Here's a game that lets you carry bombs and get away with it.
Bomberman returns to the Nintendo DS, this time as a downloadable DSiWare game called Bomberman Blitz. The focus is once again on frantic multiplayer action for up to eight players, with players now able to battle against anyone in the world thanks to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support.
For those new to the series, Bomberman Blitz will offer an extensive tutorial mode that will help them learn the ropes of the classic franchise. As in previous DS Bomberman titles, the action takes place across both screens, creating larger arenas and more opportunities to develop strategies. There will be 10 arenas for multiplayer battles.
Customization will also play a key role in Bomberman Blitz. Everything from the size of the arena to which items will spawn will be available for players to modify. Item selection always plays a big role in determining which strategies players employ, and Hudson has decided to stick with classic Bomberman items, so longtime fans will be able to grasp Blitz's gameplay quickly and easily. Some of these power-up items include the Red Flame (which expands the length of your blast), and the Curse power-up (which creates a random negative effect on other players).
Bomberman Blitz will be blowing players away by the end of the year.
