Nope, North/South American logo for Touch generations is a G, and in Japan/Europe/Australia it's "street sign" style family inside a circle: http://www.touchgenerations.com/

True, I am really only guessing as far as all the world numbers are concerned.

The only problem with Dr. Kawashima is the possible legal issues and ramifications of using his likeness in the game, but they did get Sonic so that might not be as big a hurdle as I think.

BTW I have a feeling that the Cooking Navi music that accompanied the Japanese Kirby Final Smash update will be on this stage, just call it a hunch.

Hooray! The pedophile's #1 tool has been turned into a stage!

Its way too awesome. And here I was worrying about the stage design being dull.

As for Kawashima he was not only on Sakurai's list he was one of the most requested character in the Japanese poll.

The funny thing is, part of me actually thinks he could actually end up a playable character.  Considering a Moai was a playable character in DreamMix TV: World Fighters, a giant head is indeed possible.  Of course Moai was a pretty crappy character in that game, but then again DreamMix TV was a pretty crappy game in the first place.  Since Sakurai and his team are infinitely times more talented they could pull it off right.

Of course I think the biggest problem could be the real Dr. Kawashima not wanting his face used as a character in a fighting game.  The Brain Training games were educational, something I'm sure he was happy to be apart of.  Smash Bros on the other hand is well, not the type of education he'd want people learning.

Plus I think he doesn't want to see his face being FALCON PUNCHED.

I don't see Dr. Kawashima as a playable character - I just want to see his giant, polygonal head floating around, attacking, as some kind of boss.

It won't be pictochat unless someone draws a penis or boobs.  It just won't feel the same.

Actually, I kinda hope that they include with wiggle dance animation you can do with the pictures in the level, because that would be quite cool.

Here's a nice break-down for those still complaining about the stages...

Battlefield - Day/Night System
Delfino Plaza - Transition Stage (Platform drops you off at multiple locations around the Plaza)
Yoshi's Island - Season System + Interactive stage (Fly Guys drop down to steal items, Support Ghost pops up on side)
Lylat Cruise (Star Fox) - Interactive stage (Interactive background + Arwing blasts and asteroid field)
Bridge of Eldin (Twilight Princess) - Interactive stage (King Bulbin runs across the stage on his Bullbo dropping bombs, Bridge gets destroyed/restored, Bulbin minions follow behind him)
Smashville (Animal Crossing) - Real-time Day/Night System + K.K. Slider Concert (8 P.M. on Saturday!)
Rumble Falls (Donkey Kong Jungle Beat) - Scrolling stage (Make your way up the waterfall, then ride a bi-plane!)
Skyworld (Kid Icarus) - Interactive stage (Destructible platforms)
Castle Siege (Fire Emblem) - Transition stage (Passes from Castle Wall -> Throne Room -> Underground Cave) + Interactive stage (Catapulted rocks on Castle Wall)
WarioWare - Transition stage (Passes from mini-game to mini-game) + Interactive stage (Stay Dry! Dodge! Jump!)
Pokémon Stadium 2 - Transition stage (Electric, Ground, Flying, Ice) + Interactive stage (Pokemon interaction + Transition-specific)
Battleship Halberd (Kirby Super Star) - Transition stage (Platform takes you around and onto the ship) + Interactive stage (Double-barreled battery w/ lock-on and arms)
Shadow Moses Island (Metal Gear Solid) - Interactive stage (Destructible walls + Searchlight + Metal Gear Rex/Ray/?)
New Pork City (Mother 3) - Huge-box stage + Interactive stage (Ultimate Chimera)
PictoChat (Nintendo DS) - Transition stage (Sketches out of nowhere!) + Interactive stage (Ridable objects + Fire sketches)
Mario Circuit (Mario Kart) - Interactive stage (Shy Guys on karts)
Norfair (Metroid) - Interactive stage (Lava comes from below, the side, AND from the background; must avoid the background tidal wave by entering capsule)

A truly lovely variety it is...

What I'm curious about is what the heck is the "Pictochat Music"? Unless they end up making a techno remix out of the sound effect when you connect :P

On a side note, I'm personally hoping for some Mario Paint music in there

A Kawashima Assist Trophy has some great potential...Like he could pop up and ask a random math problem, then drop some balloons with random answers attached to them...The person who gets it right is pardoned while the rest of the players feel the wrath of Dr. Kawashima for not training their brains enough! =D

I kept on saying there ought to be a Brain Age stage, though now that PictoChat is in, Brain Age seems unlikely...especially since Brain Age music is used here.

I was imagining a simplified Connect Maze and/or Low To High where you'd have to watch out for a giant stylus, as where it'd draw might be platforms or where it taps might cause massive damage.  But that might be a little too difficult, even simplified, what with all the fighting going on.

So maybe PictoChat is better, though these days I think the DS is known more for Brain Age than PictoChat.  I can't remember the last time I booted up PictoChat...

Anyway, I hope this stage has lots of variety and randomness.  Personally, I didn't like Poké Floats at all.  Though I guess I never understood the concept to begin with (I don't remember seeing Poké Balloons in any game at all), but it seemed dumb to me that it always had to start on a Squirtle head and follow the exact same pattern every time.

(By the way, the "New Item - Kirby Urchin Enemy Thing" you mentioned in the very first post of this thread?  I'm pretty sure it's called "Gordo".)

Well tonights update was nothing more than a Cinema from the Subspace Emissary, which while awesome, is a completely underwhelming update in my opinion.

Aye.  I'd be more enthused about this update if it weren't for the high-resolution copy already on GameTrailers.  At least we get to hear the nice-sounding reinterpretation of that DKC track, though.  Ah, well, not all updates can be awesome.  Or even wholly new, what with E4A.

QFT!!

am i the only one that likes the way they turned DK back into a ferocious beast with this update? It turtle seems like DK has been pigeon held as a “dumb ape” ever since DKC2.. The perfect example is his taunt from Melee. He just comes off like Lenny from Of Mice and Men, maybe its me. I'm just tired of the “happy” looking DK and i'm glad this update wasn't some crappy DK rap music update.

It makes me want a new DKC with just him and Diddy (and maybe Dixie since leaving her out of the 64 game was wrong)!

Agreed. It was great to hear the classic DKC track once again. Although, why are Bowser's minions stealing DK's bananas? Maybe its a ploy to lure DK and Diddy into a subspace trap?

I am wondering, though. Are these cinemas FMVs or in real time? It looks to me like they are FMVs but it would be awesome if they were in real time.

Oh god yes.... yeah, DK hasn't had the best representation past the Donkey Kong Country series. I love the more "King Kong" type feel to the character in the movie. Primitive, but not dumb, and as you said ferocious and imposing.

Wario is part of the Space Emissary, so I wouldn't be surprised if Bowser was as well. And yeah, if I had to guess, I assume they want to capture most of the residents of this place.
