You'd have to design the stages around it, but competitive target breaking could be really great.

Now what gets me on this update is that they put STADIUM: Home Run Contest as the Title.  Which indicates that Home Run Contest is really a sub-title if that is the case I wonder what else they have cooked up.  Maybe even a full rivalry with Mario and Sonic Olympics...

Well the other Stadium stuff from Melee like Target Test and Multi-Man Melee Buncha-Boy Brawl are pretty likely to return.

Interesting thought: in SSB 64 and Melee, the Pokemon were all given their voices from the anime. I wonder if Meowth will speak.

There is only one Meowth in the anime that speaks and many others that only say Meowth, it'll say Meowth.

Also, the coin is a koban, currency used in the Edo period in Japan. Not sure why it's trying to be mysterious about it. Maybe cause they don't want to bother explaining that Meowth is based on a Maneki Neko?

I think it is Sakurai being insane again because like I said it appears it says a similar thing on the Japanese side referring to how foreigners say it.

Only if it is the Team Rocket Meowth in specific.  All the others could not speak.  They even had a show at one point that gave the backstory of why he could speak.

Talk about a redundant update. We already knew how playing with the Wiimote feels like and from the sounds of things you either love it or hate it.

Actually, conferences are always the worst for updates because they just announce what was at the conference, so there's no surprise. /sad

Well, Pikachu seems to be THE Pikachu (maybe) so this could be that Meowth. But I guess we'll see.

Pikachu isn't the only Pikachu...he has fought other Pikachu before...actually an evolved Pikachu for sure.

Personally, I am quite disappointed Meowth isn't playable.  I would have rather had Meowth playable than jigglypuff.

I am also upset that Pikachu's Smash Ball attack isn't evolving into Rychu or however you spell it.  Perhaps they will do that with Jigglypuff if she is still in the game.

But it would have been pretty cool and epic to have Meowth playable and be the Team Rocket version and then Pikachu Playable.

Wasn't that particular episode a musical?

God, why do I know that?
