-Fire Emblem has two parts (false)

Umm... what does that mean? They say 2 parts as in there are 2 games? Because the Wii version is just that, part 2 of Fire Emblem POR. Now if they're saying FE10 is split into two parts, I agree, it's false. Fire Emblem is actually split into 4 parts.

I'm not 100% sure what was meant by "2 parts", but I didn't see anything where it was released as a Part 1 & Part 2 so I marked it as false. If you interpret it some other way that makes more sense, please explain and I will gladly change it.

If I remember right, the rumor said that it would be two parts in that it would include the original gamecube game as the first part since they're connected, right? Ol' Sothie-boy and what's-her-face... then it would continue with the next game. Hence, two parts. I'm 99% sure it turned out to be false... I mean, the game's been out in Japan for awhile, right?

It's simple. The game is split into 4 parts. Each part focuses on a different main character. The final part unites all the forces together into one.

so that would still make it false since FE is 4 parts right?
Or is there 2 parts coming to Wii? Cause I've only seen one FE game so far.

That is correct. It's still false. When it was revealed the game would have 2 parts, that was kind of correct, but it turned out to have far more than just 2 parts. The 2 parts was partly true.

-Sega to make a game that will have you "shaking to beats" this year <Samba De Amigo?> (waiting for E3...)

Well... according to a NeoGAF member he was looking through the Gamestop release list today and Samba De Amigo was listed as a 2008 release for the Wii.

this image was created in celebration should this rumor actually come true.

p.s. These release list have been pretty accurate in the past, and since this rumor does make sense, that actually likens the chances that its not gonna happen

Rumor has it that this game has been officially announced through Nintendo Power (and everyone says they never have exclusives)

Here is the supposed text from the latest magazine
Quote

“Long before Guitar Hero took the world by storm, cult classic Samba de Amigo (For Dreamcast and arcades) was helping gamers connect with the inner musicians. Players would shake a pair of plastic maracas (and occasionally strike a pose) as a sombero-wearing monkey and other bits of assorted madness danced around the screen. If that sounds like a perfect fit for Wii, Sega agrees; the publisher will bring a new installment in the series to Nintendo’s console sometime next year. Detailes are scarse, but you’ll shake the Wii remote and nunchuk as you would the maracas (naturally), and the soundtrack will feature a mix of new and classic tunes. Surprisingly, the developer on the title is Gearbox Software, best known for its work on the acclaimed Brothers in Arms franchise.â€

NiGHTS - check
Samba de Amigo - check

Panzer Dragoon - NO
Lightgun games - NO
Arcade racers - NO

I especially want Panzer Dragoon - even though Sega has deteriorated badly in the last few years, PD Orta still got great reviews across the board for Xbox, and it would be amazing with the Wii controller.

Time to add the rumor of Viva Pinata: Party Animals heading to the Wii. (Via the 1Up Quarterman)

I'd much rather see the original or even an update to the original than another party game. But if there is connectivity between the DS version and the Wii then maybe it could have some interesting ideas.

I think its a slim to none chance of seeing Viva Pinata on the Wii in any form. Its Microsoft's attempt to woo the casual gamer. Though displaying the Microsoft logo in front of the Wii's casual audience could be a sneak attack that works in their favor.

I could see it happening. Sony is still MS's real enemy as they're competing for the traditional market with similar consoles. The Wii, on the other hand, is in a whole other universe. Almost as much so as the DS which MS had no problem with Rare developing for. Besides, MS just cares about making money, and if it thinks a quick port of Viva on the Wii will actually earn it some profit from the bad deal it made so many years ago when it paid a mint for Rare, it will happen.

I have cleared my mind for a day on the subject of Viva Pinata, and I think it might actually be a good idea.

On the one hand, I believe Microsoft is being very naive if they don't consider Wii to be part of the competition.  On the other hand, it's too late now to really compete with Wii on Wii terms...360 is never going to be a serious competitor to Wii, so instead why not try to harness it as an advertising tool?  In the short run it might dissuade a few old-time Rare fans like myself from buying a 360, but in the long run it could really expand Viva Pinata's brand awareness.  How many times have we argued that this game would sell way better on Wii?

Which brings up one more point - it could be a real goldmine for MS Game Studios.  How's that profitability coming, guys?
That's my opinion, not yours.

RumorReporter.com is suggesting that the "big announcement" on G4's Attack Of The Show tomorrow night could be an in-studio appearance by Reggie to deliver the promised Wii September Surprise, or a G4-exclusive announcement of the 40GB PS3.

I personally, think it will be neither as they are touting this announcement as something that will effect the future of G4.

I thought it was supposed to be the biggest announcement in G4 history. It could be videogames related, but either way, it probably won't be that earth shattering since they're hyping it up so much.

Maybe the big news is that they are shutting down, and no one has to suffer that nonsense anymore.

In fact, I will be disappointed if this is not the announcement.

If they could take Uwe Boll with 'em, that'd be great too.

It's not like Comcast to just give up (they own G4). I think another format change might be in the works (and probably a renaming). Comcast wants to compete directly with Viacom (Spike, MTV, VH-1, etc.)

I caught a few minutes of AoTS last night at the end, Olivia Munn delivered a hint, which to me sounds very likely to be indicative of a Wii announcement tonight...

She said something along the lines of: "This will be something that all of America will enjoy, even my grandmother." Which, to me, falls into Nintendo's broad demo that the Wii is attracting.

It's Olivia announcing that she's going to do porn. The only format change that would be good, would be to dump all of the G4 douchebags, and make it TechTV again, which was a much, much better channel.
