Yes, I know what he said. I was making a joke regarding the delay of Brawl by changing the words of it (and inadvertently putting the two parts in reverse). You see, I was indicating that the game would be all-time great if they released it on schedule, and suggesting the goal of the delay
was to make the game literally perfect.

I had heard about this trophy, but only that it was Little Mac. Nice to see he's all 3D and not just a pixel man. It's also cool that he does seem to be recognizable.

It is not just Sonic being confirmed that is probably making you feel this way, just think about a few of the other "big" announcements that happened before:

four control methods
ZSS being a transformation of Samus (considering that it sent a good portion of the internet into a hissy fit)
Subspace Emissary
Pokemon Trainer
confirmation of Online
Snake's reunvailing

After all that what more could there be?

I cannot think of anything more gargantuan then those things that I listed, I mean I am trying to to think of something but nothing comes to mind. Maybe voice chat, but that is more like "My Music" in that it is not needed but would be cool. I do not think that Mega Man would be that earth-shattering either because we are kind of expecting him, and really Sonic was on the top of almost everyone's list and with him confirmed any other third party character may kind of seem "meh". A Square-Enix character could cause some controversy bigger than ZSS being a transformation but that would depend on both "if" and "who".

I am with you in the belief that we have seen all the "big stuff", but I do not think any of the lesser stuff is boring, just not as exciting.

Anyone else think that they modeled his 3d movements after Ippo?  Or maybe Ippo was originally designed after Little Mac?  I don't remember a dash movement in the original game and the look of it is exactly like Ippo's dash.

He does look awesome though.  I'm still hoping for a new Wii Punch Out game and this gives me just a teensy bit more hope, especially since the model is in 3d.

I agree that the Square character could be BIG news depending on who they choose. If they choose Geno fans will go crazy go nuts. If they choose Sora fans will probably throw the biggest fit the internet has ever seen. If I am not mistaken there are already fans writing petitions to keep him OUT of the game. Hell, as much as I love the character I don't want him being Square's sole representative since they have so many things to choose from, especially from Dragon quest and Final Fantasy.

There's a lot they can do to top Sonic which most people expected anyway.

I know this doesn't go for anyone except me, but playable Palutena would be bigger than Sonic since I'm not expecting her to be playable. What a waste of a perfectly good character, and a female one at that. I thought they were looking into including more female characters. She's relegated to the background of Pit's Final Smash.

And I know people oppose Cloud being included, but he would be bigger than Sonic. No one is expecting him to be there and he's arguably more popular than Sonic.

I felt the same way about Resetti and to a lesser extent, Little Mac: it was a shame to see them done as ATs instead of playable.

If Square contributes, I expect a Moogle: they've been the icon of the FF universe forever.

I expect Geno first and foremost. He is one of the most requested characters in Japan, as well as the US. His inclusion seems more than likely now, although it will be disappointing if a FF or DQ character doesn't make it.

Someone on GAF mentioned several alternate costumes when he played...

Samus: Dark suit/red visor, Fusion suit
Sonic: "recolors of blue" (Not really sure what that means, to be honest...)
Fox: Star Wolf outfit
Diddy: Dixie Kong outfit without the hair (Haha, what!?)
Bowser: has a golden costume, made out of gold

New Assiist Trophy I saw:
Saki from Sin and Punishment: Successors to the Earth. He follows you and shoots you and if you get close he takes out his sword to slash you. By following, from what I observed is that he moves up and down platforms... not sure if he gets closer or not.

Impressions from GameFaqs...Looks like Destructoid confused Saki for a girl!  (Tsk, tsk...)

Edit: Link VS Fox @ Pokemon Stadium 2

My God the Landmaster is HUGE...HUGE!  And I love the wireframe effect when it ends...

Link VS Fox @ Lylat Cruise

Just, wow...What a gorgeous stage...Fox's intro is also being dropped off by his Arwing, which is a lovely match...(And LOL at Fox getting the Superspicy Curry!)
