Yeah while I'll agree that Fifa (EA) have improved the playability of their football (soccer) series, the years of releasing sub par updates has hurt their reputation and means that Pro-Evo has a bigger appeal for footy games fans..... Most people I know that buy Fifa tend to use it more like a management sim and stuff because of the roster...

While every where you go Uni campuses after work events and stuff, barbecues whatever, you'll always come across people challenging each other to a Pro-Evo match.... So if they pull it off for the Wii and I think they'll see mario strikers and fifa and come up with a good control scheme, This will cement the Wii as the best all round system... Less of a reason for me to have two systems this cycle .........

I was forced to buy a PS2 alongside my gamecube because of Pro-Evo and streetfighter, didnt want to be left out the loop, got tired of loosing when the boys would meet up for a game of Pro....

Finally a reason to be excited...... If you think the wii is selling now in Europe just wait till Pro-Evo comes out if it is well balanced the Wii is gonna rock baby............. I'm so excited being tempted to consider getting a PS3 early just for this now I can wait till christmas 08 or even 09 before I get if I do with the way the Wii is going.........  

If you aint excited it's cool..... But for the Wii it's good news............. Finally some concrete information at last.........

Those figures are quite relaxing....

Interesting to see how well the wii is selling considering there only seems to be wii sports and wii play as the main titles at the moment sales wise anyway, this bodes well for when more diverse games start to appear in Japan. The DS train cannot be stopped........

aaarrgh forget sega already, have not being impressed with some of their work lately sonic on wii's good though...... Sega's gotta get with the program most of their IPs will do well on nintendo platforms if done well...

The point I was making, is related to the view some third parties are expressing. Basically I'm in a games shop with a friend who I play wii sports quite competitively with, the fact is its great fun and if there were any in stock theres no doubt he'd get one. But as time has passed its like we're in a games shop and he was making comments like "the games on the wii look cartoony, its really aimed at younger kids, just a general casual family thing not for proper games", and then pointing to wii play"just them type of games", he then went on to say "when I get paid I'm gonna pick up a PS3, I'm definitely getting it for the proper games, but I'll get a wii as well though".

It comments like that that irk me "proper games", I then spent the rest of the day explaining to him that the wii had all types of games, and Nintendo does things differently and also that more games were going to be announced I ended up feeling like a rep for nintendo. All I want is choice, so game play, good graphics, art design, simplicity, casual games etc... I just want the option.. I dont want to go through the denial phase i went through with the gamecube, and ended up buying a PS2 as well after spending so much hours playing it at most of my friends places.......

Initially I was excited about mysims, but I've started to notice a trend where a lot of the new games being announced have a kiddy look to the visuals, so my sims, ea music game cant remember what its called boogie or something, treasure islands or the one with the pirates and stuff, that hobby shop game or carpentry game whatever, oh and that game opoona, theres more just cant remember at the moment.

Nintendo has to really show these third parties how to do it, show them the 2-3 times more power than the gamecube and really just embarass them, the lack of effort is killing me damn! Cant wait for Prime, and also that Disater: Day of crisis game...........

Getting quite irritating with all the talk of remake this and port that and trying to make it seem like some serious thought has gone into the game..

The worst thing is if gamers decide to be prudent and take a wait and see approach, or if they decide that its not worth playing a port or remake, then all the third parties start complaining about not selling on nintendo consoles, and instead of blaming themselves for not putting the effort into making the game, they blames the wii owners for only wanting nintendo produced games and stuff. Capcom need to put their money where their mouth is and come up with more than that really......

I'm starting to get worried, I remember the wii was supposed to be 2-3 times more powerful than the gamecube, Find it weird that I'm still playing games that look technically less advanced than the gamecube. Nintendo has to show these third parties how its done I think.

Gonna have to add to that as well, We are reaching the point where more diverse games need to start showing up, a good amount of mature games, complex adventure games, some strong non-kiddy looking third party games. With the kinda sales the wii is pushing, I think it is crucial that the "cool" image is firmly associated with the wii before say xmas 07. We all know that microsoft and sony will soon have no choice but to try and use negative references to hurt the wii, because of the massive sales. It is obvious already that microsoft is feeling threatened judging by some recent comments.

The impression I seem to be getting from people even though the wii is selling, is stuff like "playstation is a big name blah blah blah, sooner or later its gonna start selling, blu-ray blah blah blah". So the wii is popular but it is still shaking off nintendo's gamecube image. We need more diverse games so that any challenge from the 360 or PS3 is killed off early and finally everyone will come to accept that wii is here for the long term so that stupid comments like this ....http://www.nintendorevolution.ca/03292007/11/nintendo_wii_a_fad_ps3_will_win...                       can stop once and for all.........

Kinda unfair gamecube had an image problem, also the lack of good quality games early on meant RE4 came 2 late... by then people seemed to have given up on it anyways... With the wii nintendo seems to be doing everything right, but there are areas that need improving.....

Came across this article.... Seems like the sales of the Wii is beating even Nintendo's forecast, looking like it's gonna top 360 this year after all..................................
Over 6 mil in bout 4 months globally .. impressive.. Now where are those third party xclusives...

It's pretty basic... Could be more stable.. Frustrating, but then its free right. A lot of what i had in minds already been covered ...anyhows...

Loaded up wiiminder yesterday and so far they have tried to fix some of the problems... still annoyin but not as before..
and also you can get music off some stations and just surf in another tab(one of the features of wiiminder)......

Me thinks this is gonna be a unique playing game and its also being developed from the ground up for the wii... Never really gotten into any of the sims games, but i'm looking forward to how this one pans out....

EA is showing alot of early love..

Now we need Konami to get in on it with Pro evolution soccer that would be it (as far as the UK (Europe) is concerned), if they could somehow incorporate wiimote functionality into that.. for example when you pass u can use the wiimote to aim left or right. or aiming up for a loop n stuff like that'll be really cool........ Konami are you listening

On balance the statement is neither here nor there really...

Any game player coulda worked out there'll be quite a number of games in the works.. even gamecube had games that no one knew about.. the question is would they make light off day and also the quantity so far... I'm not really worried.. 5 million wiis sold so far suggest there will be more games on this unit than the cube and that my fellow wiiers is a positive.. Period!........
