Both Sora and Riku will be playable characters in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts title for 3DS.
In a discussion with Degenki, Kingdom Hearts creator and lead designer Tetsuya Nomura discussed the themes behind Kingdom Hearts 3DS’s story. While he didn’t dive into the details of the story, Nomura did state that the game would be about having trust in others.
Nomura briefly mentioned a new aspect of the gameplay. Players will be able to play as both Sora and Riku and switch between them.

Sonic's most colorful adventure yet has a release date and a new trailer.
Sega has announced that the Wii and DS exclusive Sonic title, Sonic Colors, will be released in North America on November 16. In addition to the release date, Sega has released a new gameplay trailer that shows off even more high speed gameplay combined with the new color power-up mechanics.
Players reserving the game at Gamestop will receive a Sonic hat as the pre-order gift.

Nintendo of America announced that Art Academy, for Nintendo DS, will be released on October 25, 2010. Designed to allow users to create their own works of art and to teach real-world art skills, it will retail for $19.99.

Pokemon Black and White's director wants to put old and new players on the same level.
Pokemon Black and White, coming out in September in Japan, will feature only new Pokemon until the end, according to Junichi Masuda, the game's director, in a blog post on developer GameFreak's web site (translated via Andriasang).
Masuda explained that he wanted kids and adults to start at the same place in the new game, so everyone could have the sense of discovery with new creatures.

3DS games are not part of projections for the current fiscal year.
At a Q&A session during Capcom's recent investors briefing, Nintendo 3DS was one of the major subjects. When asked whether 3DS games were part of their projected sales and profits for the fiscal year ending 31 March 2011, the response was that the two games announced at E3, Resident Evil Revelations and Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, are not included in the figures.

The Big N won't be hosting a press conference this year.
Nintendo will not be hosting a press conference at GamesCom later this month. This is the second consecutive year that Nintendo has opted for a quieter presence at the German gaming convention, maintaining a booth, but not holding a separate press event. It has already been reported that they will not be releasing the launch price or date for the Nintendo 3DS handheld until September 29.

Nintendo's own web site gives a tentative release date for the interesting WiiWare title.
And Yet It Moves, the platformer from indie developer Broken Rules, is set to come out on August 23 according to a listing on Nintendo's web site.
While it isn't 100 percent official, the late August release is extremely likely, especially after the release date of recent WiiWare release Dive: The Medes Island Secret was leaked in the same manner.

Spidey's creator speaks highly of the new game and the character.
At San Diego Comic Con, it was announced that Stan Lee was going to narrate the upcoming game Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. Below is a video showing Lee doing some voice-over work, talking about his famed character, and how he's totally behind the new game.Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is coming to Wii and DS on September 7. Huge drop in profits compared to this time last year.
Capcom have reported a net income of 216 million yen ($2.4 million) for the quarter ending June 30, 2010. Compared with the same period in 2009, this is a 94.8 percent drop. While profits are down, net sales are similar to last year, with just a 2.4 percent drop to 19,037 million yen ($219 million).

Sega released the official box art for Conduit 2 today, and it is saddled with prominent text that says it has "single, split-screen, and online combat."
Alongside the release of the box art, Sega also teased that more exciting information about the game is on the way. This could be anything from new content or a specific release date.

Lots of videos showcasing the early parts of Metroid: Other M.
As well as yesterday's trailer, a series of video clips from Metroid: Other M reveal the early areas of the game. There are seven gameplay trailers showing a mini-boss, the biosphere style "Sector 1", visor battling, and fighting in corridors. Cutscenes from the beginning of the game have also been released, showing the events that happened prior to the beginning of Other M.

European Q4 releases include Donkey Kong Country Returns, but Kirby's Epic Yarn is due 2011.
Nintendo's Japanese release list from their financial forecast has confirmed the European release timeframes for several upcoming Wii games from Nintendo.
While no specific release dates were given, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Flingsmash,
and Wii Party are due before Christmas. Kirby's Epic Yarn is set for release in the first quarter of 2011, with Mario Sports Mix and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword also listed for 2011.

For the first time in more than two years, Nintendo has posted a loss for the quarter ending June 30 2010. Net loss was 25.2 billion yen ($289 million), a 42 percent drop compared to the same period in 2009. Sales revenue dropped 26 percent to 188.6 billion yen ($2.1 billion).

Bloomberg's Japanese division has confirmed that Nintendo will reveal price and release date details on September 29 in Japan. This follows a telephone conversation between Bloomberg and Yasushi Hiroshi Minagawa, Nintendo spokesperson. Shipment targets for the fiscal year are expected to be part of the announcement.

The new RPG features time-travel gameplay and staffers from the PS2 RPG Radiata Stories.
Atlus unveiled a new DS RPG in Famitsu called Radiant Historia.
Hitting Japan on November 4, the game's story is focused on a hero named Stok, who is on one side of a war that broke out because people in the world are suffering from "Sand Person Disease." In a fight, he is wounded, and is then transported to an alternate world. From then on, Stok must travel between the past and future of two worlds and try to create one good timeline.
