The world's most famous robotic cat will make a 3DS appearance this spring.
The 3DS in Japan will be receiving a new Doraemon game based on the upcoming feature film.
Titled Doraemon: Nobita and the Island of Miracles -- Animal Adventure, the game follows the storyline of the feature film as players partake in the events via mini-games. The game will feature seven mini-games, which will be unlocked for free play once they have been encountered and completed in the game's story mode.
The game will make use of the 3DS's gyro controls where players use it to take pictures of animals within the game's world. The pictures can then be viewed in a guidebook, which will include further information. Developed by Furyu, the game will be released in Japan on March 1. The feature film that inspired the game will be released on March 3.
