Well it is a HUGE increase to go from 6 million by March '07 to 6 million by Christmas '06 instead. It sounds like they basically doubled their order and by doing so shave off a percentage of the price by ordering in such bulk.

It shows confidence from Nintendo to sell Wii and faith in consumers to buy Wii. It also means larger 4th quarter profits to the manufacturing companies because of the discount they give to Nintendo to increase that production load.

) that looks like fact: THQ is out to sabotage all of their Wii projects in the graphical department by producing GC games on Wii disc. All of THQ's Wii offering are basically straight ports of their PS2/GC games graphically with added wiimote functionality. It looks like the spent their entire time working on controls(they didn't even use all the features of the wiimote) and didn't bother to look at the graphics of the game.

Read that article. Are you to surprised? I mean this will be less of a problem with all the other games since they don't have GCN Equivalents. But those games have GCN equivalents so why reinvent the wheel when you can focus on new play controls? Plus it states in those articles that they are pre-release and THQ has already stated most will get a Graphical upgrade.

That's pretty much par for the course for many games ported to the 360, though.

For example, Hitman 2 on the 360 is graphically identical to the Xbox version.

This isn't that disheartening to me.

If there is a THQ game I am interested in, I would rather them focus on tightening up the controls and perfecting how the game plays before moving on to enhancing the graphics.

However, it sounds like the THQ team has been having problems tightening up the controls and that really bothers me.

I think some studios are not thinking that Nintendo is worth spending the effort and money on...and that may make the consumers see the horrible 3rd party offerings and decided the Wii isn't truly next generation...when it definately is. The other systems are just insane.

There’s not much I can do to prove my credibility, however I think they may be of interest to you..

Talk about being in the right place at the right time! Our reader says that he scanned the images and sent them my way. I have taken screenshots of the .pdf files, which you can check out below.

after a closer inspection it looks like those "official" and "real" docs are very very FAKE
is that a wrinkled paper background texture applied to the documents?
It would have looked more authentic if the person had actually printed it out and then crumpled the paper himself then scanned it back in.

Yeah, if you increase the contrast on any two of the 'documents' the 'wrinkles' are in the exact same 'place'

Well I have an uncle that works for Nintendo and he says that the VR headset is only an optional accessory and that the disc drive is writable and you can make your own games. Oh and that Genesis games won't be on Wii anymore because Sega won't license their "Blast Processing" technology to Nintendo. lolzftwbbq

Those images are pretty convincing. Think about this: If you had a stack of papers and shoved them in a trash container, wouldn't they all fold in similar spots? I altered the levels in Photoshop to see the wrinkles and they do vary in size and placement, though close enough to be part of the same stack. So I do think the originator did scan in wrinkled papers.

I did a 'www.anywho.com' reverse lookup on the number posted on the first page. It comes up as Nintendo.

Too bad those things are easily faked. The problem with the images arose when the levels were adjusted. The pixel information is different than the paper. Plus, the words do not follow the folds in the paper.

I support the conclusion that the images from Reggie's desk is fake.

It's fake for one reason alone: important documents are SHREDED before they're disposed of.

And I've said it before: if Nintendo is trying to make gaming seem less intimidating, a helmet with wires coming out of it is a thousand steps in the WRONG direction.

The one thing that lead me to believe that the document was a fake was the attitude they had towards the competition. The sentence "the XBOX 360, a supposed next gen console, has sold less than the DS" sounds more like something a fanboy would say, not a high ranking official.

so nintendo has a fall catalog out and i picked one up at a gamestop on my break from work.
on like the second page theres a picture of a wii with a caption reading "coming soon." i chuckled, i'll admit it...
anyway, this is what it had to say about Wii:
