In response to within the 1st 10 minutes of the episode 85 podcast this week, I do know what some tournaments will indeed be using for sure. I work at GameStop and my managers told me that we're having a tournament at my store the night of the release and its a huge series of tournaments that ends in California for a national competition. I instinctively asked what control style will be used and he very surely said the Wii-mote and nunchuck style and even showed me the paper saying it cause I didn't believe it and thought they'd use the gamecube controllers since it was such a new game that no one would know how to play initially, but nope, it shall indeed by wii-mote and nunchuck style.

I feel for you. My xbox 360 Pro broke last week, it took a week to get the box, I sent it back the day I got the box which was this last tuesday and it just got into texas this morning and its sitting in san antonio texas right now...you'd think it could from houston to mcallas texas or wherever in less than 1 day...not to mention the 3-4 weeks I have to wait to get it back.

What about the FPS Freek that's coming out soon on the 360? Its supposed to be an extender for the analog stick so you can aim more precisely in FPS's. What do you think of that?

I don't know if I can agree with all of that. I think adding the open world aspect to the game made it worth getting for me. I haven't felt restricted by the invincible fences, sure they're there and it would be nice to get through some if not most of them, but before you said anything I hadn't really thought of it. I will admit that no instant restarting is a big drawback, however, I believe that they didn't put it in the game because of the open world aspect. It wouldn't make much sense tele-porting back to the start when you can always drive back, but of course Need for speed has been doing it since at least what? Most Wanted? So even that doesn't make much sense. So, yes its a pretty big problem. Showtime mode is good for me, but you're right its not good for crash mode going away. The soundtrack is abysmal. The second I heard Avril Lavigne - Girlfriend, I immediately said, "what the heck?!?", freaked out for about a minute, and then turned the soundtrack off and started my own music. My only real complaint in the game I had before reading all this was that DJ Atomica needs to stop saying who he is. We know. We know...But all in all I think its a great game. I'd give it a 7 out of 10.

I've found that if you keep the batteries out of the controller while your NOT playing with them, the batteries last about 30-40 hours.
That's my solution.
