After yesterday's run-down from a GameStop employee, we now have another employee from a competing retailer writing in to give us another point of view.
Another retail report has come in, covering many of the same issues touched on by SillyMrMan. Now, we have a new contributor from a rival-retailer writing in and since it's pretty informative, we have no problem passing the information along to you. Today, we hear from someone dubbing himself "The Crazed Rabbit."

With the recent decision for IGN to start selling "premium" content, but going about it in what we feel is the wrong way, plus our need to offset our costs, we've been throwing around the idea of an E3 Preview magazine.
The current plan is for 16 pages, with previews, pictures from last year's... Read more...

Thanks to an elite PGC reader/retail employee, we have NGC pre-order poster shots and a info-laden retailer report! Good stuff!
PGC has gained the assistance of a longtime reader turned l33t retail reporter, a gentleman calling himself "SillyMrMan" (and we'll leave it at to protect his anonymity) who has emailed us several promotional posters received from Nintendo. Since he was nice enough to hook us up, we got in touch and were all to happy to see what he had to say about the posters and other information from the retail front.

Happy Friday the 13th!
Editor-in-Chief Max Lake apologies to IGN.
Early this morning, PGC posted screenshots of Thunder Rally that had been posted to our forum and had been leaked all over the Internet. However, these shots were high profile shots for debut tomorrow on IGN Insider, IGN’s new subscription service. By publicizing the leakage we made things even worse for IGN Insider’s debut, something we had not intended to do. We had no right to run the screenshots and should not have done so.

Square will not be showing any products for Nintendo systems at E3 2001. But is this as bad as it sounds?
Nintendojo's MSTAnon has learned from a Square US representative that the giant software publisher will not be showing any games for Nintendo systems or any other non-Sony systems. (Doesn't make much sense to show Wonderswan Color games at E3, since it hasn't and probably won't be released in the US.)

Microsoft's managing director gives an educated guess on GCN's Japan price at launch.
Although Microsoft has no inside information when it comes to Nintendo's business, Hirohisa Ohura's job is to know what hardware costs. So when asked what the Japanese price of the Xbox would be, he stated that it all depends on its competitors' prices.
"...the price of Nintendo's GameCube, which I personally think will fall around 19,800 yen ($160)."

As the GIA says, it truly is the Land of the Rising Fun. GBA sales numbers are in, and all is well.
GameSpot VG reports that Famitsu's GBA sales numbers are in, and they show the fledgling handheld breaking the one million mark in Japan. In about three weeks of availability, Famitsu has recorded 1,132,612 Game Boy Advance units being sold in Nintendo's home country. Note that Famitsu sales data is usually less than the actual statistics, because of the sampling method used.
