Ashley is actually one of the most popular characters in the 'Made in Wario' series in Japan. In fact I wouldn't be surprised to find out that she is the second most popular. When she was introduced in 'Sawaru Made in Wario', Japan went crazy for her (so did a lot of people in the US too =P).

Ashley was actually more prominent than Mona in advertising for Smooth Moves, too, I believe...I'd take either Mona or Ashley, but I would definitely lean more towards Ashley... ^_^

Ashley is my #2 most wanted new character, can't wait for it to be true. Not the only 3 new character part though

If that's true then what I predicted is accurate , but like S_B said nothing's solid until we get scans.

News is sounding fake, as the source claimed he spoke with the owner of Serebii himself, when apparently he wasn't online at the time...Uh oh... =)

(Meanwhile, the source still claims that he is telling the truth...Where are the bloody scans so we can be done with this? *sigh*)

Yeah, which is just idiotic because if someone is going to fake something, this wouldn't be terribly imaginative.

If I were going to pull something like this, I'd have to claim something absolutely insane, like that the Duck Hunt Dog, Master Chief and a fighting DS stylus were all confirmed as playable.

Well it does make more sense to make up something more believable if you are trying to fool people, but then again what's the fun in toeing the line?

Ashley's Manor is an odd choice for a made-up stage, though...

It is, but supposedly the source of the info was lying, since the guy who claims to have spoken to him would have been asleep at the time of the info being passed.

If I were the one making up info, I would have done at least one unbelievable/shocking announcement like Megaman being in Brawl.

There is just nothing earth shattering on the list.
- Capt. Falcon and Luigi return. This was a given.
- Port Town, Makes sence if we get a new F-Zero level. It's one of the major 3 (the other two being Big Blue and Mute City) also its near Capt. Falcon's home.
- Meta-Ridley, We figured Ridley would be in it. And Meta-Ridley offers the easies way to have Ridley scalable since he's pretty much a robot at this point.
- Luigi using Poultergust 3000, I figured this as well since Mario has Fludd.
- Fountain of Dreams. Classic Stage, figured it would be back as well.

Ashley's Manor is the only one that was "out there" but with the fact that they put a lot of effort in her theme by doing it in different languages, I've been having a good feeling she'll be in it.

1. Luigi is still unconfirmed

2. Luigi can still be a Mario clone. The Portelgust could easily be his down-B attack and be similar to Mario's FLUDD

The previous information definitely seems to have been fake.

It was posted by some guy on the SSB forums who claims to know a guy who a lot of other people definitely know and agree that all of the alleged AIM chats are total BS.

At this point, we can safely assume that absolutely no new information had been revealed.

Doesn't every fighter need at least two slightly different main characters that are both average and play slightly differently?

I'm guessing that Luigi is still the Ken of the series... like Mario, but a bit different (vacuum sucks instead of pushing away... fireballs don't drop.... etc)

Providing my sources are accurate (everything they've told me has turned out true so far), there are characters that have not made the transition from Melee to Brawl, and not all of them were clones in Melee

I'd say Ness and Mewtwo are the non-clones most in danger at this point, though I guess Jigglypuff, Game & Watch, and Marth aren't totally in the clear either...

The director of Twilight Princess confirmed through a magazine interview that he was working on Sheik and Ganondorf's appearance in Brawl. Considering that Brawl is looking like it will feature more bad guy presence it would be stupid of them to ax Ganondorf.

I was looking over the Melee list and got to thinking about how Ness and Roy were pretty much just both axed (I think its unlikely Roy is coming back)

I think Ness and Roy were just updated to the newest version, Just like how Link and Mario are always updated to their newest looks I think thats what happen to both Roy and Ness. Had Mother3 actually come out before Melee Lucas would have been added then. And In Melee Roy represented the newest version of Fire Emblem and now we have Ike.

It's just a theory. But this could be what happens to some of the cast from the original and Melee. I don't know who else this could happen to.
