Phoenix Wright, which is doubtful, he'd make a much better AT then playable. Fast Objection Action!

I still don't understand all the Cloud hate. A friend of mine jokingly said he'd boycott the game if Cloud made it in. Including Cloud would only be good for the game. And for the last time, the rationale for Snake being in is that his first appearances were in NES games, and Sonic has spent the last five years being in the Advance/Rush series, along with the Cube ports and Secret Rings. Cloud being a minor character in one GBA game is not enough of a rationale, not to mention he's already been overexposed about a billion and a half times more then was neccessary.

Wanting more from a game doesn't make one ungrateful.

Snake being included in Brawl should be the biggest insult to anyone who's complaining about Cloud, a character who isn't even in the game. I really don't feel like getting into all that again.

I'm not championing Cloud. I already said I'd rather see other characters take the spot first. I just don't understand the hate. Sakurai and Nintendo included Snake as a favor to Kojima. As far as I'm concerned, Snake was barely eligible. I'm sure if Cloud makes it in, Nintendo will have a damn good reason for it.

If it wasn't for E for All and the conferences this update would've been a big deal since everyone wanted the intros back and this would've been a rock solid confirmation.

I knew that character intros were back, but it hadn't occurred to me that Melee-introduced characters like the Ice Climbers would of course have never-before-seen intros. Did anyone see what Peach's intro looks like?

Hey wait a second, since we recently had daylight savings time here in America doesn't that mean the updates will appearing an hour earlier now.  Since they don't do that in Japan, this means the site will be updated at it's regular Japan Time which is now an hour earlier here in America.
