I appreciate that Battfleck is directing a Bat Flick. Argo, The Town, and Gone Baby Gone were all good movies. Good Will Hunting is a classic. He's directing a Prohibition movie? He keeps making more money off me.
For spider-man...his origin can be handled in dialog. "Hey spider-man? How did you get your powers?" "I attended a science experiment, a weird spider bit me, I got sick for a day, and I woke up with spider powers"
On the other hand I always liked the idea of a super-verse where Captain America is created, and all the other superheros and villains are created in an effort to duplicate the experiment. Hulk-Captain America experiment gone wrong, Green Goblin - an attempt to improve that experiment(maybe somethign to do with skrulls?), spider-man same stuff(I always liked the idea that Spider-man only thought he got his powers from the spider...that actually he was genetically engineered from birth and his powers just coincidentally happened after he got bit, his only powers that are spider-like is that he can stick to walls and the spider sense, everything else is typical superhero powers)
