Machete (Trejo) is a Mexican ex-Federale with a gift for wielding a blade, who hides out as a day laborer, who is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator (De Niro). The film was teased as a faux trailer that was directed by Robert Rodriguez in Dimension Films' Grindhouse, which featured a full-length film from both Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino.
The story centers on a high school dweeb named Dave Lizewski who decides to become a superhero even though he has no athletic ability or coordination. Things change when he eventually runs into real bad guys with real weapons.

Heath Ledger as Tony: A mysterious outsider who joins the group. When Ledger died in the midst of production, the role was recast to have Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell portray "physically transformed versions" of the character.
Depp, Farrell, and Law opted to redirect their wages for the role to Ledger's young daughter, Matilda, who had been left out of an old version of Ledger's will. Gilliam altered the part of the credits saying "A Terry Gilliam film" to "A film from Heath Ledger and friends."
I'm kind of upset.
I don't like going to the movies.
Black Dynamite makes its Canadian theatrical premier on the 14th, and on the 16th in the same cinema they have Dead Snow as a Toronto theatrical premier. Well I can't watch Dead Snow because I have a closing shift on that day, but Black Dynamite??? *shrug*
I will just have to wait for their Bluray releases.
Black Dynamite is "One Screening Only". Whatever that means.

I just saw the first one recently, it was really good but should not under any circumstances get a sequel.

I actually got really bored with One Piece. I watch the first 10 episodes and decided that the story is going nowhere and ditched it.

I really don't think there is an argument that the look has changed for the worse.
It look creepy, like the stuff nightmares are made of, but maybe that was the look he was going for.
After he discovers that he's the son of the Greek god Poseidon (Kevin McKidd), 12-year-old Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman) strikes out on an action-packed adventure to rescue his mortal mother and negotiate a peace treaty between his father, Zeus (Sean Bean) and Hades (Steve Coogan).

The action continues from [Rec], with the medical officer and a SWAT team outfitted with video cameras are sent into the sealed off apartment to control the situation.
By using the flipped perspective of the camera-equipped troops, Balagueró and Plaza have designed a shocker meticulously calculated to set your nerves on edge. [REC] 2 is Aliens to Alien, a sequel that ramps up the action but does not defile the spirit of its predecessor. Balagueró and Plaza have proved themselves exciting additions to the gory canon of Euro-horror masters, and they can't wait to drag the Midnight Madness audience into the darkness, screaming at the top of their lungs.
After a young, middle class couple moves into what seems like a typical suburban 'starter' tract house, they become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be somehow demonic but is certainly most active in the middle of the night. Especially when they sleep. Or try to.
Zombieland (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=57753)

Reviews Counted:56 | Fresh:50 | Rotten:6 | Average Rating:7.5/10
Consensus: Wickedly funny and featuring plenty of gore, Zombieland is proof that the zombie subgenre is far from dead.
Some films would be content to strike the perfect mix of comedy and above average zombie effects, but Zombieland adds another dimension with just the right amount of back story for each character. These scenes remind us of the tragedy of their situation, eliciting everything from a chuckle to an awww to a downright yank on your heart strings. The dramatic elements are never overly milked and strike just the right chords, complementing the scenes they piggyback like a snug-fitting puzzle piece.
It’s a joy to watch a film that seems to get everything right, has an audience howling with laughter to the point where you have to struggle to hear the lines that follow a gag, and STILL provides some extra gory eye candy for the horror fan who said, “You had me at Zombie.” The running undead look fantastic and are dispatched in a never-ending, ever-evolving innovative shopping list of carnage. You’ll applaud every crunch. Zombieland is a killer comedy with a vicious sense of humor. It’s the kind of movie where, halfway through, you’ll wish you already owned the DVD. Grab six horror-starved friends and meet me at the movies for opening night. It’s time we made a deserving film #1!
If you were to take Zombieland at name value - ie as a zombie movie - it's one of the weirdest I've ever seen. For one thing, it's completely hopeful. Zombie films are, by their nature, almost always bleak. There may be a glimmer of hope at the end, but usually it feels like a band-aid on a gaping chest wound. Every good zombie movie has a sociopolitical layer, and Zombieland is no different, but this sociopolitical layer is about Obama, and about the end of the recession. This is a movie about making it through the bad times and seeing the other side. That's kind of cool, but I have to admit that it left me a touch disoriented at the finale, because I'm just not used to walking out of zombie films feeling... good.
The chemistry between Eisenberg and Harrelson is so good it's almost obscene. This is a tough relationship to pull off - Tallahassee immediately senses that Columbus is a bitch - but they navigate the waters well, without ever becoming too touchy feelie or even chummy. It's a real relationship that maybe wouldn't happen in the normal world, but in the chaos of Zombieland these two opposites together make perfect sense. Breslin and Stone are good, and Stone particularly has a great sort-of bad girl thing down, but they don't come close to matching the wattage of their male co-stars.

1.Thomas Tull, the head of Legendary, got tired of all the discussion and decided chingate, let's do it. So he went to Goyer and Goyer had an idea that actually takes the movies back to the John Byrne incarnation. Modern. Believable. FUN! So Tull got Goyer hired.
2.The film will not be called Superman and will be called THE MAN OF STEEL.
3.Brandon Routh will not star in the film.
4.Nic Cage will NOT star in the fllm.
5.Bryan Singer is not expected to direct.
Conoces como Mark Millar walks around acting like he was going to write it? El Taco discovered that this was always BULLSHIT. Paul Levitz hated the guy and he was never even discussed to write it. He made all that "almost" stuff up.
I can tell you that Goyer's story involves Luthor and Brainiac. It is NOT an origin and assumes audiences already know about Lois, Clark, Jimmy and Perry. I know the Daily Planet is struggling due to the internet. And I know it sets up a huge Kryptonian mythology.
XCLUSIVE UPDATE: IGN has heard from reliable sources that Tull is downplaying this report. Goyer is in fact on the project, but not only that -- his The Dark Knight co-writer Jonah Nolan will also be scripting Superman: The Man of Steel along with him. Nolan's brother Christopher is expected to only executive-produce, and not direct, the film. That said, he will be "hands-on" as a producer. Since the Superman film is under the gun because of the ongoing legal entanglements involving the property, Warner Bros. wants the pair to get started on their script on the double.
Our sources add that Warners is confident in the early work that Goyer and Jonah Nolan have done so far on Batman 3, and that as a result Superman has now taken on a higher priority status at the studio than it had since Superman Returns was released.
Am I the only non-comicbooker that liked 3?

The film tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).
Cracking conversation is pointless if delivered by a cast of no-hopers, however, and mercifully Kick-Ass features note-perfect performances throughout, both from the seasoned pros and the many fresh faces on display.
[...]
For that very reason, Kick-Ass is as good a superhero movie as has yet been made -- storytelling of the very highest order, crafted by experts who know, love and treat the subject matter with the respect it deserves.
The result is utterly compelling from start-to-finish; an adaptation that perfectly captures the anarchic nature of the comic while at the same time eliciting unexpected emotions from a film about a crime-fighting kid in a wet-suit.
You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll squeal in delight at the outrageous behaviour of a little girl in a purple cape. But most of all, you'll wish that all superhero movies were like this.
I know there must be flaws in Kick-Ass. Maybe when the final score is put over the film it won't have quite the propulsive quality that this temp track gave it. Maybe a second viewing will reveal some cracks in the veneer. All I know is that the moment the film ended I wanted to see it again. It took me a couple of minutes to really get into the movie, but once I was in I was completely sold. Kick-Ass ends with the possibility of more adventures, and I want to see them all. I want to return to this hyper-violent, awesome world and get lost in laughs and sympathetic pain again. Kick-Ass is a movie that will have you on your feet, cheering your fucking guts out.
The expendables sounds awesome just for the cast!

new trailer
http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi4021356313/
Pretty much recreating the surprise of when Cloverfield burst from the shadows with a mysterious trailer before Transformers, it looks as though a new secret project
from JJ Abrams is going to be officially unveiled this Thursday, when Iron Man 2 takes its first bow at midnight screenings.
This is curious enough. There are, however, some other small, teasing details to discuss and they’ve gotten me even more interested.
Note that all of this comes from Drew McWeeny at Hit Fix who, if I read the situation right, was actually considering not posting the story and keeping the trailer secret (see: Twitter). Has he done the wrong thing? Has he undercut the magic a little?
I don’t think so. He certainly hasn’t got any info to share on what is actually in the trailer, or even a hint of what the film might be about. Drew has only given the hype and anticipation a kick-start. Then again, I would say that - look what I do for a living.
Okay, maybe there are some tiny hints of what the film might be about. There’s a title for one thing: Super 8. This might be, I’m thinking, just a code title, though I assumed the same about Cloverfield. And there’s some suggestion of rumours (which rumours? where?) that the film is somehow a Cloverfield sequel.
One theory would be that the film is a Cloverfield prequel - Super 8 home movies being a precursor to the video we associate with the first film. I think that theory is likely wrong, but you never know.
I also wonder if Super 8 is the same thing as 500 Rads, a previously reported secret Abrams project…? Very possibly, I think. How many mystery boxes can one man be prepping?
Since Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass burst onto screens a few weeks ago, speculation has swirled as to whether or not the film performed well enough at the box office to warrant a sequel. A recent press release (via Forces of Geek) for the forthcoming CLiNT magazine, a joint venture between Millar and Titan Magazines, suggests that the sequel to the film, Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall, will begin production in 2011 for a 2012 theatrical release.
CLiNT is a new monthly anthology magazine that Millar is spearheading. “I’ve worked on everything from Spider-Man comics to the Iron Man movie for Marvel in New York,” Millar said in the release, “but what really excites me is the gap I see in the UK market at the moment. There are absolutely no comic-books aimed at 16-30 year old guys and I think CLiNT has potential to make an enormous impact, bringing a new type of magazine to a new generation.” The magazine will feature interviews and write-ups encompassing all forms of entertainment, along with four serialized comic strips.
The press release announcing the magazine’s launch also features this tidbit:
Millar is also launching his sequel to the hit Kick-Ass movie in the first issue of the comic. “Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall” has been scheduled for production in 2011 for a 2012 cinema release

Our sources tell us J.J. Abrams is actually directing this time around, although nothing is confirmed. Earlier today news broke about a top secret trailer for a new J.J. Abrams project entitled Super 8, which would premiere in front of Iron Man 2 this coming weekend. No other details were available at the time. An update at Vulture CONFIRMS that Super 8 is in fact a quasi-prequel to the smash-hit viral monster movie Cloverfield!! "Our sources...say that Super 8 is absolutely connected to 2008's Cloverfield (possibly a prequel, but not a sequel)." They continue with the plot details, which sound awesome. "Insiders familiar with the trailer tell us that it shows a bunch of kids who are shooting a movie with a Super 8 camera in the seventies or eighties. When they develop the film, they notice that there's an alien creature in the frame." OMFG. To put the icing on the cake, this sounds exactly like the Abrams/Steven Spielberg collaboration announced back on April 28th. Did I say OMFG?! Have your say below.
Hired to assassinate a politician, vigilante and ex-Federale Machete (Danny Trejo) nearly dies when a sniper shoots him during the job. Out for revenge, he's joined by a reluctant old buddy (Cheech Marin) who's become a pacifist priest. Written and co-directed by Robert Rodriguez, this homage to exploitation films based on his fake trailer in Grindhouse co-stars Robert De Niro, Michelle Rodriguez, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba and Steven Seagal.

Cloverfield prequel/sequel Trailer before Iron Man 2?
http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/05/04/secret-jj-abrams-film-to-be-unveiled-with-trailer-before-iron-man-2/ (http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/05/04/secret-jj-abrams-film-to-be-unveiled-with-trailer-before-iron-man-2/)QuotePretty much recreating the surprise of when Cloverfield burst from the shadows with a mysterious trailer before Transformers, it looks as though a new secret project
from JJ Abrams is going to be officially unveiled this Thursday, when Iron Man 2 takes its first bow at midnight screenings.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THUNDERCATS, HO!
WARNER BROS. ANIMATION ANSWERS THE CALL WITH A NEW
TAKE ON THE CLASSIC ANIMATED SERIES “THUNDERCATS,”
TO AIR ON CARTOON NETWORK
(June 3, 2010 – Burbank, CA) – Warner Bros. Animation (WBA) has begun production on “ThunderCats,” an all-new animated series for Cartoon Network, based upon the iconic 1980s action classic. “ThunderCats” is the newest series from WBA, joining “Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” which was recently renewed for a third season, and the following forthcoming programs: “The Looney Tunes Show,” “MAD,” “Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated” and “Young Justice.” The announcement was made today by Sam Register, Executive Vice President, Creative Affairs, Warner Bros. Animation.
“In addition to being Warner Bros. Animation’s first anime series, ‘ThunderCats’ marks our most ambitious foray yet into fantasy,” said Register. “The realism and dynamic visual style we’ve achieved are sure to thrill viewers, and the cool weapons, vehicles and technology should help the show appeal to a diverse audience.”
The 21st century reimagining of the series marks a creative collaboration between WBA and Studio4°C, one of the most vibrant animation studios in Japan, with credits including “The Animatrix,” “Gotham Knights” and “Halo Legends.” WBA is working closely with Studio4°C, utilizing the latter’s expertise to give the “ThunderCats” characters a new cutting-edge look while remaining true to the compelling storylines and mythology of the original series.
“We at Studio4°C are excited to be in this creative partnership with Warner Bros. Animation to bring ‘ThunderCats’ to life,” said Eiko Tanaka, President and CEO, Studio4°C. “This collaboration combines the strengths of our two companies – high production values and great storytelling – toward reintroducing this classic fan-favorite to a new audience.”
Roaring to life through WBA and Studio4°C’s use of the Japanese animated artistry of anime, “ThunderCats” characters Lion-O, Mumm-Ra, Panthro, Cheetara and others will spring off the screen with realistic cat-like characteristics inconceivable in previous incarnations.
The new “ThunderCats” will appeal to viewers who have loved the characters all their lives as well as young newcomers to the franchise. A sweeping tale combining swords and science and boasting ferocious battles with the highest of stakes, the grand origin story of Prince Lion-O’s ascension to the throne – and of those who would thwart his destiny at any cost – takes on epic dimensions in this sharp new telling. As the forces of good and evil battle each other in the quest for the fabled Stones of Power, Lion-O and his champions learn valuable lessons of loyalty, honor and mortality in every episode.
“ThunderCats” is executive produced by Sam Register (“Teen Titans,” “Ben 10,” “Batman: The Brave and the Bold”). Michael Jelenic (“Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” “Wonder Woman”) and Ethan Spaulding (“Avatar: The Last Airbender”) are the producers.
I loved the fake trailer from a couple years back. ;D
Did you guys know that the writer for the animated series was murdered: http://ca.kotaku.com/5549990/thundercats-writer-murdered (http://ca.kotaku.com/5549990/thundercats-writer-murdered)
Perry also wrote the 1985 comic book series Time Spirits, which gained renewed interest last winter when similarities (http://io9.com/5427104/avatars-neytiri-has-a-striking-comic-book-twin/gallery/) between it and Avatar were discovered.
The biggest problem with the old batman series is they are so bad (excluding part 1) that there really is no laziness with a reboot, thats really what they should and did.
There is no excuse for Sony's move on Spider-Man (4) :P though, as the original series is good and doesn't need a reboot. Things only need a reboot if they suck and that is the Reason why they didn't reboot Superman with Superman Returns. Although, Superman Returns wasn't Spider-Man 2, Iron Man, or The Dark Knight quality, so a reboot is necessary, but really only a half reboot, i don't need a damn origin story. I just need it to not suck.
From the recent interviews from Nolan, the next Batman movie might also be a Superman movie, Superman would totally make Batman irrelevant, and thats a pretty good angle for a movie. I think Batman is going to end up dying in the next movie :P See, I hear 2 things and the mind goes crazy. Though, even if that path is intriguing theres only a
25% chance of them actually doing it.
An unconnected sequel using the same name for familiarity.
An unconnected sequel using the same name for familiarity.
That is my point. It has nothing to do with the past movies, it is just using the names get try and sucker people into seeing the movie thinking they will be getting a Karate Kid movie. If they called it something else (like "The Kung Fu Kid", which would be more truthful since it is kung fu being taught instead of karate), fewer people would go to see it.
The old cartoon was good when was a kid, it aged like milk left sitting in the sun though.

A spinoff from Nickelodeon's "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is in the works.
The channel said Wednesday the new animated TV series will premiere in 2011. It has the working title, "The Legend of Korra."
Nickelodeon says the series will build on the "mythology" of the original "The Last Airbender" series, which inspired this summer's live-action movie from filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan (SHAH-muh-lahn).
The "Legend of Korra" is from the creator-producers of "Avatar: The Last Airbender."
Nickelodeon executive Brown Johnson says the new series will focus on a teenage girl avatar named Korra. Brown describes her as hotheaded, independent and "ready to take on the world."
"Avatar: The Last Airbender" has ranked among the highest-rate series on the Nickelodeon and Nicktoons channels.
Nickelodeon said in a release that “The Legend of Korra takes place 70 years after the events of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ and follows the adventures of the Avatar after Aang – a passionate, rebellious, and fearless teenaged girl from the Southern Water Tribe named Korra.”
Korra’s quest eventually leads her to Republic City–the epicenter of the world of “Avatar.” A metropolis powered by steampunk-type technology, the city is inhabited by people from all nations. Korra finds thatRepublic City suffers from rampant crime and is also dealing with an anti-bender revolt. Korra is tutored by Aang’s son, Tenzin, is the ways of airbending.

I forgot what its called, but its like No More Heroes! Only instead of killing assassins this kid has to defeat evil ex-boyfriends of some girl. The whole classic video game score boards and point system is all uncluded. For the life of me I can not remember what it is called. But it absolutely HAD to be inspired by No More Heroes.
Edgar Wright: I haven’t told you this yet, but Shigeru Miyamoto (http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Shigeru_Miyamoto)—the Mario creator from Nintendo—has seen part of the film. We had to get his permission to use this piece of music from The Legend of Zelda for that dream sequence. So when I was writing to Nintendo to get permission, I was saying, “This music is like nursery rhymes to a generation.”http://www.wired.com/magazine/2010/06/ff_cerawright/all/1

Looks like it.
Nope, not her. Anyway...
its not Michelle Rodriguez, you can clearly see the girls face, but im not sure who it is even then..it looks like Eva Mendez, there is another actress who looks just like her, but i forget her name.
They're making another Pirates of the Caribbean movie? Three was already too many.
In this mind-warping action thriller, Baby Doll (Emily Browning), a girl slated for lobotomy in a 1950s-era asylum, leads a group of young female inmates in an attempt to escape both their mental fantasy worlds and the actual institution where they are prisoners. To accomplish her plan, Baby Doll must steal five objects -- but is the man who's trying to stop her real, or a figment of her imagination? Zack Snyder (Watchmen) directs.
I am a little reluctant since every movie Michael Cera has been in has sucked IMO. It's like he he stopped being funny after Arrested Development ended. I will likely wait for it to come out on DVD and Netflix it.
We can look forward to "Freddie Mercury" appearing on lots of talk shows (Cohen almost never makes public appearances as himself, he is always playing his current character when he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno as Borat rather than as himself).

I doubt he's going to run around pretending to be Freddie Mercury... did he go on talk shows pretending to be his characters in Talladega Nights or Sweeney Todd?
Is that supposed to bode well?
I was bored out of my mind with Shaun of the Dead, easily one of the worst movies i've ever seen (and easily the worst zombie one). If that is a example of what Edgar Wright does with films, then my interest in Scott Pilgrim just dropped even more.
please name a few, I've seen a lot and SotD is one of the better ones.
Another one off the top of my head that was really good was the Dawn of the Dead remake.
28 Days later was cool and so was the 1980 remake of NotLD.
But SotD was anything but boring and even though it wasn't gut-busting funny, it was still very humorous.

I'm sure many will agree with me when I say "Your opinion in movies sucks".
I feel the same way about Southpark.
Completely bored an unintersted in most episodes unless I'm watching it with someone that enjoys SouthPark, then it's usually very funny.
SotD may be a similar type movie where it helps to be in a good mood, ready to be entertained and it never hurts to watch the movie with someone else that is also likely to enjoy the movie. But that is why I don't usually watch comedies alone, I'll watch horror instead... & SotD is not a horror.
and why hasn't Steve Austin been in a western?
Btw, why do thwy always pick white people to play Cleopatra? I know the ruling class in Egypt were lighter skinned, but the meant they were Middle Eastern looking as opposed to 'typical African' black, just like Jesus...

How will this work with the butchered continuity that they create din X-Men Origins? Deadpool is a great character, but that Wolverine movie sucked so bad that just about every character involved was drug down with it.
But what about Wolverine, and the mess that film made of Wade's origin? While they don't say exactly what happens, it sounds as though Deadpool breaks the fourth wall to let the audience know that he thinks it sucked too. So let's all pretend it never happened.

The Black Dynamite Animated Series further chronicles the exploits of Black Dynamite and his crew. Executive produced by Carl Jones (The Boondocks, Freaknik: The Musical), the series features the voice talents of Michael Jai White, Tommy Davidson, Kym Whitley, Byron Minns, Clifton Powell and JB Smoove.and Bullhorn is back!
The Mirror (via Film School Rejects) spoke to actor/writer Michael Jai White who revealed that he's working on a sequel to the blaxploitation action parody Black Dynamite. White said, "I've had the idea for Black Dynamite 2 for quite a while now, and it's gonna start where Black Dynamite left off . There's lots of things we didn't get a chance to do in the first one." After pimp-slapping the First Lady, what else is there?
White wasn't exactly forthcoming with details, but did say: "You know how Black Dynamite just grows in ridiculousness? Well, this will be a fitting sequel."
A cartoon, and a movie? Oh hell yeah!and a comic book
The movie is being directed by Darren Aronofsky
I suppose that it won't be in continunity with the other X-men movies...either. Wasn't Lady Deathstrike already in X-men 2, or am I misremembering?
Comic book writer-artist Rob Liefeld has taken to Twitter to rip 20th Century Fox, the studio behind the feature film adaptation of his comic Deadpool.
CinemaBlend points out a steady stream of insults hurled by Liefeld at the studio, the reasons for which aren't immediately apparent but obviously Fox did something to piss him off.
Here's a taste of what Liefeld tweeted today:
"Dear FOX studios, get your act together. Deadpool is not Green Lantern, not a family film. DP is "filthy" think Expendables $$ w/ RR"
"Also FOX, find your balls and film the script from Rheese and Wernick. You will make loads of money and thank yourself later."
"It boils down to this, Ryan Reynolds, Mr. Sexiest Man alive paired with best comic script ever written, no-brainer....make Deadpool happen!"
well the first 2 spiderman movies only had 1 villain, unless you count cameos which i don't.
What about 3D detracts from the movie?
I have no links or anything to support this, but I have heard rumors that the new spidey will be set in the ultimate universe. Take that with all the salt you like.

As long as Lex Luthor is not the villain that is awesome. It's about time we get to see Superman punch someone.
I just read about the proposed Superman Lives movie. Producer Jon Peters wanted to ditch the red and blue costume (calling it "faggy") in favor of a black costume, wanted to make Superman not fly, give Lex Luthor a space dog, and have Braniac fight polar bears and have a sidekick that Peters called a "gay R2-D2 with attitude". Ugh, that would have been a disaster.

It looks so deliciously horrible! I love how they try to rationalize the story. ;D
So much for the proposed Mortal Kombat remake that Warner Bros. Pictures had hoped to get off the ground. Still, fans of the bloody battle are in for a treat as Bloody Disgusting learned that director Kevin Tancharoen - who directed the awesome online short - will return behind the camera for a 10-episode web series dedicated to the popular video game. Penned by Tancharoen, Todd Helbing, and Aaron Helbing, star Michael Jai White leads the cast as "Major Jackson 'Jax' Briggs. Shooting will take place in Vancouver this coming February. Contested expected to be cast are: Shang Tsung, Liu Kang, Sub Zero, Durak, Kabal, Kitana/Mileena and of course Scorpion. No release date is planned, and there's no word on that R-rated remake. The only plot details we could conjure up is that a few Earthlings will fight to save the planet from Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung, two Gods ruling over parallel universes, or something to that effect.

The Dark Knight Returns news:
Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle (Catwoman)
Tom Hardy as Bane
http://insidemovies.ew.com/2011/01/19/batman-hathaway-catwoman-hardy-bane-dark-knight-rises/
Regarding Batman. The reason to cast Anne Hathaway is because she is a big star. She's pretty and she can act fine but the reason they are casting her is star power. That is a big problem with blockbuster films. They think about the star-\ power first and the question of whether the person looks or fits the part is secondary. But then when I heard they were casting Heath Ledger as the Joker I thought that was retarded. I figured they cast him entirely because at the time he was hot and had star power. In the end it became an legendary performance that will forever be his most famous role. So you never know. Though hopefully Hathaway's Batman experience ends up better for her then it did for Ledger.
cliff notes - a tire that has the psychic ability to explode living things
Quentin Dupieux directs this inventive twist on low-rent revenge flicks, which follows a car tire named Robert that rolls through the desert Southwest using its strange psychic powers to blow up birds, bunnies, human beings and more. But when Robert spies a gorgeous woman motoring down the highway, he decides to follow her and take a chance on love. This gleefully over-the-top black comedy stars Cecelia Antoinette and Thomas F. Duffy.
There is some debate about whether the pic is real or not, but The Hollywood Reporter says it is. A pic of the cast in X-Men: First Class has surfaced:

I've yet to see Will Smith in anything that wasn't terrible.
I really disagree with your taste in movies. Off the top of my head, I love these Will Smith movies: Men in Black, Men in Black II, Hancock, Ali, Hitch.
and an older movie I'm drawing a blank on where he tricks rich families into letting them into their homes.
I liked Will in Independence Day. He is playing the up and coming guy who has to prove himself, but at least it wasn't a tentpole character for him at that point. I Am Legend throws that character off, which is good. Really, the bad part of that movie was the creatures. Though watching the original Omega Man, I think I prefer the CG ones. And if you haven't, go see Made In America with Whoopi Goldberg and Ted Danson. Its Will's second film and you get to see a glimer of the movie star he is today.

Apparently that Matrix 4 & 5 business is not true.
EXCLUSIVE: Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures have found their new Man of Steel. Henry Cavill has been set to play Clark Kent/Superman in the film that Zack Snyder will direct. Warner Bros is targeting the film for December, 2012 release. Cavill recently wrapped production on The Cold Light of Day and the upcoming Immortals. He has a past with Superman. Before Bryan Singer came on to direct Superman Returns and cast Brandon Routh, Cavill had been one of the frontrunner choices for Brett Ratner and McG before they left the picture. That Superman was younger, and this time, the intention was to cast an actor near 30. Cavill is 27, so things worked out just right for him.
The picture is produced by Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder, with a script by David S. Goyer, based on story by Goyer and Nolan. Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are exec producers. Cavill's repped by CAA.
I liked Taken but a sequel? It's one of those movies where you shouldn't make a sequel.
A new movie I suggest people check it out is Rosedale. It's low budget direct-to-DVD horror/action movie about a cult trying to sacrifice a victim to summon a demon. The victim's only hope is Victor Whiskey, a gun toting badass who specializes in the occult.
One the key reasons I have an interest in this film is that I'm in it! I play the leader of the cult. The film was written and directed by my brother.

I'm looking forward to Game of Thrones, as well as The Borgias on Showtime, which comes out April 3, and Camelot on Starz which debuts April 1.
I've mostly grown tired of what's on 'regular' T.V. With few exception (Fringe) it's all recycled stroylines and plebian drama. The shows on premium T.V (I'm also looking forward to the return of Nurse Jackie, and The United States of Tara) push the envelope with new ideas and relatable drama. Anyway, that's my two cents.
First they came for your brick-and-mortar Blockbusters, then they gunned for your pay cablers, and now they’re making a bid to become their very own network: Netflix has just made a surprising move into original programming by outbidding the likes of HBO and AMC for the rights to House Of Cards, David Fincher’s adaptation of the British book and miniseries of the same name. Acquiring the drama (which, as previously reported, stars Kevin Spacey as a ruthless politician) reportedly cost Netflix an estimated $100 million up front and a commitment to two seasons at 26-episodes—the sort of deal no one’s ever had the guts to make before. Obviously it’s an expensive gamble, but more importantly, it’s one that could herald the tectonic shift from traditional TV networks toward an Internet-based, streaming future should it prove successful. Next up: Netflix handles your dreams.

The only hope we have here is that the country's new money will oppose the old money. You'll see companies like Google and NetFlix & Facebook(who depend upon fast, available broadband) stepping up their political games against the entrenched telecom dinosaurs.
fIDK im back to being interested in Spider-man. Marc Web is too good of a director, and Andrew Garfield is too good of an actor for this to not turn out decent. I heard rumors months back of them taking liberties and moving Daredevil to the UK and having Jason Statham play him, which sounds awesome to me, though I think they're just rumors.
I feel people create entertainment to entertain and to share a creative part of themselves, not to make money.
That is capitalism, and none of the people who create the art would agree with you at all and they would probably hate you for it because you are stealing from them.
When people start playing music and recruit a band together, what's there number 1 objective? To have fun.
No, Radiohead was the exception that proves the rule.
Radiohead was an exception, not the rule.
No, Radiohead was the exception that proves the rule.
Please don't tell me you are naive enough to think that most artists would be willing to give away their work for free? Radiohead hadn't been relevent for years, that was a successful publicity stunt.
I don't know of any painter, who truly loves their craft, who would just give their paintings away for free or for any amount of money for that matter. But I'm sure they'd love for you to appreciate its subtleties up close.

Your syntax is wrong. Giving it away for free and letting people enjoy it for free, are completely different things.

Also, free unicorns for everyone.
For a regular average person this just is not a possibility.
In my view, the subclass of amateur musicians who make music with no expectation of major financial success is larger than ever, given the ubiquity of powerful and fairly cheap music technology. The internet is chock full of musicians who care only about the craft. I think that's awesome, but I also think it's not morally superior or inferior to trying to sell your music.
copyright wars strike another thread.
does someone demand a copyright when music plays in our heads?
THOUGHT CRIMES!!!!
it was written and processed by someone hired to study todays trends and crank out something that will appeal to the masses and make all involved a ton of money.
I wish there was an article to back me up, but my intuition tells me that the cost to release your own album has plummeted and is soon to be negligible.
Quoteit was written and processed by someone hired to study todays trends and crank out something that will appeal to the masses and make all involved a ton of money.
See, that is something I could never imagine doing. When you're going to that kind of calculated effort to craft a hit, how can there be an passion for it? The funny thing is I find it's really easy to tell if a song has commercial value or not. If you love music you know when the chorus should come in and how many bars the intro should be. It's all feel and it just feels right or it doesn't. If you have to study and analyze then you're "faking" it. You should know what you want to hear on the radio and what you want to listen to on your iPod. If you love the art you make then you will also have similar tastes to the audience that loves your work so crafting a "hit" with that audience should be somewhat instinctive.
I didn't think Dexter and Supernatural was new.
ANYWAY ON-TOPIC GUYS YOU KNOW LIKE NEW TV SHOW/MOVIES WE SHOULD KEP AN EYE OUT FOR?
Yeah. Watch Raising Hope. It's pretty damn hilarious.
haha you must be new. The only thread that can't be derailed is the "I Can't Be Derailed (Rail-less)" Thread.
Look up Rebecca Black with her song Friday on ARK music or whatever their name is. They are a company comprised of several 35+ year old men who employ kids between 8-13yrs old to sing the songs that they have written for them. I thnk they had something like 5 or more artist at teh moment and all their videos are up on youtube if you look. They are HORRIBLE and crafted to be sold to other children that don't know any better.
Raising Hope is pretty good, i was trying to ignore it..for fear that if i watched it they would take it off..now what type of damn sense does that make. Damn networks!!! Fucking with my mind.

What the hell did you just make me watch?!?
Pull something like that again and I'm going to smack you with the banhammer. Seriously, that's worse than tubgirl or something.
Darren Aronofsky has announced that he will no longer be directing The Wolverine. He said the reason is that the schedule would have kept him out of the country for almost a year and he did not want to be away from his family for that long. He said he loved the script and was looking forward to working with Hugh Jackman.
It's people like you who are killing network television.
Most costumes look like they came from a halloween store.
I noticed "Mr. Stark.' Iron Man's father, I assume?
In fact, a treatment has already been done to continue the events that take place beyond "X-Men: The Last Stand". Donner says “We took the treatment to Fox and they love it… And X4 leads into X5."
I'm interested to see what the X-Men universe looks like without Cyclops.
I think there should be reboots allowed, what about like Ultimate Spider-man, or the X-Men in Cable's universe, or an alternate take on the Avengers. I think the movies should be like the comics with confusing alternate storylines and multiple origin and death stories.
Oh, and get rid of the outfit...
They did the same thing with 2012 only one was low budget and the other was big hollywood studio.
7 Zwerge is the best Snow White movie. Is that a kid friendly movie?
FALLING SKIES opens in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, the few survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force.
At the center of the series is Tom Mason (Noah Wyle), a Boston history professor whose family has been torn apart. His wife was killed in the initial attack, and one of his three sons has been captured. Determined to get his son back and to ensure the safety of his other two sons, Tom must put his extensive knowledge of military history to the test as one of the leaders of the resistance movement known as the 2nd Mass, because of their location in Boston, Mass. They are constantly trying to gain intelligence about the aliens in order to one day outsmart and overtake them and hopefully rebuild their lives.
Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation) co-stars as Anne Glass, a pediatrician who works with the surviving children to help them cope with the traumatic upheaval in their lives. Will Patton (Armageddon, TNT's Into the West) plays a fierce leader of the resistance, Weaver. The series also stars Drew Roy (Secretariat) as Hal, Tom's oldest son and a growing fighter in the resistance movement; Maxim Knight (Brothers & Sisters) as Matt, Tom's youngest son; Connor Jessup (The Saddle Club) as Ben, Tom's son who was captured by aliens; and Seychelle Gabriel (Weeds) as Lourdes, an orphaned teenager who helps Anne in the group's makeshift medical clinic. Colin Cunningham (Living in Your Car) is John Pope, the leader of an outlaw motorcycle gang and Sarah Carter (Shark) is Margaret, a wary survivor of Pope's gang.
FALLING SKIES focuses on the resilience of the survivors and their determination to maintain their humanity when all else has been destroyed. It is a tale of endurance, commitment and courage in which everyday people are called upon to become heroes. They may be outmatched, outnumbered and outgunned, but nothing can beat the human spirit. Most of all, the series is about the ties that bind people together in the most difficult of circumstances.
The aliens in the series are mighty, mysterious and merciless. They are highly intelligent and use military-like tactics, which makes them an overwhelming force against the 2nd Mass. There are two types of aliens that the human survivors have named Skitters and Mechs. Combining live action and special visual effects, the Skitters have spider-like bodies and incredible strength and agility. The deadly, robotic Mechs stand upright and can shoot bullets from their arms. The aliens control captured children, like Tom's son Ben, through bio-mechanical harnesses but have yet to reveal their ultimate plan for them.
FALLING SKIES is executive-produced by Steven Spielberg, along with DreamWorks Television heads Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank, Graham Yost (Justified, The Pacific) and screenwriter Robert Rodat. Rodat, who earned an Oscar® nomination for his screenplay for Saving Private Ryan, wrote the pilot from an idea he co-conceived with Spielberg. Mark Verheiden (Heroes, Battlestar Galactica) and Greg Beeman (Heroes, Smallville) are co-executive producers. The pilot was directed by Carl Franklin (One False Move, Out of Time).

New Xmen: 1st Class Trailer
http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/x-men-first-class.html
good acting directing can turn a **** script into something amazing.
Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares. Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartaros since the dawn of time and thirst for revenge. In the king's hands, the bow would rain destruction upon mankind and annihilate the Gods. But ancient law dictates the Gods must not intervene in man's conflict. They remain powerless to stop Hyperion...until a peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) comes forth as their only hope. Secretly chosen by Zeus, Theseus must save his people from Hyperion and his hordes...
I have no desire to see that film after the atrocity that was Transformers 2. Michael Bay can suck a fat one. There is no way I'm giving that piece of **** another dollar.
I don't recall there being any monkeys in the series...I thought Monkeys where part of the backstory but Apes won out.
"Rise of the" only looks marginally better than that terrible Tim Burton "Planet of the".
And c'mon, CGI?! No thanks, I'll take the superior makeup from the original film adaptation any day.
Sometimes it's accurate.
How 'bout that Terra Nova show? Also could be called "Avatar 66MYA" because it's the same guy playing the general. I've only seen two dinosaurs in the trailers: Brachiosaurus and Carnotaurus. Now, the latter is my FAVORITE dinosaur of all time. However, I'm disappointed that they're just pulling dinosaurs from every continent and era. If you're going to land in a specific time, you're going to deal with a very specific faunal makeup, sorry.
The Late Jurassic Morrison formation (where Brachiosaurus lives) would've been great. Where Carnotaurus is from? Not so much. There aren't as many dinosaurs there.
And as my friend Matt Wedel said on his blog, he bets money that there will be "others" encroching on the human settlement, some unknown dino-like humanoid creature, or maybe Sleestacks. The thing that REALLY makes me cringe is that they're actually going to make some of their dinosaurs up: some kind of super-raptor called an "Acceleraptor." God, just use Deinonychus!
CG is basically modern stop motion.

Why is making up new species that bad? Aren't there almost certainly tons of species from back then that we don't know about because we haven't found their remains?
Despite what you may have heard, John Witherspoon said "The Boondocks" will be returning for a fourth season!
Before season 3 of "The Boondocks" aired on Adult Swim, there were notices that it would be the cartoon's swan song. And with over-the-top episodes like "The Booty Warrior" and "Pause", which lampooned Tyler Perry, it seemed that show creator, Aaron McGruder, was taking no prisoners since he presumably wasn't coming back.
John Witherspoon, who voices Granddad, was under the same impression.
"They was telling me all the time, for the last six months, that it's not coming back," the comedian said in a recent interview with Huntsville's Hot 103.5. "I talked to Aaron McGruder the other day; it's coming back."
And, according to John, the new season will be bigger and better than ever before. "They're going to do 20 shows this time instead of 15," he revealed.
John's excited to get back in the booth to bring Granddad back to life because of the awesome compensation he got in comparison to the amount of work he actually did.
"I wanted to come back," John admitted. "I was missing that money. That money is good. Easy money!"
John could also be earning a few stacks from a possible fourth installment in the Friday franchise. How likely is it to happen? Find out below! [video at link above]

Jason Bateman seems to be all over the place lately.
It already looks better than Cars 2.
I read that Cars made the most money for Pixar thanks to merchandise. I don't really see why since Cars toys technically should have tons of competition because they're just, well.. cars. There should be tons of other car toys out there unless Hot Wheels went bankrupt. There should also be Transformer toys out the ass since there was even a cartoon before the admittedly not as kid friendly movies. When I was kid if you gave me a car with eyes instead of a car that transformed into a robot I would have been very disappointed.Toy car collectors are a different beast. I didn't know how different till I tried my hand at it. In Hot Wheel alone you have 2 types of cards, Cars could have 3 variety of tires, 2 different paint jobs, Treasure cards, etc... All of these just sort of randomly alotted so you have to hunt them down. Their are events for collectors where it is literally winning the rights to root through an unopenned box of Hot Wheels first. It must be a sealed box to or their will be problems.
Dreamworks is making a new movie called Me and My Shadow that combines 2d animation and 3d animation. In the movie someone's shadow breaks the rules to always follow and takes control. Apparently the real world is all 3d animation while the shadows and the shadow world is all 2d. It sounds like a great idea.
If there's going to be sequel of any Pixar movie, it has to be Incredibles.

Thunder. Thunder. Thundercats. HO! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enQXITlKRgg) According to wiki it starts July 29.Welp, they had me till they got the CGI Mechs muddled into my fairly good animation. Then the sword didn't grow when he called out that made it lose a lot of its impact. Also wish they would have just kept locked step like with the other characters with Cheetara.
Contrary to what we previously thought, it is another origin story... if the trailer is anything to go by.
I'm inclined to believe that if Sam Raimi can't make a good Spider-Man film, then no one can. :P
Too many cooks in the kitchen for number 3 and most of them didn't even know how to cookI'm inclined to believe that if Sam Raimi can't make a good Spider-Man film, then no one can. :P
But he can, he made two of them.

Peter Parker's uncle is killed, not his grandfather.
I guess one of my biggest problems with the second movie was what they did with the Dr. Octopus character, I guess I am influenced by the fact that I grew up on the Fox Spider-Man cartoon rather than the comics.
Ice to meet you.Icy what you did there.
I see Hawkeye but is that the Wasp on the far left?
You right it is probably Black Widow. I honestly in the position that you can't really be the Avengers without Wasp. Though I guess I'm a traditionalist then.I see Hawkeye but is that the Wasp on the far left?
I assumed it was Black Widow on the far left. I don't know what line-up they're going for, but I think we can do without an Ant-Man and Wasp film. I'd rather have Vision, personally.
It's Black Widow, and I don't think she's getting her own film, she was in Iron-Man 2.I doubt she would being attached to Shield.
Whose face is that behind Hulk?I assume Bruce Banner aka The Hulk :P Simply because Tony Stark is behind Iron Man and another version of Cap is behind Captain America.
from all indications the Ant-man film is still happening, but unnattached to the avengers. I trust it will be good because Edgar Wright has been developing it. Hopefully he stays attached to it to completion. That seems like a huge loss.
Really, Ant-Man? He is like a D-list superhero at best. Well, I suppose if it's a good movie people will watch it anyways.I agree that on his own he's down there but, if they're making the movie anyways he should have been with the Avengers.
I agree there, it's the same way you wouldn't make a movie just based on someone like Mr. Terrific but would be fine with him in a Justice League movie.Yeah, Though the DC Universe in general seems to have more Stand Alone heroes. Though where is my Booster Gold or Formerly Known as the Justice League movie :P
After seeing the awesome episode of Justice League Unlimited that focused on him, I am a fan of Booster Gold. That is an awesome episode in an awesome series but, My Personal Favorite is the one with the Flash when he's getting a statue.
Hey, How about that New ThunderCats reboot? It's been pretty good so far, unlike Voltron Force ugh....
...or get worse. I'm glad I wasn't the only one.
It is a pilot so the animation could improve.
I don't get GSN either, yet could somehow watch it...But you don't count for keeping the show on air.
The problem with the show is that it was on GSN to begin with. Seriously, I only randomly found out about it a week ago. Who the heck watches GSN regularly that isn't a blue-haired old lady anyway?Or a foreign restaurant owner.

The first episode, he said, could focus on Buster Bluth, the deeply neurotic brother played by Tony Hale. “The latest joke we have,” Mr. Hurwitz said, “is that it’s Cambridge, Massachusetts, and there’s all these scientists in lab coats and they’re waiting for somebody. Buster comes through the door in a white lab coat – ‘Let’s begin’ – and they say, ‘Oh, no, you don’t get to wear the lab coat. We’re experimenting on you.’”
Avengers trailer is up.Meh.
Looking very good too.

oh yeah i saw that on Reddit, that looks awesome!
Hmm, I would encourage people to stop visiting Reddit based on the content they support.

What content would that be?
They shut down r/jailbait. And it wasn't that they couldn't because of the first amendment, it was that they didn't want to set a precedent of censorship.
They wouldn't be breaking the law by taking down the pictures. A lot of things are subjective. For example, even the law basically says that what is considered porn is subjective.
I should do a version of Snow White, its public domain haha, If i can get it out on DVD around the same time as this i can get some rentors fooled! I hear its cheap as **** to film stuff in Prague.I took a lot of German. I would have loved that.
you know I took a German class entirely on German Fairy tales, we ended up watching lots of old east German films. The East German Red Riding hood is hilarious because the grandma is sniffing ****, which i guess is tobacco but you know she's talking to a random kid in a rabbit suit.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MM1e0eQ7ojY&feature=player_detailpage#t=447s
Which is interesting, because Im almost fluent in German as long as they are only using Fairy Tale language.
I saw the Snow White trailer and was just confused as to how Bella is the "fairest" of them all. Does fair mean pale?
I don't like to brag but darn it my successes are few and far in between. Spielberg is directing a Lincoln movie and I just came back from working with him. It is going to be epic! Well at least the opening scene. So you actually did something in the movie?

The only people left after this will be
Kurt Russel, Michael Jai White, Jackie Chan, Bruce Campbell, Steven Segal & Tony Jaa
you should have thrown out the casting call... I could have made the trip to LA.
and who is Couture?
There are 11 names and 9 faces, but the one Asian looking person looks more like a woman than it does Jet Li
So where is Hemsworth and Jet Li? and who is that chick? and who is Couture?
I am not sure how she qualifies... She has no old school cred, been in **** all action movies of note, she is effectiveky unknown in the western world. Michelle Yeoh (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelle_Yeoh) would have been a far superior pick if you were to pull names out of the hat. Seriously, what is this? Hell, Summer Glau would have been a better pick, at least she has a significant body count.
why havent power rangers moved on to action stars? I think Ill write an action movie just to cast an ex power ranger
I saw Walter Jones in one movie which was called "For love and the Bullet" and he was great in it, but haven't seen anything else or anyone else.
Battle: Los Angeles is Perm's favorite movie.
In this twisted thriller from Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard, five friends arrive at a secluded cabin with clear instructions for their anticipated mountain getaway. But when the rigid rules are broken, punishment is swift -- and everyone will pay. Kristen Connolly, Jesse Williams, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Chris Hemsworth and Brian J. White star with Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford in this surprising spin on a classic horror setup.
Still, it has the worst name ever.
Ahem: The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus(http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n121/avatars_bucket/troy-mclure-1.jpg)
I'm watching it, one of my favorite new shows of the year.
I'm just wondering if they are gonna stick to the game plan and have a new family next season, or are they gonna Heroes it and run this one into the ground?
Delightfully offensive to American sensibilities. Two thumbs up. Double fists.
Moviebob is saying Sherlock Holmes really sucks. This does not please me.
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escape-to-the-movies/5128-The-Adventures-of-Tin-TIn
Stick to the british TV series "Sherlock". Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are considerably better than Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law. Less blow-stuff-up-wowzy and more wit and classy writing.
Ehh...It's honestly just Ok. But believe you me, I'll be at my local IMAX on day 5-13.
As long as it is better than Batman Begins (which was dragged down by the first half being extremely boring), I will see it eventually.
I'm kind of hoping to see the trilogy end with Bane breaking the Bat. ;)
did you see the 6 minute prologue? The trailer seems that much better if you've seen the...

Mmmmmm Anne Hathaway, I approve. Whether she has the acting chops for it remains to be seen, although her sweater puppies have been. At least she isn't a joke like Halley Berry, fucking embarrassing.
eh, actually boob size cycles throughout the menstruation cycle. So chances are when they filmed her boobs in Broke Back mountain she was ovulating. They look good sized in the majority of pictures.

yeah, that has got to be it. it's not like there was 5 years between the movies or anything.
btw this might be the creepiest post ever.
Catwoman is white, I am sick of studios trying to get minority viewers by making white characters black (i.e. Kingpin and Nick Fury).
I'm not racist, I just don't want them changing the race of characters.
Didn't I just say that they did it with secondary characters and that it would be wierd if they did it with a well known main character? especially one that had never been portrayed that way in the source material?
And Shaft wouldn't be Shaft if he was white. The entire series is a blacksploitation. If you change it to a white character it would become a parody and like Donald Glover already pointed out, it would probably be hilarious.

Harry, the film is fantastic with Van Damme turning in an inspired performance... Our final battle is one for the ages. The PG13 rumor is true, but before your readers pass judgement, trust me when I say this film is LARGE in every way and delivers on every level. This movie touches on many emotions which we want to share with the broadest audience possible, BUT, fear not, this Barbeque of Grand scale Ass Bashing will not leave anyone hungry...Sly
Behind Chuck Norris's beard, there is a giant crybaby who doesn't like curse words.
I'm not racist, I just don't want them changing the race of characters.
Did the race of the character change the character in any way other than skin color?
Did finding an actor to fit the part that just so happened to be black ruin the movie for you?
Do you have a problem with either Michael Clark Duncan or Samuel L. Jackson?
Because I think they both did a great job with the roles they've been given.
It's not like they took main characters that are very well known like Spiderman or Wolverine and made such a change because that would be wierd, but they made such a relatively minor change with a secondary character that was portrayed that way in the comics to begin with, so really I don't see the problem other than you don't like the source material they borrowed from.
From writer-executive producer Bryan Fuller ("Pushing Daisies," "Heroes"), THE MUNSTERS is an imaginative reinvention of "The Munsters" as a visually spectacular one-hour drama from Universal Television. Bryan Singer ("X-Men: First Class," "House") is the director of the pilot and an executive producer; John Wirth ("Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles") also is an executive producer.
Iron Sky is one of a new wave of productions, including Artemis Eternal, The Cosmonaut, A Swarm of Angels and RiP!: A Remix Manifesto, produced in collaboration with an on-line community of film enthusiasts, that are creating a new kind of participatory cinema. At Wreck-a-Movie, a collaborative film-making web site, the producers have invited everyone interested in "chipping in" with their ideas and creativity to read the tasks given to the community and to take a shot (write an entry).
I believe there was a trailer for Iron Sky somewhere in this thread before, glad it surfaced again. I had forgotten about it.

How could Community possibly follow up having The Wire's Omar as a professor? With Giancarlo Esposito, aka Gus Fring on Breaking Bad (http://www.vulture.com/2012/02/community.html). If that show gets canceled I personally vow to ban anyone who says anything good about The Big Bang Theory on these forums.
The greatest comedy currently on television, Community, will make its triumphant return to the airwaves Thursday, March 15, at 8 PM!
If that show gets canceled I personally vow to ban anyone who says anything good about The Big Bang Theory on these forums.
The Big Bang Theory is nerd blackface.
Except neither of you explain why you think that.
The IT Crowd trounces The Big Bang Theory.
it's a smart show that doesn't aim all of their jokes at the lowest class.
I think you're watching a different show, because that's exactly what The Big Bang Theory does. That's why they get the ratings they do. It's not a smart show in the slightest; it's a lowest-common-denominator comedy dressed up in nerd culture.
Why am I not surprised TJ loves BBT?
It's funny seeing so much hate, since you are clearly in the minority on the show.
I want to have a rough idea what I'm getting into when I watch.
The River lost me in the second episode.
I'm still gonna check out the 3rd ep, but now I'm looking even less forward to it than I was before.
edit: I just finished ep 3 & 4
I expected more out of this show, but the 4th episode was better than the last 2.
I might finish out the season a few episodes at time, but I'm not a big fan.

Do you realise how big those X Factor/American Idol/reality BS shows are?
And I'd even go so far as to call America's Funniest Videos a reality show, since it's all about user-submitted tapes.
BBT does that as well ironically. Which is fine as long as its the norm. If I go into an episode and there is something for the long term fans to notice, but is self contained own thing I'm ok with that. That's actually a hallmark of a traditional American produced Cartoon compared to a Traditional Japanese produced Cartoon which is very order driven. If a show has a strong continuity where you be easily lost if you don't start from the beginning then doing the oddball episode here and there is ok, but ultimately I think its just a ticking time bomb for a Comedy. It doesn't give the writers enough room to stay funny without starting to muddle there own show.I want to have a rough idea what I'm getting into when I watch.
This is not something you get watching Community. The show's not afraid to go a little crazy and experimental, and adopt a trope for an episode and then never do it again afterward. That's one of the things I love about the show, but I can see how some people wouldn't care for it.
I haven't watched The Good Wife, but I've seen those same comparisons and they've made me interested. That and How I Met Your Mother (which I also haven't watched but have heard good things) are the only non-football and non-late night things I'd have any interest at all in watching on CBS. It saddens me that NBC backing quality shows has been so bad for them in the ratings. You may like How I Met Your Mother. Its on Netflix. I would watch whats on there. Last season and this one are not that good. Though when it first came out I just caught episodes to ogle Alyson Hannigan.
How I met your mother is like a big cock tease. I mean how many times are Ted and Robin gonna hook up?Agree. That's why the last 2 seasons haven't been that great. Everyone stories are really wrapped up and there just stalling. They should have had him meet her 2 seasons ago and been dating at this point.
NBC is in shambles right now. The AV Club posted an article recently about how NBC's ratings were tied with that of Univision. I didn't even know what network Univision was before reading the article. It doesn't matter what they're airing, people are avoiding NBC like rancid dog poop. Meanwhile, CBS is doing so good that the fucking Rob Schneider sitcom is getting 12 million viewers a week, (trouncing the also solid Parks and Rec in the same timeslot) and I don't hear ANYONE arguing that that is any good.
Before writing off the quality of CBS as a whole, I have heard from people I trust and critics that The Good Wife is one of the best shows on TV right now, it just has a terribly unappealing title. Like, I've heard serious comparisons to The Wire and Breaking Bad. I haven't seen it, can anyone confirm/deny?
So let me get this straight... NBC is a disaster, while CBS is doing very well. Where does that leave ABC and Fox?
They should put a laugh track in a hour long drama.
New Avengers trailer is up.

Comedy Central made a deal to air syndicated episodes of Community starting in 2013. (http://ccinsider.comedycentral.com/2012/03/14/community-comes-to-comedy-central-in-2013/?xrs=synd_twitter) This provides an extra source of revenue, and added reason for NBC to keep the show on the air. Six seasons and a movie!

Do you guys remember the scene in Groundhog Day where Bill Murray tells a psychiatrist that he's stuck in a time loop and the psychiatrist tells him that he'll see him tomorrow, leading to Murray putting a pillow over his head and repeatedly punching his pillow-covered face? Yeah, that's my reaction to this "announcement". Seriously, **** you, Michael Bay. Haven't you done enough damage already with Transformers 2 and 3 (yes, I liked the first movie. So sue me)?
I suppose it could be worse...he could be doing Beast Wars Transformers now and ruining one of the few good Transformers series.

Whoo-hoo!Congrats. Thor is as good as it could be with the Source Material. His origin isn't really that great, but before and after it could be a good movie.

No, it isn't. Pretty much every single scene that took place in Midgard was terrible.

Because as far as I know, that is NOT happening here.

Call your local theater and harass them. That's how I got it. :D
Bonus if one of your local theaters is AMC - call the other one, if they compete with AMC, you can tell them how much AMC sucks and how much they rock (which in my case has the bonus of being 100% true).

I've loved most of Peter Jackson's movies (Lord of the Rings Trilogy, his King Kong remake).
Those are his shitty films, though! :P:

Nope.
Only if it's Sean Connery's Bond.Only if it's Darrell Hammond's Sean Connery's Bond.
There were already two superior versions of King Kong before Jackson got around to his half-assed attempt. Three if you count the first half of King Kong vs Godzilla. The movie simply did not need to be made. The fact that it wasn't even half as good as the versions that came before only served to make it that much more pathetic.
Did you seriously just say that the 70's Kong was good? Now I know that you're trolling. It was a decent enough modernization. It was leagues beyond what Peter Jackson did, at least. I know you kids today can't stand any form of media that came before 1982. :P
That's debatable...but probably true. Austin Powers in Goldmember was great because they basically just gave up on trying to tell a story and it was all jokes.Goldmember was terrible precisely because of that. Oh, and all of the needless cameos. The film really should have never been made. :(

Goldmember was horrible. It was nothing but pop culture references and way too many SELF-references.
Community is one of my favorite currently running 30 minutes shows. I'm really happy they decided to not let this be the last season.Chuck was pretty played out the by the last Season and I like Chuck. What they need is a new Chuck like concept. Something that is a fun ride for a few seasons and then move on.
I'm just saying that I wouldn't be surprised if they resurrected Chuck at this point, because the shows they got running now really are all they have. NBC has been hurting, and sadly, it's the only reason Community survives for another season...
COMMUNITY HAS BEEN RENEWED FOR A FOURTH SEASON!!!! (http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/05/10/community-renewed-by-nbc/133476/)
Only 13 episodes, but NBC isn't calling it the final season, so there's a chance it might get more. Six seasons and a movie!
MacFarlane is a funny guy, not doubt. I just think FG is the weakest of the 3 shows he has on Fox in terms of quality.
Who is the idiot that works at NBC?
Here is a new trailer to the coming Bond film, Skyfall.
I can't say I am excited by it. It's got action, but it doesn't feel very Bond at all, very generic.
Someone's going to kill M? *yawn* I want see another good Bond movie before Craig gets too old, is that too much to ask?
i've not seen any of the Craig Bond movies
The animation is done by Japanese studio Polygon Pictures, and the show itself is made by Disney and airs on Disney XD.
I noticed you edited your text before I could quote it, but I was gonna correct your comment on the quality of Korean animation. As I mentioned in another thread, some of the best quality animation is done in South Korea. Including The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Justice League.
You are right, in general the quality of animation was lower in the 1940s. I did look at the videos you posted. As for budgets, there are high budget animated shows and low budget ones. There are also far more cartoons now then there were back then.
Olga Kurylenko? No NOONNO nON NOOoo. Have you seen how ungodly unsexy she is in Hitman?
This stuff nowadays just looks simplified and cheap.
You've never heard of Avatar: The Last Airbender nor it's sequel series, the Legend of Korra? That's...actually quite surprising. Usually even someone remotely familiar with the internet has had some sort of exposure to the shows.
However, considering my age compared to your's, it may not be for you.
A cool, new take on the classic Dark Knight franchise, ‘Beware the Batman’ incorporates Batman’s core characters with a rogues gallery of new villains not previously seen in animated form.
Along with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana, the Dark Knight faces the twisted machinations of Gotham City’s criminal underworld led by the likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie.
Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, this action-packed detective thriller deftly redefines what we have come to know as a “Batman show.” Featuring cutting-edge CGI visuals to match the intricate twists and turns of the narrative, Batman steps out of the shadows and into the spotlight for an entirely new generation of fans.
With WBA’s Sam Register executive producing, and Batman Beyond’s Glen Murakami and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated’s Mitch Watson producing, Beware the Batman, based on characters from DC Comics, is coming soon to Cartoon Network
WHOA HOLY **** NEW TEEN TITANS YESSS
Edit: Ew, they're chibis. Ew, it's completely comedy driven. Ew, it seems like it won't even try to continue the original series. God dammit. I wouldn't exactly call this good news. You can bet that I'll watch it, but you can also but I'll hate it with a passion.
With the new Teen Titans Go! news, comes news of the new Batman series.
For all those who gave Brave and the Bold a hard time, **** you.
Does anyone here like Young Justice? I was kind of 'meh' on it during the first season (aside from the finale), but the recent episodes have had a few unexpected plot twists that have been pretty great.I watched all of the first season and haven't gotten to the second one yet. I thought the first season was ok. Though I wish they would have used a different Robin then Dick Grayson because that one doesn't feel like him and having Nightwing would have played well with the themes of the show.
You know - TAS was good. Great, even... but I think there's a lot of Nostalgia glossing over many of the... horrible episodes. There's the one with the Oliver Twist-style guy lives in the sewer with a bunch of kids. There's the one where you've got the three rich kids stealing for fun. The scammy prophecy guy. Anything with the Penguin - notably, the one with Batman in my basement... and the Mechanic episode that seems more fan-fiction than anything. Catwoman loses her kitty. Catwoman turns into an actual furry. Oh, let's not forget the "farmer makes giant crickets" episode...Here is the crux of the American Cartoon philosophy and the Asian Cartoon philosophy. American you either have no overarching story and just one shots or you have a continual story going on but all episodes can be watched alone and still being enjoyed. Asian you tend to have continual story arcs that will lose people just randomly jumping in. Asian Cartoon in general have a good average quality. American cartoon there really isn't a median that most cartoons hit. Your either good or bad. Personally I prefer when the American style really hits its stride, Justice League be a great example (Most episodes can be watched alone, but there is an overarching story for the fans to follow.) Asian I have to sit and watch the whole thing in an order and I can't just pop to episodes an average. This makes them in essence a lot like watching a long movie. Part of this comes from where each form roots are. Asian Manga. American Comic Books.
As for Young Justice... it's pretty darn good. The second season really takes off and I love the fact that we're getting some second stingers in here. The latest plot twist revealed in last week's episode was pretty amazing.
I'm torn, really. I like the fact that shows like Green Lantern and Young Justice have a continuing story line with character development. But I also like B:TAS and B:TBATB for the fact that you can jump in to just about any episode and not miss a beat.

Caught up a little on it, and I agree about the Robin thing. The one they used had that almost fanboyish love for Batman that you see more with Tim than Dick. I actually thought it was Tim until the time jump. In retrospect, the time jump could've forced them to introduce Damian in to the continuity, which complicates things a bit.
Now, if WB wanted to be awesome, they should have released a "Best of Batman" collection that had, say, some TAS, some Batman Beyond, some B:TBATB, some of The Batman, an episode or two of the old Live Action series, maybe some Super Friends or such... The collection we got should have been named "The Best of Batman: The Animated Series"...
Also, B:TBATB Complete Season 3 came out this week. Yay. This has a "bonus episode" featuring the "Birds of Prey" singing about Aquaman's tiny penis that went unaired on US Television.

It just doesn't give a ****. If it's funny or crazy it goes in. I mean where else are you going to see Superman's Superdickery in animated form? While focusing on Batman did constrain them a bit, I think it was done out of practical reasons. I would imagine having to recast each episode without some "Core" characters to streamline things would have been a logistical nightmare.
I loved Judge Dredd, and I thought Sylvester Stallone had the right chin for the job. Rob Schneider on the other hand, could have stayed away. Makes me wonder if he and Sly slept together after they had their collection of 90s B-grade scifi flicks (I love Demolition Man too).
This is the new Dredd:

Rob Schneider? The same guy who did those terrible "comedy" movies years ago (Deuce Bigalow, The Animal, The Hot Chick, etc.)? He's the guy that always had cameos in Adam Sandler movies, right?
He is playing Judge Dredd?!?!
The first Deuce Bigalow was pretty funny, as was The Benchwarmers, and The Animal wasn't too bad.
Talledega nights wasn't too bad. That movie was surreal as hell.
I always hated Will Ferrel more.
Has anyone seen Terriers? There's only one season, it's on Netflix, and I had heard good things.
Just saw the Grey. Anyone here see that film? I thought it was pretty intense.
How was it stupid?
Just saw the Grey. Anyone here see that film? I thought it was pretty intense.
It was shot well enough, but was otherwise terribly, terribly stupid. Predictability must have been the order of the day with the two or three "reveals" toward the end. Wolves don't act like that, period. People are actually effected by wounds they take mere moments before. Hypothermia and exposure are things that exist. Oil workers that senselessly kill wolves are not to be pitied.
I'm feel sorry for those of us who waste our time watching the film. :(

Hahaha and why did he have metal nipples?
Also, why did Batman have a gun at one point?
the original question isn't so much that why does batman have nipples as much as why doesn't he?
In the drawings of all superheroes the just look like they have their designs painted on their skin. So it looks like their missing nipples. Many times even shirtless superheroes don't have nipples.
Err, no. Rachel Nichols is in it so I will look out for it if and when it pops up here. Had a LOL moment when the first review on IMDB was titled: If Ayn Rand wrote SciFi, this would be it. To be honest, I read the review and this show might not be my cup of tea considering I find the political undertones utterly repugnant.
Batman should get a pass on not having nipples since he's wearing armor. Superman on the hand...Kryptonian. It hasn't been proven that the males retain nipples.
If it has Shia Leboooof it can't be that good.
