You can transfer your downloadable titles to Wii U at launch!
Players will be able to transfer their downloaded Virtual Console and WiiWare titles from their Nintendo Wii to their new Wii U consoles. The feature will be available at launch, though details are unknown at this point in time. The options were mentioned earlier in the year, but we now have a firm confirmation from the Japanese company.

Everything from Wii Remote controllers to stands can be purchased alongside the Wii U.
Nintendo showcased some of the accessories gamers can get for their brand new Japanese Wii U when it releases in Japan on December 8.
One accessory already confirmed for the system is the Wii U Pro Controller. A traditional controller, the Wii U Pro Controller comes in black and white, and has been priced at 5,040 yen ($65).

A slew of Nintendo patent applications detail swimming, pogo, tanks, and more.
A dozen patent applications revealing unannounced game ideas appeared in the European registry on September 12, most of them pertaining to Wii Fit U.
Several apparent Wii Fit U games involve the combination of the Wii U GamePad and Balance Board, like many of the modes revealed at E3 earlier this year. Three new modes, swimming, pogo stick hopping, and tank battles are detailed.

Wreck your tomatoes next week on the Virtual Console in Japan.
Wrecking Crew and Sarada no Kuni to Tomato Hime (Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom) are both making their way to the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Japan next week on September 19. The games, which are the Famicom versions, will retail for 500 yen each.

Finally, North America gets the Game Boy Goemon game.
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, the 1997 Game Boy title, is coming to the 3DS Virtual Console in North America tomorrow, a Nintendo representative told us today.

Nintendo will host a second Wii U Nintendo Direct for Japan tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET (7 a.m. PT/11 p.m. JST), focusing on first-party and third-party software. This will start at the same time as the North American and Europe events.
This is the second Japan Nintendo Direct announced in the past 24 hours. The first one will focus on the launch details of the Wii U, and is happening at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT later tonight/tomorrow.

The long awaited crossover's debut date will be November 29.
Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney will be released on November 29, 2012 in Japan, as was revealed in this week's issue of Famitsu.
Last week the magazine had a puzzle from Level-5 on the back cover. The puzzle featured the numbers "6211" with the word 'turnabout' given as a hint. At that time it was speculated this could mean a November 29 release date.

Australia is not being left out of the promise of region specific details.
Australian Nintendo fans will be able to watch the European Nintendo Direct on September 13, at the time of 24:00 (AEST) via the Nintendo Direct website.
Australasian specific details will be made available at nintendo.com.au after the broadcast has finished. We'll be sure to update with all the news as it becomes available.

The EB Games Expo is on again and is coming up soon.
The EB Games Expo which started last year in Australia is back in full force. This year the expo is to be held over three days, starting from October 5, 2012.
The expo is to be held at the Sydney Olympic Park with over 25,000 square metres of the latest gaming goodness. Nintendo will be there in full force, however it is not currently known what exactly they will be showing outside of Pokémon Black and White 2.

It's like the sequel to Balloon Kid we never got.
Balloon Trip Breeze is one of the newly revealed Nintendo Land attractions, and Game Informer has a trailer showing it off for the very first time.
We previously reported most of what Game Informer confirmed in the trailer today from early reports from the magazine's October issue, but the new trailer shows off the game in action for the first time. The graphical style appears to of a patchwork-looking nature similar to Kirby's Epic Yarn.
