I'm guessing this is going to be the last Smash for a VERY LONG TIME.

I'm guessing this will be the LAST SMASH BROS GAME EVER.  So I'm glad he's knocking it out of the park.

This Smash Bros. Technology had better proliferate through all other Wii games. Seriously, tons of online, screenshots anywhere, co-op online, video... online... wow...

  4. Is there a possibility of using are own pictures as backgrounds?
  5. Is the music selection strictly whats already in Brawl?
  6. Will there be updates for the issues this will most likely bring up?
  7. Are we stuck with Battle Stages or could we make Break the Target and like?

Those are just a few things I like to know.  I really hate to get a level I truly enjoyed and only be able to use it for one day.

The update says "For music, you'll only be able to choose from the songs you have available."   Though what that means I am not sure.  I kinda sounds vague on purpose.  Like you can have other music but it must be available first.  What do you all think?

Also break the target would be hard to make because the targets could be out of reach but appear to not be.  Does that make sense?

And don't forget the SD card abilities mentioned in today's update. That showed that Nintendo has remembered that they put the SD card reader in the Wii and gives me something to use it with. Hopefully this will lead to more uses and maybe the feature that everyone wants, the ability to play VC games that are stored on the card without loading them back into the system memory.

I'm almost certain that means you can only use the music that you've unlocked so far, by picking up the CDs that appear as items during matches.

Wangland, confirmed!

I had this idea back in SSB64 when I wanted to create "The Box": a square level with a small hole in the top that players can be knocked out of.

This is easily the best feature this game has seen to date. I've always been a fan of level editors and the really cool part is that this will actually be better than Halo 3's level editor.

Yes, thats true but, I'm sure they'll be levels with area's you couldn't get to.  If someone makes an impossible Break the Target then no one will play it.  The Evolution part of Creationism will come into play the level will die out except in niche Ecosystems.  Though I'm wondering if they have debug code that could check to see that at least one character could reach all the targets.  Be some interesting code... Probably take a little bit to run to...

3 things...

1. Did anyone else notice Mario climbing a ladder in this? Classic DK stage confirmed?

2. King Dedede is floating (as we knew he could probably do). A heavy with Kirby's floating powers might be interesting...

3. "You can submit in both the Snapshots mode and the Stage Builder mode, allowing everyone to enjoy the creations of others. The fun of sharing is one of the ways that I wanted to take advantage of Wi-Fi for something other than pure battling."

Sounds like you can submit screenshots as well.

Yeah, I don't think this means mp3 support; just that you can use any Brawl music that you've unlocked so far. Though what's "SNOWMAN", I wonder...

Anyway, I think it's a very cool idea, though since I'm usually too lazy to build levels myself when games have this option, I'll probably just be playing everybody else's. And I think only having the three backgrounds is fine, as Sora doesn't want to created levels to be competing aesthetically with the ones they built themselves, and the excitement's supposed to be coming from the design anyway.

1. I did. Like Bill said, that was shown off months ago on the DK stage, but this officially confirms it. Wonder what type of stages outside Rumble falls and user created levels will have ladder climbing.

2. That was expected. However, considering that he is a heavy his floating abilities will be very limited and fall quickly.

3. That was kinda confirmed on the "snapshot" update. Turns out the blurred pink option was the "submit" option.

I thought at first it was from the Snapshots update, but the "Submit" isn't blurred in that one (anymore?). Was it the one, or has Sakurai used some revisionist theory?

I actually predicted that it'd be a submit button to send pictures to Nintendo.

I guess the tourney folk will be happy making flat stages

I think the tourney players are just going to make a nice box to play in.  That way no one dies and they can all be happy.

Actually, this isn't a bad idea for creating a 999% possibility, just for fun.

I want a box with one small hole just to watch players at 800% damage ricochet around inside it like a ping pong ball in a clothes dryer.
