Gold controller on the way as promotional item for Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Nintendo will release a special gold Wii Remote Plus as a promotional item for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for a limited time.
A release window for Skyward Sword has been confirmed for the holiday season this year. The controller will be available alongside the game release.

Nintendo will make the new 4-player Four Swords Zelda available for free.
Early in Nintendo's E3 Press Conference Nintendo revealed a new Zelda game for DSi owners. The title will be a Four Swords Zelda game and feature 4-player cooperative gameplay. Nintendo announced that the game will be released this September, and will be free to download.

More classic games to download right away.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening will be available to purchase from the Virtual Console portion of the eShop starting today. The game will be available in all territories.
This was revealed as part of the Legend of Zelda: 25th Anniversary announcements during Nintendo's E3 press conference. We'll have more information as it comes in.

Nintendo and Jaleco will deliver three more VC titles to 3DS next week in Japan.
Three titles will hit the
Japanese Virtual Console on the Nintendo 3DS next week, including Donkey Kong.
The news
comes from a recent update on the official Japanese Nintendo website
where it shows that Donkey Kong, Qix and Ikari no Yousai (Fortified
Zone in North America) will be released on June 15. The release of
the three titles will bring the total number of 3DS Virtual Console games in Japan to nine.

Download your Game Boy games, Excitebike, and Pokédex!
The 3DS eShop is live, so get to downloading the system's latest system update for Nintendo's newest system.
Alongside the update are several games, including Excitebike 3D Classics and Pokédex 3D, both for free. Also, three games for the Virtual Console are available - Super Mario Land, Alleyway, and Radar Mission.

As DSiWare begins to fade into the eShop background, we get some confirmation of its size.
The limit on DSiWare games is 16 megabytes, according to an anonymous developer source who was limited by the restriction.
The news was previously known, but the re-confirmation of the restriction is a reminder of the limitations of the service, which will be available on 3DS systems tonight when the next system update opens up the eShop.

The popular dance series continues.
Just Dance 3 will be arriving on Wii in October, Ubisoft announced during their E3 press conference.
40 music tracks will be included spanning a number of different genres including pop, funk, and disco. The two prior installments of the series have sold over 10 million copies worldwide. Ubisoft promises that the game will have new features, but did not discuss details.

Fix coming later this month.
A bug in the June 6 3DS firmware update can cause Ridge Racer 3D to hang, according to a notice posted by Nintendo. After updating to the latest firmware version,
backing out of Race Select or Machine Select in Ridge Racer 3D results in a frozen game.
Nintendo recommends that players simply avoid those actions, and rebooting if the system hangs. They will upload a new system update in the middle of June that
fixes the problem.

Kirby's animated TV series will soon be available via the Wii in Germany.
Starting later this month, Germany will receive a free Kirby TV Channel via the Wii Shop Channel.
This channel features Kirby's animated TV show, which started back in 2004. At launch, 4 episodes will be available, with a new episode being added every two weeks.
It is not known as to whether or not this channel will be released in other European countries.

A version of Tetris for 3DS is hitting retail shelves this October, according to Tetris Online.

Japanese newspaper Nikkei seems to confirm recent rumors.
The Wii successor will include a touch screen and camera, according to Japanese newspaper Nikkei. No source of the information is given.
Seeming to confirm earlier rumors, the upcoming system's controller is said to include a six-inch touch screen, which will allow players to use touch controls to manipulate characters seen on the television screen. It can also be used as a portable game controller, independent of the television.

Now you can try to get past that tricky spot again and again.
Games made available on the Virtual Console service of the Nintendo eShop will have full save states. This means that it is possible to save your game during gameplay, and retry from that point in the game multiple times.

Players hoping to experience the supernatural RPG on their 3DS this summer might be disappointed.
A newsletter sent by Atlus confirms that Devil Survivor Overclocked for the 3DS, once slated for a June 2011 release, has been delayed. The title now has a vague Fall 2011 release date.
Along with the delay, Atlus revealed the game's final box art.

Sakurai teases at the possibilities on Twitter.
Masahiro Sakurai, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Kid Icarus: Uprising director, posted a photo of his E3 pass that hints at the possibility of a Zelda 25th anniversary project at E3.
Another photo features a playful shot of Sakurai's cat gnawing at the pass's lanyard. On one side, it has the words "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword". On the other side, it reads "Zelda 25th Anniversary".

Update: Several titles have been removed from the list.
Along with the reveal of the 3DS's eShop lineup in North America and Europe, the titles that will not be transferable have been revealed. Players will not be able to transfer the following games and apps to their 3DSs once the firmware update hits in June:

Following the launch of the eShop, upcoming titles for the North American Virtual Console are set to include Super Mario Land, Alleyway, and Radar Mission.
