I hope it's more than just a special item you can only get once in a while, those suits in SMB3 were pretty pointless.

If by pointless you mean awesome, then yes.

You know it looks good until I saw a d-pad with up on the door.  What do the think I am stupid.  I have the eerie feeling that the game will insult my intelligence alot.  Which would greatly undermined me.  Know a d-pad appearing with up after I've stood there a second confused.  Ok that would fine.  But it's part of the door.  Ah....

I can't tell if you're serious over the internet.

If you are, I'll paint arrows around all the doorknobs in your path to show which way to turn them.

PaLaDiN, bless your heart, your going to paint door knobs for me?  I insist that the color be Bright Green so I know subconsciously that it will allow me to leave.

Oh and I'm very excited about the return of Flower power.  I also like to know what the back story is about Mario Kong.  And wasn't Luigi with Mario in the earlier screens?  Not that I'm complaining.

Sure, but I don't think they insult Ceric's intelligence enough. I should add neon and glitter and lots of arrows and signs everywhere. Have cute little mascot characters portraying the correct action. Hell, I don't know, hire people to walk him through the motions.

If possible, I'd add a video screen to each door with really slow scrolling text and lots of random noises and bright colors to hold your attention where you have to press a button after every sentence and watch the whole thing to open each door.

"Hey! Ceric! Hey! PAY ATTENTION, this is important. (Press button to continue.)
How to turn this doorknob: (Press button to continue.)
Extend your arm by straightening your elbow. (Press button to continue.)
Fun fact: did you know this is only possible because of the muscles and tendons in your arm? (Press button to continue.)
If your hand is closed, open it by uncurling your fingers. (Press button to continue.)
Raise your arm in the direction of the door. (Press button to continue.)
Keep your arm raised. (Press button to continue.)
Maneuver arm and body if needed so that your palm touches the doorknob. (Press button to continue.)
Hint: The doorknob is a protrusion that can easily be used to open doors. Look for it at the right or left side of the door. (Press button to continue.)
Be strong! You're almost there, Ceric! (Press button to continue.)
Close your hand, curling your fingers around the doorknob. (Press button to continue.)
Turn your hand at the wrist (where your hand ends and joins the rest of your arm) in the direction of the Bright Green arrow. (Press button to continue.)
Keeping your hand at that angle, step forward. (Press button to continue.)
While stepping forward, push the door gently. (Press button to continue.)
Walk through the doorway. (Press button to continue.)
Proceed to "closing door" video on the other side of the door. (Press button to continue.)"

"Hey! Ceric! Hey! I'm on the other side of this door! (Press button to continue.)"
etc.

Of course, this raises the question of how he would press the button while using his arm. I would probably have to teach him how to use both arms at the same time first. Or maybe use voice recognition instead, so he just says "Okay!" to go on.

"You don't sound cheerful, Ceric. Is something wrong?"

I'm done.

My life goal of becoming Link is one step closer.  I will have the ability of Link and the knowledge of Brain Age and the technology of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

I am wondering how many worlds Matt's been through.  I am assuming he means 10 straight levels.

So is anyone able to answer some of the questions thats stuck on NSMB now?

Is there 2 player cooperative at all? Simeltaneous? Alternating?
Play as Luigi, a code? A switch?
Race mode, is it gone? Collect the stars the only 2 player mode?

9.5 is incredibly disappointing for a huge game like this. Sounds like a rental at best, too bad you can't rent DS games around here. PASS

We can only hope Nintendo's lack of effort here means Super Mario Wii is the game getting all the attention.

Alright I read a line or two of the review and it seems like it might as well be a 10, the things they complain about dont bother me at all. Too short? It's a freaking Mario platformer.

Luckily E3 happens before the game is launched next week, so that should divert my attention to not watch anymore footage of the game and so I won't get spoiled.

So IGN gave it a 9.5? The game might be short but I bet it has alot of replayability.

Im going to make three new threads and an unofficial editorial about it, you cant stop me.

I just think its funny, its like Nintendo is admiting they have milked the Mario name to death and had to put "new" in the title so people take notice. Real Mario games arent that much as opposed to party and sports games, so I dont see the need to do it, but all is good as long as the game is awesome, and it seems it is. Id really like something crazy like the FLUDD again, but it doesnt seem this is the case, is a very "traditional" mario for lack of a better word. Im fine with the length also, portable games when too long cant be enjoyed in quick 10 minutes sessions which is how they are supposed to be played given you play them in lines or lunch break.
