Excellent. The fact that water was so deadly in Melee really annoyed me.

Is it too much to hope that, in addition to this, they've made it so Goldeen does something useful if she winds up in water?

I don't see it mentioned here, but this has to be the coolest "cam" video yet released:

Ike's involves him knocking a player high up, then jumping up after them, performing a series of sword combos (akin to what Link does), and finally pulling his sword back and slamming them back down into the ground...

I'm so glad swimming made it in.

So far, my favorite Final Smash is Ike's. It's like Link's but better.

Awesome... although DK's Smash looks to... well, not be very useful outside of edge guarding. I love Fox's, Link's and Ike's, though.

Does anyone else want to smack the girls who are shouting things like "YOU GO, PLAYER 2!" throughout basically the entire E4All show?

The most annoying thing is that they are in a small, closed space, NOT in an outdoor stadium. That kind of thing becomes annoying very fast. I would've politely complained about it since it IS ruining the experience with the game.

Well, I think this Pictochat stage makes it reasonable for there to be stages that will not have a character.

Maybe you can "draw" a hidden character. That would be kind of neat.

Well, what "DS" character could there be?  I mean, there's nothing, really.  I suppose Dr. Kawashima?  He doesn't count, though, does he?  I suppose if you can have 3rd Parties, you can include giant polygon heads based on real people.  It's just hard to believe he would be included.  Is there any other DS-bound character/person?

That's part of the "My Music" thing. Remember when we found out that every stage would have a few tracks of its own, and by using the slider you can adjust the probability of a certain song being played? Well, the Pictochat stage has those pieces of music.

Like I said it could be a Drawn to Life esque character where you customize the character. I really wouldn't put that past someone who would think of including a pictochat stage.

Also, this is one incredible update. And the best part is that it screams "customisation". I'm willing to bet that you can edit the doodles on the stage beforehand to change the terrain etc. You might even be able to choose certain effects (like fire) while playing around with it.

Hopefully.

EDIT: Wait a second. The chances of this happening are close to nonexistant, BUT...

What if, through connectivity, someone can use a DS while the rest are playing Smash Bros, and draw these doodles in realtime? Wouldn't that be amazing?

I am not saying that both a "drawn to Life"-esque character or a custom stage would not be cool, I just do not know if they would have something that deep in this game, but I have been wrong before.

I still think that there is a character for AC though given the AC world number puts it into the middle of games we know have a character, while the DS's world number is after Sonic's and thus at the known end of the list and possibly in another class of world numbers.

But now that I think about it they did create Mr. Game & Watch as a generic representation from the Game & Watch series so there could be a Mr. DS who is a doodle out of Pictochat... that would be awesome.

Just as I finished typing my reply the idea of DS connectivity along those lines hit me as well, and I too would believe that would be amazing.

You know nothing of world classes stop making it up...Maybe the Dr will make an appreance methinks so given the ds logo and the brain age music...Is the logo for the Touch Gen games the same as the DS logo?
