Gpara.com's Spaceworld coverage has revealed a screenshot of the new Zelda game in action. Already cries of "blasphemy" can be heard throughout the internet. Yet, it is only one screenshot with very little info to be gleaned from the text accompanying it.
We at PGC have discussed the different... Read more...

According to Nintendo press materials, the U.S. GameCube launch is being pushed from November 5, 2001, to November 18 2001. That will put the GameCube launch after, rather than before Microsoft's scheduled Xbox launch.

Mind blowing news about the most anticpated of Nintendo franchises.
The news flow has begun, and we start with a doozy. First, a Zelda game was shown and Link was cel-shaded. Yes, you read correctly. This is, of course, an entirely different look than what was shown at Space World last year. IGN Cube speculates on the possibility of two games, although it doesn't seem likely.

The developer of Rune also has a Pokemon-like adventure game coming to GameCube in 2002.
GameSpot has acquired From Software's 2002 lineup, which includes Gold Star Mountain for GameCube. Here's the description:
This is a 3D action-RPG where players train and raise animals that have a mind of their own. The main character is a young boy who uses a gun as his weapon. The game is divided into two parts: training animals and battles. Items acquired during battle can be used to raise the animals.

The newest issue of Nintendo Power relays the bad news...
Thanks to reader "Strange D. Nintendophile", we now know that Star Fox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet has been delayed until the first quarter of 2002. Some previous retail reports placed it in late November or early December, but Nintendo Power is NOA's official magazine, and anything it reports is the official line. Here's Strange D.'s transcription:

E3 tries to steal some spotlight away from Space World with an interesting schedule announcement.
According to FGNOnline, the Interactive Digitial Software Association, or IDSA, has decided to change the dates for E3 2002. It will now run from May 22nd through 24th, which happens to be Wednesday through Friday (instead of the usual Thursday through Saturday). It's being done because the following weekend is Memorial Day weekend. Here's an explanation from IDSA-guy Doug Lowenstein:

Well, we're still alive...fortunately cause the poop hits the fan in 10 hours. A couple thoughts before the big Sho'.
Well, it's 2am here in Japan, and obviously we can't sleep. We stayed up tonight to watch the "Video Game News". We think it was sponsored by Famitsu, but we're not exactly sure. The cool part was the commercials. We got to see commercials for Golden Sun and Wario Land for GBA. Way cool stuff.... Read more...

The best French Nintendo news site strikes again!
According to Waluigi of Puissance Nintendo, French developer Doki Denki is working on 2 mystery games, exclusively for the GBA and GameCube. Doki Denki focuses on child-oriented titles, with games like "Tigger's Honey Hunt" under its belt. Though this wont exactly shake Nintendo's kiddie image, it's good to see more support for the 'Cube and GBA.

Some people are reporting that Sonic Adventure 2 for GameCube at Spaceworld is now officially confirmed. Could it be true?
This afternoon, several PGC readers (Pher_04005, jm_mad, Alberto Riol) emailed us about a Sonic Adventure 2 confirmation. Apparently the Japanese site GC-Inside reported the story, and its source was Nintendo Kids magazine from Japan. However, we decided not to run the story yet, because we don't have access to the magazine for verification, and Nintendo's online Spaceworld games list remained unchanged.

Between watching some very interesting late night television shows last night...we saw a very cool thing...
Japanese Television in itself is a total trip. We saw lots of commercials for Shenmue 2, Devil May Cry, and Final Fantasy 10.
We waited through very strange love shows (don't ask) to get a glimpse of the new Wave Race commercial we posted earlier. And then we finally saw it. To finally see a GameCube ad on television was a very spiritual experience.
