The first 3DS system update of the year is good news for forgetful parents.
Nintendo has made a new system update available to Nintendo 3DS owners.
Users who upgrade to Version 7.2.0-17U will gain the option to set an email address in the Parental Controls settings. Once this email address is set, a user can later have instructions sent there in case of a forgotten Parental Controls PIN.

The Japanese variety show will air new footage of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire this Sunday!
Pokémon Get☆TV has announced they will air world exclusive footage of Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and Pokémon Omega Ruby this Sunday on their program.
According to Serebii, it is not known exactly what kind of footage the Pokémon themed variety show will air. It will be the first footage shown beyond the teaser trailer posted earlier in the week by Nintendo.

Nintendo responded further today regarding the absence of same-sex marriages in Tomodachi Life.
"We apologize for disappointing many people by failing to include same-sex relationships in Tomodachi Life," the company stated on their website. They further explained that a patch to include same-sex marriages wasn't feasible.

It's an odd week, this one, but still somewhat decent. We see two Mega Man titles as promised thanks to Capcom's Mega May promotion, while quirky platformer Wario Land 4 lands on the Wii U Virtual Console. Unfortunately, there are no original Wii U eShop games out this week (again). There are, however, three new DSiWare titles if you're still living in 2010. Don't worry, no one's judging you.

A notable update was recently released for Wii U eShop title Blok Drop U.
If you haven't downloaded the update already, it will automatically download when the title is launched.
Developer RCMADIAX added sound effects and save states, improved graphics, among other things to improve the puzzler.
