RE: Official Smash Bros. Dojo Update Discussion - Take THAT, Kart Racer!
« Reply #2725 on: December 12, 2007, 06:20:55 PM »
I'm glad they kept this stationary, as it gives the stage a more unique feel...The catch for this stage is the Kart racers, and you can keep tabs on them by watching the screen in the background...If only the racers used items...

who says they do not, for instance the Yoshi’s Island update did not mention the chain chomps that were on the stage at E for All, granted they could have added the chain chomps after the update but they also could have just held back that knowledge as a surprise.

I was merely speaking hypothetically...It'd be quite lovely if that were the case... =)

Meeeeh, just noticed this post...I kinda take offense to this, because it implies I like things just because they are Nintendo, regardless of quality...I will never, EVER, make a post lauding something I dislike or am not interested in, no matter if it's Nintendo-related or not...(When it comes to SmashDates, I simply just don't post in this thread if I'm not interested in the update...)

I love this stage.  It is really quite fun.  You have racers interrupting the battle from two different directions, and really give the level a fantastic feel.  I can't wait  to play this level with my friends.

No No No....you mistook what I was saying. I meant that you almost always find the good in everything Nintendo does, even if the majority was bad; and the songs were a perfect example of that. I didn't mean for you to take offense by that. Maybe the "Ultimate Nintendo Fan Boy" was a bit much, but how would you describe yourself?

Nooooo! =(

Back on topic, it appears that there is 30 pages of info that will be in CoroCoro, most of which will probably be old info, of course...Still, 30 pages is quite a lot for nothing new to pop up in...

When does it release?

30 pages is a hell of a lot. Then again, character profiles and stages could take up a very hefty portion of that. So who knows?

I don't know...Ideally, if I was the editor I would make sure that half of those 30 pages is filled with brand new info, stuff that the blog hasn't already talked about. It would ensure that many copies are sold on day one. But, I have the gut feeling they'll just reprint the same info available on the blog and maybe add some small new info.

Magazines can be like that sometimes. And before I get the flame treatment again, I'm just saying to not get your hopes up as it could be just a reprint of the information already seen on the blog.

True, but even the smallest bit of new information is still, new information.  Especially if it involves a picture of a character or stage we haven't seen before.

As long as it isn't information about how to insert the game on the Wii I am fine with it .

I DO expect at least one character reveal, even if its a veteran character. The magazine must have at least something that will make it worth something.

Well since there's 30 pages I'd imagine they'll go into detail about the characters shown so far.  If this is the case then when they get to Zelda I'm sure they'll have to say something about Sheik.  Since Sheik is part of Zelda I'd imagine that Coro Coro would be allowed finally reveal her.  With the game close to a month away I don't see why Nintendo would have any trouble with Sheik being revealed now.

Of course, if Sheik is going to be the only character shown in Coro Coro that we haven't seen yet, I get the feeling Sakurai will end up showing her in tomarrows update just to make sure nothing Coro Coro reveals is new then.

Capt. Falcon is revealed to be in the game along with Ridley and Luigi. Ridley is in his Meta-Ridley form and is shown in one shot with Bowser and Dedede and another shot vs. Samus in which he is holding a Home-Run bat. They are the only 3 "new" characters shown and anyone expecting anything else is going to be disapointed.

Also, there are screenshots of what looks to be an F-Zero stage called "Port Town". I've never played the F-Zero games so I'm not sure of its importance. Also, the stage in the E 4 All video is shown again and revealed to be "Ashley Manor". I take it that's Ashley's house from WarioWare?  Joe also said there is also a picture of what looks to be "Fountain of Dreams". I'm assuming that a Past Stage like Temple is.

Finally, another picture is shown with the Star Rod and one with Luigi using his Poultergust 3000. It could be his down B or it could be a new item, Joe said he wasn't sure.

Magazines have a tendency to reprint info that was already known on the internet so the odds of new info are slim.

EDIT: Never mind. If this info is legit, then Cap will be crapping himself before long.

ASHLEY!!!!?!?!?!?!?

I really hope it is Ashley's Manor and not a mis-labeled Luigi's Mansion.
