I say fake because that Samus model looks awful.
Quote
*You will see Nintendo sway more toward Western publishers than Eastern/Asian publishers.  Nintendo feels that Eastern/Japanese publishers have lost their persuasion over the gaming market.  They don’t feel japanese publishers have the appeal to gamers like they did years ago.  They feel companies like Activision, Bioware, 2K Games, Rockstar, Blizzard, Valve, Electronic Arts, are dominating the gaming industry.  Nintendo feels that North America is a more important gaming market than Japan and they will go to the publishers that appeal the most to North America.  Nintendo no longer considers Japan to be as important of a market as they use to believe.
Seems odd that Blizzard would be listed here considering they don't typically release console games. Starcraft 64 is the last console game I remember them being involved in. Being listed separately from Activision is somewhat odd since they're under the same parent company though they exist and operate as a separate entity
Quote
*The team that worked on Smash Bros 64, Smash Bros Melee, and Smash Bros Brawl transferred the assets of the game to another developer to work on it. The original Smash Bros team is not working on this new Smash Bros title.
What does that even mean? The original and Melee were developed by Hal Labs. Brawl was developed primarily by Game Arts. I don't recall Hal Labs having any direct involvement in Brawl's development besides granting Game Arts access to the old code and materials of the previous games.

New Metroid Café Game Screen Shot or Interesting Fake?
you be the judge. (I say fake, but it still looks good)

http://wii2blog.com/a-metroid-screenshot/

I hope its fake because it looks like another Sakamoto abortion. Look at the Other M styled Samus and that pointer which suggests motion control aiming.

Don't worry, it's fake: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyWPCF-fDH0

HQ Camera's in Café?
« Reply #4427 on: May 31, 2011, 11:09:12 PM »
Nintendo to get some High Quality Cameras for Café?
http://www.electronista.com/articles/11/05/26/omnivision.alludes.to.apple.maybe.nintendo.deals/
Quote
Console plans were also unusually singled out during the call. The company said it had obtained a "significant design win" to supply cameras for a game console that would be ready in the next several months.

While the customer wasn't named, it wasn't likely to be Microsoft given that it already has a deal with the Kinect. With Sony more likely to use its own sensors for the NGP, the deal is more likely to focus on Nintendo's Project Cafe. The sequel to the Wii is rumored to be getting a controller with a camera for self-portraits and other photo-related gameplay that would need phone-sized sensors like those made by OmniVision.

Nintendo has already promised a sequel to the Wii for 2012 and plans to show it at E3 in early June.

Could the Café controllers have some HQ cameras packed in? or could it be for a TV mounted Camera (points back to Sensor Bar 2.0 designs). Either way it would be nice to see Nintendo use a camera capable of 1080p pics & video since that is the resolution that the console will be supporting. I don't know what resolution camera is needed for that (I know someone has told me before), but it would be nice for Nintendo to go there.

Man I am hyped to the max! Even if this lady is full of crap I have so much faith in SCV coming out for Cafe! Man there is no way this E3 can live up to that list can it? Either way I am ultra hyper hyped!

I remain skeptical because this chick sounds like those so-called "insider" bloggers that popped up in droves before the Wii was fully unveiled. They'd end all of their posts with **** like "You will see that I'm right and my sources are reliable. The Revolution is coming!" Who the hell is Emily Rogers and why do I care if she never writes again? I'd be far more trusting if say Ben Kuchera from Ars Technica put his ass on the line with a guarantee like Ms. Rogers did. Don't get me wrong, she may be legit (I'd bet against her) but her claims sound like click-bait and that's why the bigger sites don't make crazy bold claims like that. They don't need to. Sure, headlines are written in a way that piques curiosity, but "I'll never write again" bets are often red flags.

I like reading rumors as much as the next person but some of these are way outlandish. Nintendo has had some great E3s in the past, but I don't recall them ever unleashing the fury so relentlessly in 1 show, especially for hardware at least a year away.

Found another pic of the supposed specs.

This one is saying there is going to be both a basic and plus version of the console. This means both rumors of it having 8gb flash and a hard drive are true, but it depends on which version you're talking about. Hopefully the basic model can be upgraded with a hard drive similar to how the Xbox360 arcade model can be.

"Final" Spec Sheet and Comparison
« Reply #4434 on: June 01, 2011, 12:22:28 PM »

Found another pic of the supposed specs.

there was also a video of one of these 2 spec sheets (I think it was the first one, but quality was low I couldn't read it).

So let's discuss the differences between the 2 versions:

-Removed the types of chips used as to not be too specific

-2 version of the console. Basic (8GB) & Plus(8GB? + 250GBHDD)

-*Backwards Compatible only on Plus Version?
... I don't think Nintendo would do that.

-They also changed the amount of eDram to 32MB from 16MB
sounds expensive... very expensive.

-SDHC (which should be SDXC as 64GB is SDXC) has changed to SDHX
I'm sure Nintendo knows their SD card types and their abbreviations

-They have unrounded the edges and changed the background to match Nintendo's website

-They also fixed all that artifacting that was going on with the picture compression.

here is the "original"

I'm just gonna drop this here.

Yeah, they fat Fingered SDHC which shouldn't get through a professional PR team.  I honestly don't see Nintendo doing 2 SKUs with different functionality from the get go.  Though it is possible I mean how many normal consumers want to play GCN games?  Though whats odder is that the Processor Theoretical  speeds have been rounded and one has bumped down.

If their was a Plus version though I probably go ahead and get that one.

Yeah. For this reason alone I'm going to call the whole thing bullshit. The x key is right next to the c key on the keyboard so I can see how this typo was made, but the fact it was left there shows some amateur put it together.

Either way its a typo and therefore a likely forgery.

The original devkit 1.3 specs you had posted with the "for internal use only" stamped on it might have been legit, though. The hoaxers may have taken that legit spec sheet and then edited it just to mess with people.

In fact, maybe whoever it was that posted the earlier 8gb onboard flash rumor may be the ones behind this forgery, because that  wasn't in the original specs but it is added in the more recent one so my guess is they added it in to add further credence to that other rumor they made up.

The Custom Bluray-disc line makes it suspect, for one. They don't say custom mini-DVD or custom DVD for the other two formats.

I was just thinking about that too.

It should have said
NHDOD (Nintendo High Density Optical Disc)
NHCOD (Nintendo High Capacity Optical Disc)
NBOD (Nintendo Blue Optical Disc)
or something.

as the previous disc were labeled NOD (Nintendo Optical Disc) weren't they.
But that is assuming Nintendo doesn't use Bluray Playback in the new system.

That would make it less likely in my mind.  That is too new of tech.

Not so much for me because it says its backward compatible right below and I doubt Nintendo will give developers the option of producing games on the lower media, even though I'm sure some would fit on Wii media.

Though a 3.5ghz clock speed would run hot still but, I've been out of the loop processor wise for a while.  I would assume by know they've gotten those down to easy fan cooling level.

I get what your getting at.  The obvious answer would be since the other discs have their console name in it they be keeping it from the unavoidable know days leak but, something else to point toward fake you are right.

According to Wikipedia it came out in 2009. How is that "too new of tech" for a console that comes out in 2012?
