The new system and game cash in during their first weekend.

Enterbrain has reported that Nintendo has sold 193,441 3DS LL systems in its first weekend on sale in Japan. The 3DS revision was released on a Saturday, with the figures only representing units sold on July 28 and July 29.

Meanwhile, New Super Mario Bros. 2 sold 430,185 units in the same timeframe. These numbers do not account for the downloadable version of the game.

The sales numbers for the whole week will be released later this week.

3DS "LL" ? I would be surprised to see such a typo - if this site didn't have Nintendo in it's name...  :P:

Or are they calling it LL in Japan and XL in the US/Euro? (in which case I am going to feel silly)

It's LL in Japan.

And you guys wonder why they keep making these games.

Apologies for the confusion, but LL is technically the correct term as that's what it's called in Japan. So I went with that during editing.

Thanks for the response. I had a feeling the authors here knew what they were talking about, but it was the first time I have even heard the name "LL" used. I wonder why the change from LL to XL in different regions?

It's related to shirt size naming in different regions.
