Pikmin 3 is meant to make players want to play again.
A 3DS and GBA Pikmin game were both made and scrapped according to an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto.
Miyamoto says it wasn't until the Wii U version that he felt better about the projects, stating that the GBA and 3DS projects "were versions that I wasn't really happy with until we came to this version on the Wii U and I finally felt like I was able to create the Pikmin game that I wanted to create."

I guess that means no more motion controlled Rabbid games?
Ubisoft stated during their investor meeting that it has "reduced plans" for the Wii U following the weak launch, according to tweets from David Gibson covering the meeting at E3. Ubisoft also stated that they expect Nintendo to introduce price cuts for the console given how sales are panning out and how weak the yen is.

Nintendo is looking to release a free-to-play game within the fiscal year, as stated in Tweets from David Gibson during a recent analyst meeting. Nintendo stated that the game wouldn't be set in the Pokémon or Mario universes, since those franchises were already established. The fiscal year they refer to ends March 2014.

Things are looking great for the little 3D handheld.
David Gibson, a research analyst, tweeted during a Nintendo analyst briefing that Animal Crossing: New Leaf has boosted US 3DS sales by four times versus the prior week, and has set a new digital sales record in the eShop.
In related 3DS news, a Nintentendo analyst briefing stated that the market share of the system in the UK has grown to 19% in between January and March, to 23% in April, and to 26% in May.

The browser based version of Miiverse has added more social networking functions.
Users can now share Miiverse posts directly through Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and Tumblr. This feature has not been added to the Wii U version of Miiverse, and there has been no word on whether or not it would be added.

A recent unofficial translation of CoroCoro, a Japanese magazine, more details on the upcoming Pokémon X and Y were revealed.
Three new chracters have been confirmed to be in the game. First is Sansa, who had appeared in one of the earlier trailers for the game following the player into a forest. The second character, Pansy, had originally appeared in the Pokémon anime. The third is a gym leader, Viola who uses bug-type Pokémon.

CORRECTION: A joke about what Luigi looks like in the new Cat Suit got a lot of people reminiscing about the classic Mario power-up.
Correction:
In the original story below, we reported that the Frog Suit was making a return to Super Mario 3D World on the Wii U. While the Nintendo developers did mention the Frog Suit when presenting the game, it was only as part of a joke. The presenters were pointing out how Luigi looked like in the new Cat Suit (all green), how it reminded them of the Frog Suit, and how it would be funny if that was also part of the game.

Motion capped dogs for everyone!
During Gamespot's E3 live stream, Infinity Ward confirmed that Call of Duty: Ghosts will be coming to Wii U.
Mark Rubin, executive producer on the game, stated that it had not been previously confirmed because they "wanted to keep it mysterious." There was no word on why the publisher, Activision, still hasn't confirmed the game for Wii U.

Read on for the metric ton of info that was revealed, and teased, by the developers, including diagonal movement and multiple rivals.
A lot of specifics were revealed in the Q&A session of Nintendo's Tuesday evening Pokémon Roundtable led by Junichi Masuda of GameFreak, director and producer of the Pokémon series, along with Pokémon Comany CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara. Masuda did the majority of the talking during the presentation.

We got a look at Wind Waker HD, but a sneak peek of Link's newest outing could have happened.
Nintendo had considered bringing Wii U's next Zelda game to E3 this year according to Shigeru Miyamoto while talking with Game Informer.
The idea of showing the game, which Miyamoto claims is further along in development than many thought, at E3 this year was being tossed around by Nintendo.

The Director's Cut is coming to the 360, PS3, PC, and Mac.
Square Enix has confirmed that Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut is no longer exclusive to the Wii U, and will be releasing on 360, PS3, PC and Mac.
This is frustrating news for Wii U owners who were told that this version of the game would have features only capable on the Wii U. This begs the question: was that simply not true or are the Wii U specific features being ported to the other systems somehow?

If you like Bingo, you are going to love Pikmin 3.
Pikmin will give gamers three different ways to enjoy the game: Story Mode, Mission Mode, and Bingo Battle. Story Mode is the main game, while Mission Mode features specific challenges that last somewhere between 7-10 minutes each. Bingo Battle is Pikmin 3's 2 player multiplayer mode.

The Sword & Sorcery developer has some good news for indie game fans.
In an interview with VG24/7, Nathan Vella of Capybara Games (Super Time Force, Sword & Sorcery) said that he's seen "Nintendo making a big move to try and get smaller, unique, independent games on Wii U."
He goes on to say that they're reaching out to developers, and although they're "playing catch up," they're putting forth significant effort with people like Dan Edelman manning their downloadable division.

Island hopping and vikings! What's not to love?
In a developer interview on Nintendo's YouTube channel with Kensuke Tanabe, it was revealed that, in addition to Diddy and Dixie, there is still a third unannounced playable character.
Tanabe also detailed a new plucking and throwing mechanic, similar to Super Mario Bros. 2, and showed how plucking certain items can also be used to solve puzzles.

Koichi Hayashida, the director of Super Mario 3D World, recently revealed several details regarding the game in a Wii U Developer Direct.
According to Hayashida, multiplayer works similarly to the New Super Mario Bros. series, in that you can pick up and throw other players. Additionally, each player will receive a score of their progress at the end of the level.
