Nintendo Australia Holds Mario Kart Wii Event

Nintendo Australia is hosting an event that will give Nintendo fans the chance to come and compete at Mario Kart Wii. Not only that, but a few lucky guests might be lucky enough to be featured in an upcoming commercial for the game.

All that is required to enter is turn up at either of the following locations from April 9 - April 17.

Melbourne
The Nintendo Experience at EB Games 
67 Swanston Street
Melbourne, Victoria

Sydney 
EB Games
Broadway 76 – 81 Bay Street
Ultimo, New South Wales

The camera crews will be filming the action between 10:00am - 5:00 pm everyday. For the best chance to make the final cut of the commercial, make sure to bring a group of friends.

Race Your Way Into Nintendo's next Mario Kart Wii TV Commercial

Want to show off your Mario KartTM Wii moves? For the first time, Nintendo are offering fans the chance to do just that and appear in the next Mario Kart Wii TV Commercial!

All you have to do is grab your family and friends and get down to one of two locations in Melbourne and Sydney from 9 – 17 April 2011. So what are you waiting for!

Our camera crews will be filming the Mario Kart Wii action everyday between 10:00am – 5:00pm, so simply get practising, come along and play and we’ll capture the fun! For your best chance to make the cut in the final TV commercial, make sure to bring a group of four down to participate in the fun.

Up to four players can get together and challenge each other by racing through a variety of tracks. why would they be making a commercial for the game years after it was released?

If you marketing it, they will buy.

If you keep marketing it, they will keep buying it.


My guess is that NoAus realized that Mario Kart hasn't sold 1:1 for every Wii in AUS like it has everywhere else in the world and they won't receive their bonus if they don't rectify that issue.
