"Luigi's Mansion, no replay value, are you insane?"

No I'm Ian Sane.  Slight spelling difference.

"Why do HAL even bother with Kirby titles?"

Wot?  Maybe because HAL is the developer that came up with Kirby?

No way Bill, it was Midway. I remember because I was playing Kirby on the Vic 20 Superbee and Kirby went "Oh yeah I know now" when the gates unlocked. Then it said "hay thx 4 playin k loser get all the chaos emeralds next time" and I was very sad in the pants.

I still wanna play Kirby Air Ride one day. I wanna know why Nintendo didn't add a 's after Kirby in that games title, either. It's very annoying, makes me go to the angry dome.

Luigi's Mansion.  They had to keep it super secret so that other companies wouldn't steal their innovative "no replay value" design.  It seems to have worked because no one has!

I thought Luigi's Mansion had okay replay value...I borrowed it from my friend for three days, and was able to beat it on the second night.  All of a sudden I'm introduced to "Harder Better Super Mode" or whatever...I never played it, though, as I returned it the next day, but that's gotta count for something, no?

Kirby rocks mucho.  Kirby Air Ride is quite fun.  I play it more than Mario Kart.

HAL is making the next Mario Party?  If so, I may very well get it.  I haven't bought one since 2 (and I didn't buy 1 ), but my friend has four and five.  Four isn't that great, and though five is fun the board actually has too many event spaces.  It takes forever.  Also, not enough awesome games like Penguin Stampede.

I replayed Luigi's Mansion once.  It hasn't got awesome replay for me, but it's not bad.

Do you wonder why Mario Tennis isn't called Mario's Tennis too?

I also found out there's a Mario pinball game for the DS I think.

Back to SM128. I just thought of something. If Mario somehow shrinks in the game inside an average house and was able to use a plumbing tool kit or something, there could be levels where he'd have to fix separated pipes so he can continue to the next area, or turn giant knobs to fill up a sink to swim out of it or w/e. Also the use of a plunger would allow Mario to (say if there was a level with shrunken Mario and he's in a bathroom) be able to choose different routes to the goal or completely different levels such as the bathtub (he'd use his plunger to pluck out the cork in the hole  and drain himself in it),  if he wanted to take the toilet route he'd do that pounding jump on the switch and jump in the swirling water and down the toile, and if he wanted to take the sink route, he'd  hop down the drain. There would be more stuff about plumbing and sewers and stuff that makes it very faithful to the Mario Bros. game. Also imagine all the levels outside the house! Mario exits the house through a small crack in the window and runs into an antfarm then there would be an antfarm level with dirt mounds and small hills as platforms and then entering the holes in an antfarm to discover a queen ant and then a boss battle begins. That would be so sick all these levels that I'm thinking of. If Mario was in a sandbox there would be a pseudo desert level with those ball-worms that were in previous Mario games. Tell me some of your ideas and what you think of mine.

That shrunken Mario idea is pretty neat.  The only problem is that our houses don't look like Mushroom kingdom houses so either the house wouldn't fit the Mario design or it would be it would lack some of the charm of seeing a familiar house design from a shrunken perspective.  I think the idea would be better used in an original game.

I just imagine Mario would warp to different "worlds" or levels somehow when there was a new level just like the paintings in SM64 and the uh, painted "M" on several places in Isle Delfino.

Hm, yes, the SMS and M&L buildings didn't have mushroom shape, either, so they could just have him save some other world.

Wasn't Mario Pinball only for the GBA? Yes, the DS can playGBA games, but still.

I'm not sure but that 2D Mario game for the DS looks pretty hot.

I think the concept of Luigi's Mansion actually WAS copied. Remember the game Fatal Frame (PS2)? I think it's the same thing except you capture ghosts with a camera and not a vacuum. I'm glad it didn't get good reviews. Buncha copycats.

I think the basic concept was similar, but the games aren't similar at all.  And both games have an average rating of about 80%+.  I don't see how they copied, the only real similarity is the ghosts and the way that the games play is different.

And the DS Mario game looks very cool.
