This update is only interesting if you can smash him off the stage.

Honestly, it's better than an update that has nothing to do with gameplay at all, but still, once we've seen new character updates, everything else is just "blah" by comparison.

I know it's not possible to have a character update every day, but it's just like how you can't eat filet mignon every day because it costs too much but that doesn't mean you don't hanker for it.

So you are using my food metaphor, eh S_B? :p

As for the update, here is how I would rank the updates:
- New character
- Veteran character
- Stage update
- Adventure mode
- Assist trophy
- Music
- Item
- Basic gameplay (stuff that we already know of)
- Pokemon
- Extremely late update

Maybe its just me but Pokemon updates are not as exciting as Assist trophy updates.

Being grateful and longing for better are two different things.

I'm grateful the site exists at all, but the site and the hype are truly at their best right after the reveal of a new character. Nothing like browsing SSB forums after a new reveal...

But even special food gets tiring if you have it too often...That's why I like having lots of small updates with the rare MEGATON update...It just makes the update that much more special...

I like to mix these updates in with a Life...

I wondering if they plan on focusing on the unique assist trophies, pokemon, and items as Munchlax looks to be yet another that doesn't really directly benefit the user.

Just exactly what are you saying? *Raises eyebrow

And guys,  enough with the preaching. I KNOW that Sakurai is playing his hype card the best way possible and is keeping the frequency of new character updates to a minimum. I actually like some of the updates on the website (the "My Music" update was really cool), but that doesn't mean that I will be impressed by ALL of them. Like I said, I find Assist trophy updates to be more fun than Pokemon ones.

So let's leave it at that.

Of course, but you're going to tell me that you don't sit there hitting reload with anticipation when the site is about to update, hoping for the megaton?

Do you know how long it took my for the Sweet Honey Trees to give me a $&#! Munchlax in Pokémon: Diamond Version?

Hope he isn't as rare in this game.  That sounds kind of fun, him eating items.  As long as it's not something you're going for, anyway.

It would be funny if he ate Bob-Ombs, Starmen, Hammers, Poké Balls, Smash Balls, and other interesting items and at least reacted a little differently while/after eating them.

So did I, but then I noticed it did not have the "New Challenger Approaching" sign and finally saw the Assist Trophy writing at the bottom of the post.
Still, she'll be fun to use when you get her.
