The commercial that will air in Japan for Luigi's Mansion is now online. The commercial reveals some cool, new footage! UPDATE: Link fixed.

For those of you with a broadband connection or a great deal of patience, click the link above to download the movie (in MPEG format). For all of you 56kers out there, here's a run down of the commercial.

The first sequence (entirely FMV) starts at the foot of a stone path leading up the mansion, which is currently covered in darkness. Close to the ground, the camera quickly approached the mansion to reveal... it's made up entirely of GameCube's! Looks like Nintendo has a pattern going, as the Wave Race commercial featured an ocean of Cube's.

After the obligatory close up of a random GameCube, the commercial then cuts to a few real time cut scenes, one of Luigi screaming, and the other of our friendly plumber cautiously opening the front door. Both convey the excellent sense of emotion that the final product will no doubt feature.

Here comes the interesting part. For the next 8-9 seconds, various clips of gameplay are edited in. Notables include Luigi walking through a beautifully rendered forest, featuring bare trees that look like they'd been taken right out of 'A Nightmare Before Christmas'.

A few seconds later, a scene features Luigi in the entrance of the house where the E3 demo began. Notably, the full length mirror is covered by a rag (which Luigi begins to pull off with his vacuum in the commercial), and the main, double door facing opposite the entrance is sealed with some sort of metallic gate, that almost looks like a steel spider web.

Through the cracks of the door, you can see a pulsating purple light systematically shine through. Near the end, another real time cutscene is shown, featuring Luigi shaking his knees as he stands on top of what looks to be a giant bed in some parallel universe.

Finally the date and price for the game is show against a silhouette of the mansion, and then the custom animation of the GameCube being picked up by a hand is shown.
