Nintendo Gaming / Re: Dead Space Announced for Wii
« on: February 05, 2009, 01:33:51 PM »
I don't know if Dead Space Wii will be just as good as the 360/PS3 version, but the fact that its being considered as a Wii title is something to applaud EA.
It's like we're living in some crazy delusional backwards world where hamburgers eat humans and we wear shoes on our hands and ham sandwiches on our feet because I, in no way, see how EA should be applauded for this. They should be applauded for "considering" Dead Space as a Wii title? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Nintendo = Market leader. It should be the other way around.

3rd party support is getting better, but this crap has to stop, at least until there's some balance between new titles and ports/remakes. Wii hardware is good enough for Dead Space, but not good enough for Godfather II? For every backhanded compliment and contradictory statement that comes from 3rd parties regarding the Wii, its audience, its hardware etc., Satoru Iwata should slap each and every one of them and their mothers in the face and genitals with a wad of hundred dollar bills.

Honestly, considering how EA announced their focus shifting to Wii, I wouldn't be surprised if they announced GF2 for Wii shortly. Like it has already been mentioned, they already have a good engine set up on Wii.

Wait, so the first current-gen down-port we got was Dead Rising, and now we're getting Dead Space, another "Dead" game? That can't be a coincidence. Remember you heard it here first, folks, I just called that the Wii is getting Left 4 Dead.

You just got me excited at the possibility. My CPU can't run L4D but I love to play it w/ friends at the mall's internet cafe.

Also, there have been reports that EA is looking into implementing the MotionPlus into Dead Space.

Murmurs are also confirming the snowboarding game has the worst AI in the history of video games..

Yeah check the IGN thread I made, it caused craig to throw the wii controller and supposedly he hasn't thrown a controller in 6 years.

Now he has to back to Control Throwers Anonymous.

Though other people have reported that the online multiplayer mode is really fun and there are a lot of people playing it. Plus it has a 'Snowboard Kids' vibe to it.

EA has been far better with quality titles then Ubisoft has been. I've been really happy with MOST of EA's support so far. They've been working hard at improving their sports games for Wii, Boom Blox is stellar, their port of Godfather was great, Smarty Pants was a tremendously deep trivia game, along with games like MOH, and MySims, .

Don't forget Rock Band 2 which is all kinds of awesome.

IGN gives a score of 8.0. I thought it was an informative review.

Ahh, too many games. Deadly Creatures, House of the Dead, Tenchu 4, Killzone 2, Resident Evil 5, MadWorld, ... (any others?)

What to buy what to buy. Good thing Conduit is in June.

Tenchu 4 and Deadly Creatures are what I am interested in for Feb that you listed. I am not actually too keen on Madworld yet. Though my mind could be changed if I try it first or it gets an amazing review. I don't go crazy for a game based solely on gratuitous violence.

Does this mean that we will get the see Godfather 2 on Wii since the first was so awesome on it? I picked it up last fall and fell in love w/ the game. Then EA announced the second one for everything but Wii. Here's hoping.

Anyone checked out much of the new DLC?
Other than the 20 freebies I got Crush Crush Crush though I may get Hit Me With Your Best Shot because I liked that on GH3.

And this month is supposed to be when we start getting the normal new DLC like the other systems (just in time to get the 'Ten' album which is coming soon I hope)

General Gaming / Re: Free Radical was bought out by Crytek

Well this is good news if Free Radical can hire its staff back that they let go....they lost a lot of talented people...and it is sad that the almost finished Star Wars game is still probably pulled from them.

Time Splitters 4 is probably the reason the company was bought, and will be the big game to be released, don't worry.

That would be nice to see them get to finish the Star Wars game. It'd probably be too late but if enough people get upset they might bring it back to them. Who knows. One can wish, right?

OK, thanks!

Hi all. I've been a long time lurker and podcast listener. By long time I mean since before planetGamecube back when Billy and Louie the Cat participated actively on site content.
I finally decided to sign up for the forums.

A quick noob question though: the forum help section says bbc code is allowed in your sig, but I can't get it to work. I placed the desired code in the box and it says it's not permitted. What is allowed and not allowed in the sig then?
I wanted to place an image from my backloggery account.
